We went to the Wild Wing Cafe yesterday for the first time in ages. This was a reliable decent place to go to. Oh well, not anymore. The place was apparently sold and caters to a ... different ... demographic now. It seriously was like feeding time at the zoo. Any conversation was impossible. Even our server, when she wasn't busy shucking and jiving with other party animals, couldn't hear when we placed our pretty simple food and beverage order. Very frustrating, and a sign of things to come. The smell of marijuana in the parking lot should have tipped us off. No drinks appeared after 15 minutes. Finally three of the four drinks arrived. The first food arrived 26 minutes later ... but only two of our four orders. Eleven more minutes passed, no food, at which point we walked out. The sheer "din" of the noise was painful. People were screaming to be heard in conversation. We couldn't take it. We paid and left. And the cashier person (I hope it was a cashier) thought it was funny. It wasn't. The wait staff was very kind and apologetic, but unfortunately we waited over an hour to find out they had not yet made our food. Shortly after, they brought a totally incorrect order, and told us they didn't have fries yet. There were about 5 other tables in the restaurant, it seemed like others were also having issues. The men's restroom was disgusting, smelled of burnt Marijuana, and the floor was sticky? After approximately an hour we decided to leave, at this point we were told by the staff that our food was about 5 minutes from being done. I explained to the staff, we had waited an hour, been patient as the kitchen mixed up orders (we were told this about 30 minutes after we arrived). Why all the hate for Wild Wing Cafe? I have to set yall straight. I wish there was a Wild Wing Cafe in Dothan, AL where I am from. There are a million TVs in here to watch a game and nothing goes better with a game than wings and drinks. I have never had anything on the menu except for wings and there are 30 flavors to choose from. You cannot go wrong with any of the BBQ flavors. Personally, I love the Flying Fajita which tastes more like a teriyaki than Mexican flavor to me. Today, I had Flaming Parmesan which might be my next new favorite. It had the spiciness of the Buffalo sauce and all of the taste of Garlic Parmesan. The ranch tastes like it is made in-house. Sweet tea was maybe the best part! It was superior tea. The only complaint I have with Wild Wing is that I ordered my wings extra wet, which they failed at miserably. (I don't understand how to make wing places understand that extra wet means sopping wet...not what is normal.) Anyway, I asked for extra sauce and the waitress was about to charge me for it until I pointed out that I requested my wings to be extra wet. She got me some more sauce and didn't charge me. Near empty last night at 7:30. Probably due to the blaring volume of karaoke. My sister and I sat on the covered patio outside and were nonstop harassed by strange men from the bar (we were not at the bar, bar guests were going to bother people at their tables). They were extremely nasty to us when we declined their advances and refused to talk to them. The manager on duty needs to be mindful of what is happening at all times-- especially mindful of the way their guests poor behavior affects other guests, instead of hanging out with guests at the bar and not paying attention to the restaurant at all. I'm a manager in restaurant hospitality myself, and I truly mean it when I say this place is a literal joke. Today was the worse experience I've ever had at Wild Wing. One main problem is every time me and my husband come in here there's a new face behind the bar. The girl back there today was horrible, from customer service to her attitude. We waited 6-8mins before even being greeted. Crazy part is they weren't even busy!!!!! My particular wings tasted burnt but I wasn't sure if it was the ingredients burnt or the grease. My broccoli was dirty all the way through. I let my waitress know but wasn't asking her to return it and she just looked and took it. Matter of fact I had to ask all other waiters to wait on my table cuz our waitress disappeared for 30 min off the floor once we were served. I've never left a review before, so this is big of me. I want to be accurate to paint the full picture. I'll start with getting rid of Crystal behind the bar at Wild Wings Cafe in Columbus, GA, was a terrible decision. I met her just a few months ago when I moved here from Arizona. I knew right away that I wanted to come back here because her service was on point to say the least. She was always extremely attentive, competent in her bartending duties, and cared so much about the Wild Wing's Cafe customer base. Without Crystal working behind the bar at Wild Wing's, lately, it seems that the business has taken a turn for the worse. On April 18th, 2023, around 7:30PM, we went out for the Wild Wing's Trivia night. Myself and at least four other separate customers at the bar top were having conversations about how we have felt highly ignored this evening and other evenings as of recently. Tonight, a Tuesday evening (sort of a slow night), was one of the worst experiences at Wild Wings in Columbus. My friend and I got a spot at the bar quickly, but waited almost 45 minutes for our first drink to be placed down. There were dirty dishes and empty beers sitting in front of us the entire 45 minutes from the person who was there before. The waitress never wiped the area in front of us when the dishes were finally removed from the previous customer (not very clean in my opinion-gross)!! My friend and I placed an order of wings and a burger at the same time we had placed our first drink order. It later on was brought to our attention (almost 30 MORE minutes later), that the bartender never even put our food order in at all. We waited a very long time on the food order. During the rest of our stay at this trivia night, we and others at the bar waited 30 minutes or so it seemed for a drink each time we wanted a refill. We were pushing our glasses forward because they were empty with no staff refilling them. We couldn't help but to compare the subpar service here this evening to when a bartender named Crystal was behind the bar working. Her bright smile and happy personality is truly missed by everyone, while the bartender tonight walks back and forth ignoring the bar top customers as well as their empty drinks and dirty plates. Upper management needs to take a hard look or maybe come inside more often and be an actual customer to personally see how much longer service is taking these past few weeks without Crystal here. Tonight, I had to use my hands that had wings sauce on them to reach for my own cocktail straws, napkins, ask for limes, all while I'm eating messy wings. This is gross! Customers should not be reaching into the bins because they aren't getting napkins or straws. The napkins in the square box were near empty to top it off, so my hand had to go at least 3/4 into the black container. As a customer eating wings this is really unsatisfactory. My friends and I feel highly ignored here tonight and we all have had to ask for the bartender to come over to serve us more drinks. The bartender fails to acknowledge us at all, check on our side of the bar, and seems to keep her back turned towards us when she has walked by because all I can see is her name on the back of her pink shirt each time. I should have taken a photo of my stacked two cups with napkins in them to add to this yelp review post since it sat in front of me while we were ignored. When I pick where I want to go to in Columbus for cocktails and dinner, I think of the service, food and entertainment. This place used to have all of them on point with Crystal back there, but it's actually made me wish I'd gone to Old Chicago tonight which is just a few blocks away. I had become somewhat of "a regular," but I'm not sure when I'll be back to Wild Wings as I'll be looking for a place that has bartenders who actually "tend," to their customers and seem like they care about their needs while they are dining. Another sad point to make is that this all is occurring between the hours of 7:30PM-10PM, on a Tuesday night. The trivia night today was not near full capacity, in fact I think there were maybe four teams playing and so there wasn't even the leg to stand on of the place being busy. It's really just sad. I see business there declining longer term with this sort of ignorance, staff incompetency and lack of service which is too bad since the entertainment here is pretty good. Myself and many other customers at the bar tonight have all stated when it was brought up about "where is Crystal," that they are all upset for the changeover. I decided to write this review because it was the feeling of multiple regulars and I truly hope it's recognized to bring back the better staff to keep the customers happier and leaving feeling it was a good choice to go there. I'm not one to leave negative reviews but this was probably the worst service we have ever received at Wild Wings. My husband and I went to wild wings quite frequently before the pandemic food was always great, and service was decent. After the pandemic food/service were always hit or miss but we continued to come back. I myself was working in the service industry both pre/post pandemic and I know the struggles that that shutdowns caused on the industry, between the lack of people willing to come back to work, and the general public all of the sudden being increasingly unreasonable and rude to people in the service industry, the industry has had a hard time bouncing back. I bring this up because at 4 years post pandemic, the things I witnessed today isn't because of these issues but rather lack of leadership in management, and lack of a sense of urgency between wait and kitchen staff. We came to eat on a Sunday afternoon around 1:00 when most restaurants in the area will be on a 30-40 minute wait at this time, your restaurant only had about 5 tables and 4 or 5 guest at the bar. After being taken to our seats and getting my 2 young kids in their high chairs and set up to eat we waited 10 minutes or so before the host came up to us and said "your sever will be taking your order but I'm going to go ahead and grab your drinks" perfectly acceptable especially if the server is. Losing our a big party or something. I ordered a tea my husband ordered a beer after we received our drinks we waited another 20 minutes before our server came over to us greeted us and took our order. We ordered an appetizer and my kids food to come out first and then my husband and I both ordered wings. Another 20 minutes goes by and our server came by asked my husband if he wanted another beer and said "your appetizer will be our shortly" about 15 minutes later our appetizer showed up followed directly by my kids food and then 5-10 mins more our entrees came. Because I have been in this situation before I believe our server forgot to ring in the appetizer and kids food and realized it when she asked about my husbands beer. And has one made on the fly. Hey things happen, I'll never be mad at a server for making a mistake, but an apology is the least they can do. On our entrees both of our ranches were hot which indicates to me they were sitting under the heat lamp in the window for quite some time. My husbands were so dry he didn't even eat them. During this time I counted and there were a total of 7 tables in the restaurant and and the largest party may have been 6 people, 3 servers and a bartender. That would be an average of 2 tables per sever. As someone who worked in the industry over 10 years this isn't busy enough for us to wait over 20 minutes to be greeted and over an hour for food, unless the restaurant was not staffed properly. When we did see our server she was attentive and made sure our drinks were full but there was definitely a lack of sense of urgency from her or apology for the wait. I also witnessed an older couple that were sat and waited 20 minutes and left because no one even greeted them. read more

I've been here several times to meet with a girlfriend. The food and the drinks are really great. I mean it's Wild Wing...TVs everywhere and the beer is flowing and is cold. Don't expect a high quality fancy meal. Come here for football or some other sporting event because you'll be right at home if you do. The server took the food to wrong table and they thought it was there food, they lady at the table put her food on top of the salad after realizing that it was the wrong salad gave it back to the server, then sever went to waitress and said it was not that table, the lady from the table realize she left her food on top of a salad. Went get her food back. The waitress then brought the food over to our table after the lady who took her food off the salad. After telling my girl friend what I saw the lady from the table came over and told my girl friend the same thing. THIS IS Unsanitary as you can get. We had ask another server to help us because we needed condiments and refills and our waitress never came back. We observed plenty of staff so it's hard to know what the problem was. I order the Gold Rush Wings and fries and the buffalo chicken dip which was pretty good.
