This pace has been on my list to try, finally on a Tuesday night I might to get there. I met my big sis there. It was very quiet for awhile, then they pick up later. Offering authentic and freshly prepared Thai cuisine. It is a cozy, clean, and friendly atmosphere. Their About Us is on their wall showing the best rice from Thailand, soup, chicken, etc. We ordered a bunch a food and shared everything: 1. Half & Half - Steamed skinless dark and white meat chicken served with ginger garlic rice 2. Clucket - Thai seasoned bite size fried chicken 3. Chicken pot stickers - Fried dumplings filled with chicken 4. Steamed purple rice - As known as forbidden rice ( fiber content makes it more nutritious than many varieties of white rice) The staff member told us a little about the menu. I think she was the only person working, or maybe someone was in the back? Either way, the food was good and tasty with all the right seasonings plus cooked well. I need to come back to try the other items.

I have been wanting to check out Chick-A-Dee for a while and did not disappoint. We dined on a Tuesday night. It was pretty quiet. Go support this small business for them to continue staying in business. I loved the storyboard chicken mural detailed the sourcing of the fresh chicken. We tried the half and half with garlic rice, dumplings, purple rice, and clucket. The garlic and purple rice were so tasty. I can probably eat a few trays of the clucket nuggets with the thai sauce. It fried perfectly. The chicken portion size seems small for the high price. However, the sides were resonable to add with your meal. I am sure I'll return to try other items.

Chick-A-Dee is something I crave for atleast weekly. My favorite dish here is the classic which is dark meat chicken skinless that has been seasoned to perfection with Thai spices. The rice here is amazing quality and flavor too tastes like ginger and very soft texture. The chicken stock is simmered for 48 hrs which is the stock used to cook the rice. My husband ordered the white meat and it was very tender as well. Order comes with a nice broth. Thai iced tea tastes perfect not too sweet and just the right ratio of cream. Service is quick she is very nice. The restaurant is located in this small plaza across Barrows which was not too difficult to find. Inside it is clean and well decorated. My only request is please come to the East Valley !!

Glad I finally tried this place! We walked in and it was dead. I was nervous that the Yelp reviews were fake but the food was consistent with all the positive reviews! I got the classic chicken and it was super tender. My husband got the fried chicken and it was perfectly crispy outside and tender on the inside. Also bonus we got a free, sweet black tea without meal since we were there from 11-3pm which was awesome. The tea was actually very good. Highly recommend

I love chicken and rice. I could not decide so I went with the combo steamed chicken and fried chicken. I like steamed chicken more. The sauce is the best! We went early before dinner and this place was not busy (which is good for us). I guess/wish they would be busy for lunch. If I worked in downtown, I were going to stop by all the time.

Driven by this place a bunch of times. Decided to stop in and grab some takeaway. The service is typical counter service - cue up and order up. The menu is not large, but contains a good amount of options. The whole place revolves around chicken and rice. You can get the chicken steamed or fried. There are options for white or dark meat as well. The rice is either white or purple. I opted for 2 dishes - steamed chicken with rice and fried chicken with rice. We just ended up sharing so this gave us the best option to try the most items. The rice is very good - super flavorful. The chicken is also very good. i think I liked the steam chicken a bit more than the fried chicken. You get a choice of sauces to go with your dishes. We got sweet chili and traditional Thai. Both went really well with both types of chicken. I loved it and would definitely recommend Chick-a-Dee. N*joy..

Wow! Basically a hainan chicken! Super yummy! Growing up my mom would always make chicken rice and make a very similar sauce. chick a Dee is packed with flavor. Came on the weekend and the place was empty! I hope during the week they are busy because the food is so good! Very sweet Asian lady took my order and the food came out quickly. Order at the counter then find a seat and the food will be brought to your table. I wasn't expecting Thai tea and soup to come with the order. Pleasantly surprised. The Thai tea was very refreshing. I will def be back!

Chick-A-Dee 49 W Thomas Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85013 Thai owned business I'm back at one of my favorite spots after a long time. Today, as I head to my office, I couldn't resist stopping by for some of their delicious Chicken Soup. This soup is simply amazing, packed with hearty chicken flavor. If you're feeling under the weather, this Chicken Soup is a must-try! The tender chicken and flavorful broth really hit the spot and warm your soul. Don't miss out on their tasty Thai-style Chicken Rice too - it's absolutely delightful! The restaurant is run by two lovely Thai ladies who always greet you with a smile. Such a sweet touch!

Chick A Dee. Everyone loves a solid chicken and rice option, and this is it! The soup is decadent and chicken and rice tastes like home. 5 wings for 6 bucks is also a steal.

Half and half chicken meal with Thai traditional sauce and Thai tea

If I had to pick my favorite fast casual restaurant in Phoenix, Chick-a-Dee might be at the top. And there's no question that it's the only good, authentic chicken and rice spot in the Valley. I ordered the Half and Half to try both the dark and white meat, and was delighted that both were equally tender. Dipped in the Thai traditional sauce -- which tasted true to a classic khao man gai meal -- it was incredibly tasty! The soup was also light and flavorful, while the rice was perfectly seasoned. I was also pleasantly surprised that the Thai tea was fantastic too. While I'd prefer it just a touch less sweet, it had a solid amount of tea flavor and was a nice addition to the meal. If only I still lived in the area! This would absolutely be my go-to lunch spot.

The food here is so good!! This shop is located in midtown, right on Thomas Road across from St. Joe's Hospital. There's some parking available in the lot that's right in front of the store, and you can find seating indoors. I personally ordered the half-and-half, which has steamed dark and white chicken meat served with ginger garlic rice. I got my order promptly, and I knew it was going to be good when I opened up the package containing the chicken. I was given generous portions of chicken, and it was juicy and tender. It went very well with the rice and small containers of ginger garlic broth and thai traditional sauce. I literally did not stop eating until I felt full -- that's how you know the food is delicious! I'm definitely going to return in the future to order more of their chicken. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant!!

If you are looking for an interesting and outstanding dining experience than I highly recommend this restaurant. I did have this on my list for a while. I finally decided to give it a try and I will definitely be back! The concept is definitely different but every item I purchased was absolutely delicious. The food is also very filling the portions are great for the price point. I ordered the combo with sweet thai chili sauce. I did have a chance to try the thai original sauce and I do recommend that more than the sweet thai chili. Chicken was prepared perfectly and the rice goes so well with the chicken. Some of the items here look so simple but are elegant. The soup provided with the meal is so clean tasting and a really nice accompaniment to the meal. Wings and Culkets had a really nice seasoning that reminded me of many delicious thai foods. They were fried nicely and not oily or greasy at all. Thai tea is also very good. Customer service was excellent. I do regret I took so long to try this because it's definitely a gem of Phoenix!!

This place is so good! We loved the regular hainan chicken especially and the rice was perfect. We got the banana dessert which was great but the ratio of banana to icecream was quite large (so much icecream). Love this concept!

We were a party of 12 visiting on vacation, and none of us are from the area. We ordered spam musubi and a chicken skewer as appetizers. Both appetizers arrived well after our entrees had already been served and we had essentially finished eating. Each time we asked about them, we were repeatedly told, "They're coming." Mind you, these are simple appetizers that should not take anywhere near that long to prepare. When we asked for the third time, we finally asked that the appetizers be cancelled since we had already finished our meal. At that point, the gentleman working the front area , tall, with red hair, loudly yelled from across the restaurant, in an extremely rude and confrontational tone, "It's already on the grill!" There was absolutely no reason to speak to paying customers that way. His response was unprofessional, unnecessary, and honestly created a very hostile and uncomfortable feeling during what should have been an enjoyable dinner, especially while our group was on vacation and simply trying to enjoy a meal together. When the appetizers eventually came out, we left them sitting there because we were already done eating and ended up taking them to go. He eventually told us they would be removed from the bill, which we appreciated, but that did not excuse the way the situation was handled. Again, the food was good, but good food does not make up for poor service and especially not for an employee speaking to customers in an aggressive and disrespectful manner. Management should seriously address how customers are treated, because the interaction with this particular employee overshadowed what could have otherwise been a good dining experience for our party of 12.

The place was buzzing with loud electronic music and tons of people dining -- I think because the ceiling is so high the noise is amplified. Because it was so busy it took a while for the server to come over but he did with waters which was nice but then the menus are all on QR codes -- which is annoying because it is hard to look at everything and because the menu is very confusing it would have been nice to see everything on paper. The menu is confusing because the selections are very odd -- I thought it was a mexican-asian/sushi fusion restaurant -- which I guess it is but it was still really hard to create the best food experience when I couldn't see everything available. My friend was hungry so she immediately put in an order for calamari and I was being called to order the blood orange margarita slushie. When the margarita came it was like nothing I have ever seen before. It looked more like a milkshake or like a creamsicle. I dove in thinking it would be too sweet but it was actually quite delicious and I sucked it back in a second! Also I put in an order for the edamame which sounded really good in the description -- "woodfired" and spicy miso butter -- but when they came they were really spicy and the woodfired element was making me cough, strangely enough -- I couldn't finish them! Finally after waiting forever we got the drinks and apps. It then took another 15 minutes to order our food. Again it was busy and my friend and I were catching up so it wasn't a big deal. We wanted a fairly light dinner so we just ordered one roll -- the Fuego, which had yellowtail and a whitefish, chili, cilantro and cucumber plus a pico de gallo on top -- it was very flavorful -- although a bit spicy for those who are spice wimps like me. When my salad arrived, I didn't see any roasted rice, so I asked the server. He had to go back to the kitchen to ask the chef and eventually brought me a small dish of powder, saying it was roasted rice powder. If that's what is actually served, the menu should clearly say "roasted rice powder" rather than "roasted rice." The Beef Stew Soup Noodles also had very little broth. I mentioned this to another waitress, who said she would ask the kitchen to bring me more broth. She never came back with it and didn't follow up until she brought the check. Then I noticed I had been overcharged. The Larb Salad was listed on the menu at $14.95, but I was charged $17.95. When I questioned the waiter, he said it was because I chose chicken and that chicken was the main protein. But I did not add extra chicken--I simply chose chicken as my protein, exactly as the menu allowed. I asked to speak with the manager, and eventually the charge was corrected. However, the waiter brought me the new receipt without any apology or acknowledgment of the mistake. Overall, I was disappointed with the lack of attention to detail and customer service. My advice: Read the menu carefully, and most importantly, check your receipt before you pay.

Was mostly empty this Saturday, one amblivant waitress. Later three other came to get seated, service is slow! How's the food? Actually pretty good for Az. Chicken feet of the frozen kink reheated were four stars, house noodles was as well as Mango shaved ice five stars, not Taiwan good but good for phoenix. Wonder when and if the TSMC crowd will give it a go, the Chinese place down on Happy Valley is hopping with them, should this place.

Ellie was our server and she was so sweet, friendly and attentive. If you dine with them often they will take note of your preferences for your future visits. Gotta love a restaurant that prices itself on the details to make customers feel welcome. We went here for lunch and shared the prix fixe menu which was an excellent way to try a lot off their menu. We had the akami te and hama chili for the first course. I am cilantro adverse so I requested the micro cilantro greens to be taken off the akami te which was an easy adjustment. Note that the sauce on the bottom does have some cilantro mixed in but I didn't notice a strong cilantro flavor with that and it tasted good with the rest of the dish. The hama chili was also really delicious with just the right amount of spice. Our second courses were the crispy rice with added wagyu beef and walu walu. Honestly, I like lunch as it works better with my schedule, and I get to enjoy the experience midday! All the perks at dinner but a different vibe. I was looking forward to the meal & the experience, and it did not disappoint. To our server, Valerie, you did an amazing job and like a few others, will be forever engraved in my head when I'm coming back. Upfront disclaimer... yes, Japanese. I actually had in mind getting the burger before coming, as the last time I came I chose something different and I had a bite from my friend, and it left a lasting impression for sure. This Burger hits different, and it's part of the prefix menu... and man, it's good!!! Cooked medium and served with a miso aioli and these onions that are not heavy and I think tossed with kimchi. Don't get me wrong... I wouldn't come here without grabbing some sushi. I ended up getting the Hamachi Nigiri and the Maguro Nigiri. To drink, I had the Tsurai cocktail, as I like a little tequila with fruit and we shared the iced tea. My business associate got the Sushi Omakase, which I had before. Bottom line, we were still raving about the food, the service, and just the vibe during the day.
