Aji de gallina

We really liked this place but service was on the slower side and lunch did take quite some time to get. Also our food was not very hot when we got it. However we did like it. First, they gave us complimentary Peruvian bread which was light as a feather, piping hot, served with a chimichuri like dip, and our of this world yummy! 10/10 would go back to eat 100 of those. Haha. We got some Peruvian beers, aji de gallina, and Peruvian paella for our meal. Took home leftovers and our son LOVED it too. We will be back to try their buffet next time. They also have a sister restaurant that opened in downtown sac but it does not have a buffet. My favorite part might be that they have a cute giftshop inside with alpaca goods and Peruvian gifts. So unique and some truly soft teddy bears.

WOW!!!! Service was amazing, Liz was very attentive and helpful in deciding what to get. The restaurant is very clean and it's perfect for family dinners or date night. The food was amazing!!!!! The flavors are exceptional! I was so impressed, I did go a little out of my comfort and I'm so glad I did. The mixed of ingredients are well balanced and go so well together. I will definitely be back when I'm back in town. I also love that every end of the month they have a Buffett breakfast. Highly recommend

First time trying Peruvian food and this was such a great experience! I came with a group of 8 and everyone enjoyed their dish! The service was excellent! They were very kind and helped us with recommendations. They also told us they have a buffet once a month to try more of their dishes. I had the Lomo Saltado a La Antigua and the sauce in the dish was super flavorful!! The sauce was savory and paired well with the meat and rice. Lomo Saltado a La Antigua 10/10

My mom surprised my youngest and I with takeout! She ordered the Lemon Butter Ahi Ahi, Pork Belly Carapulcra and a side of Jasmine Rice. My mom and baby loved everything and I would definitely return for their drool-worthy ahi ahi! Nice presentation and my mom said customer service was amazing! SYOY! :-)

Lomo Saltado a La Antigua, a bit salty but reminded me Peru.

A Window to Peru, Right in Our Neighborhood This unassuming Peruvian gem isn't just a restaurant--it's a passport stamp in disguise. From the moment you enter, you're whisked to Peru with calming decor, colorful benches, and a Peruvian soundtrack. Ambience & Decor:vibrant details, and walls dressed like a festival you can walk through. Cuisine Vibe: bright, citrus-kissed flavors that honor tradition while inviting new tastes. Food was amazing! Pricey but good experience for a Peruvian touch. Beef stew great. Pollo saltado great! Ceviche platter was delicious although very filling. Vibes good and food good

This might be my new favorite Peruvian spot in Roseville! I can totally see this place getting super popular soon. My friends and I came in on a Thursday around 5 pm and the place was empty, so we got seated immediately. It was decorated beautifully and the ambiance was nice and casual. For drinks, we tried the house sangria, chicha morada, and mango lemonade--solid choices to kick things off. Since it was still happy hour, we couldn't resist ordering some apps: chicharrón de pollo, yucas a la huancaína, and an empanada. I was expecting the chicharrón to be like pork rinds, but nope--this was even better! The sauces that came with the apps were also on point. For mains, we went with the ceviche trio and lomo saltado. Heads up: the lomo saltado portion is HUGE--definitely enough for two people to share. The ceviche trio was also tasty, with three different styles. Honestly, the flavor differences were subtle (besides one being a little more lime-forward and the seafood variety), but still super fresh and delicious. We ended on a sweet note with their Peruvian bread pudding topped with vanilla ice cream--just the right amount of sweetness to wrap things up. Overall, I loved everything about this meal, and I'll absolutely be back. Next time, I'm planning to hit their Sunday brunch buffet... I heard there's a whole dessert spread, and that sounds like heaven.

Great little spot with fantastic food. We had the chicken stew, taro chips, chimichurri and chicken pachamanquero - all were fantastic! The service was also on point. Definitely worth the drive from Elk Grove.

First time to visit this Peruvian restaurant, and on Christmas Day. Surprisingly, it was not busy. The service is slow, so not a place fora quick bite. Everything was excellent. We started with ceviche and fried plantains. Main dishes were Seafood paella, Lomo (beef) saltado plate, and Pollo (chicken) saltado plate. The Peruvian decor makes it feel authentic. Rolling reel of Peruvian vistas is also a nice touch.

Service was a bit slow. Ambiance was nice. Parking was easy since it's located in a strip mall. Food was absolutely delicious. Lots of great flavors. I had the chicken dish with veggies and the chicken was very tender and juicy, it had a sauce on top that was savory and the veggies were a delightful combination of potatoes and sweet potatoes and zucchini

This is my first time trying Peruvian food. I came here with a group of friends. We ordered different dishes, so we can share family style, and get try a variety of different items. Everything was very good. They offer a buffet on the last Sunday of the month for $45. The staff was very nice and friendly.

Interior

I ordered the chicken pachamanquero which was good; the dishes here pack a punch of flavor. It was great to try Peruvian food for the first time here. The service was friendly and there was lots of seating.

Ivy R.

I was looking forward to visit this Peruvian restaurant and it wasn't what I thought. First they offered a buffet style which I did not choose. The majority of the group picked out dishes to share as appetizers and for the most part all were okay. I did enjoy the maduros and yuca frita. My main dish was too watery and I like my paella more pasty in texture. The service was fast and efficient but just not my favorite dishes.

Ceviche trio ( A+)

A classic breakfast sounded good at the time... From the breakfast menu I chose the Juke Box Special but the friendly server suggested the Soldier Boy instead which was basically the same thing except this included grilled potatoes and only one pancake. The server urged me to try the potatoes... omgosh! it was so good, they were grilled and I love the crunchiness. Nothing fancy on the menu just good, ole' classic home cookin' and diner "comfort food." Breakfast is served all day. They were perfectly soft but with a slight crisp on the outside just like I like them. The filling was sweet but not overly and was well balanced with the slight bitterness from the berry topping on the crepes. When we walked in, the food smelled pretty good! We were seated right away, and Mark S. was our server. After looking over the menu, I asked Mark for a recommendation. While we waited, we sipped on our tasty waters. We were seated in a booth near the front, where we could see everyone working hard in the kitchen. The restaurant was starting to slow down, but the servers and cooks were still buzzing around. It didn't take long for our food to arrive, and both plates were picture-perfect! My Chilaquiles de Chef comes with rice, beans, sunny-side-up eggs, avocado, and a piece of asada laid across, topped with cotija. My daughter's plate was simpler, but it still looked fantastic. Unfortunately, my food was barely warm. I let Mark know, and about 10 minutes later, I received an entirely new plate. This time, the plate was so hot I couldn't touch it--and thankfully, the food was nice and hot too! The chilaquiles were okay. The green sauce was pretty tart, but once the egg yolks oozed over everything, it tasted much better. The asada was also a nice touch. There was so much food on my plate that I couldn't finish it all! My daughter enjoyed her protein plate, which came with chicken, egg whites, avocado, and rice. It also came with soy sauce packets, if that tickles your fancy. She also ordered a Strawberry Waffle topped with strawberries and whipped cream for a little taste of sweetness--and boy, was that delicious! Another seasonal drink that I tried was the pumpkin cold foam chai, and it pretty much was like a melted milkshake with a little bit of chai flavor lol. Didn't notice much pumpkin at all. Too milky for my liking, but if you're a fan of Starbucks Frappucinos, then this might be the seasonal drink for you. As for the desserts here, I enjoyed the eclair (nicely assembled and had smooth and rich dark chocolate on it) but was disappointed on the fruit tart (the fruit toppings were vibrant and plump, but the custard was missing a strong vanilla taste and I wasn't a fan of the egg-white-based crust that ended up sticking to the foil cardboard base). Friendly staff. Super cozy cafe vibes especially with the pothos houseplants (so cute that water propagations of cuttings are table decor). Ample lot parking.

Walking into the restaurant, the initial impressions are relatively positive. The overall environment is clean, though the management desperately needs to clean the glass and plexiglass surfaces, which were noticeably smudged. Additionally, the staff deserves credit for delivering genuinely good service throughout the visit; the waitstaff was attentive, polite, and well-intentioned. Unfortunately, excellent hospitality cannot salvage what can only be described as a catastrophic failure in the kitchen. The centerpiece of this culinary tragedy was the ironically named Bounty Burger, a dish that seems to have earned its title solely due to its egregious crimes against culinary excellence. When placing the order, the kitchen was explicitly asked to prepare the burger to a standard medium temperature. What actually arrived at the table was cooked to absolute oblivion, easily described as half past dead. The patty was dry, devoid of flavor, and completely stripped of any moisture. Compounding this issue was the inexcusable quality of the toppings. The lettuce tucked inside the bun was brown, wilted, and well past its prime, proving that the kitchen lacks basic quality control for its fresh ingredients. The only saving grace of the entire experience was the side of potato salad. It was remarkably well-made, creamy, properly seasoned, and genuinely very good. However, a single side dish cannot carry the weight of a ruined entree. It was a small island of quality in a sea of disappointment, and it ultimately did not save the meal. Between the severely overcooked meat and the decaying produce, this was a thoroughly disappointing dining experience that I cannot recommend.

It's not the biggest burrito but not the smallest either. To be honest, I was a little turned off at first. Not because it was in a gas station (that actually gives me higher expectations), but because I asked for the burrito and was given one premade out of the warmer. Also, maybe I didn't look around very much, but I didn't see any salsa. When I got home and tried it though, it was pretty perfect. Tortilla maybe a little burnt, but besides that perfect. Luckily I had a good hot runny salsa at home which works perfect for breakfast burritos. I'll be back next time and ask if they have salsa though - that would push it to 5 stars (if the salsa is good I guess).
