We had an enjoyable time here. We really enjoyed the empanadas. They were super flavorful! The pork tamale was okay. We also really enjoyed our main entrées. I had the salmon with the cilantro rice. The salmon itself was quite rare in the center. I think this might be the default cooking method. I believe you can ask for medium well also. My husband had the beef and spaghetti and had his meat medium well. Both dishes were very flavorful and quite delicious. We finished with the churro dessert. It was a nice light dessert to share (not too much ice cream). The restrooms were clean and well-kept. The service was good and the overall ambiance was pleasant. Our friend who is from Peru recommended this place, and we were intrigued by the last Sunday of the month buffet, so made reservations. There were several parties gathered before the restaurant opened, and the first seating was from 11:30 - 1pm. First time around, I took a small portion of each food offered, and cleaned my plate! Everything was authentic and well-prepared and presented. Second time, I ate the things that I liked the most, then got some of their bite-sized desserts. Then went back for more ceviche, even though I was full. It's just that good. The waiter we had was pretty terrible. He took forever to bring us water, and then disappeared. He never refilled our water, and we sat for at least 20 minutes after we were clearly done eating, waiting for the bill. We were not the only table of his that he neglected. He just disappeared! He did offer us 10% off cards for our next visit, but I will admit that we tipped him lower than usual (10% vs our usual 20%). When it's a buffet, your only job as a waiter is to refill our waters and get us our check, and he just didn't do that. So why does this place still get 5 stars? Because the food is just that good. Didn't get to try it but kiddo said the flavor of the chicken was good and meat wasn't dry, but wished the exterior was crispier. 3) Pesto con lomo saltado - Hubs ordered this one and let me try the pesto pasta. I thought the pesto came through really nicely and liked that it was creamy. Hubs said good flavor with the lomo saltado. 4) Pescado a lo macho - I liked the white fish, crispy on the outside and fish was firm. Also liked the sauce and the combo of that with the garlic rice. Topped with one mussel, good amount of calamari and about 4 pieces of shrimp. 5) Anticuchos - we love beef hearts and were excited to try these. Liked that it's served with corn - different. I'm got gluten intolerant or vegetarian, but it looked like they had a very good variety/selection to cater to those dietary restrictions! The dishes we ordered tastes absolutely delicious. I'm not familiar with this region, I don't know what's the average dish price, but the items on the menu aren't low cost. This place is legit and authentic Peruvian food! Their service is amazing and every time it has been a great experience. I've tried their ceviche, arroz chaufa, and lomo saltado. It's so good that one of my post Covid meals was this and even though my taste buds weren't 100% ordering this food was the pick me up that I needed. Their chicha morada is really refreshing. They get very busy, I've done delivery and eating at the restaurant. Both have been great service. They have music on specific dates and hold a nice buffet on the last weekend of the month, you have to confirm which date. There's parking right outside, is on the Cirby and sunrise plaza. It was my first time having Peruvian food and I absolutely loved the flavors. Surprisingly enough, my favorite item was the beef heart. I didn't think I would enjoy it at all but I was so wrong. I tried the "national dish" but it honestly tasted like regular food I'd cook at home. Just a mixture of meat, fries, rice, tomatoes and onions... a little random. I thought it was awesome they had a happy hour for some appetizers so I took advantage of that to try a lot of stuff. The restaurant was quiet and empty. The server was very sweet and recommended I taste their chicha morada which is a purple corn drink loaded with health benefits. I tasted a lot of pineapple in it and overall, it was refreshing. I do have to mention that it took an insane amount of time waiting for each dish to come out when it wasn't busy at all. The other hiccup I unfortunately encountered was that they tried implementing a new system/tool for giving patrons their bill and I was charged over $80 for whatever reason which took an hour to resolve. I ordered the beef hear anticuchos, tallarind saltado with steak, and the lomo Saltado with steak to go. The anticuchos were a good size and the meat was not too tough. It was easy to bite and chew. The potatoes were also yummy. The tallarind saltado was probably my favorite. The sauce is so good over the noodles. The steak in both entrees weren't tough at all and you could even just pull it apart with your hands. The rice was also seasoned as well. The food here is really delicious! We started off with a bottle of the Intipalka Chardonnay that was crisp for all the seafood we ordered. We got the Pimental, Tiradito costa verde, and Chalaco and they were all sooo delicious. For a drink I got the Chicha morada (a corn drink) it was a little sweet and honestly tasted like pineapple. I thought it was tasty but if you're not into a sweeter drink I'd get something else. We had Aji de Gallina and Lomo Saltodo de Pollo with corn cilantro soup. While everything was not bad, it really didn't wow me at all.....Definitely not good enough to impress me and make me want to come back. Again this place is not bad, but if you had a fair amount of Peruvian food then you won't be impressed. This place to me is more like 3.5 star but rounding up to 4. read more
