Chicana I wanna... eat more lol My gf is vegetarian and they have all vegan foods which makes my life so much easier bc I am an omnivore so it's a good plant-based alternative for me. My favorite is the mexigogi taco bc the sauce and the way they cook their "meat" didn't make me feel like I knew I was eating vegan food. They have burritos, burgers, fries, nachos, and tacos with some dessert options. I'm glad there's a Mexican food place for vegetarians bc I feel bad they my gf has limited choices at most Mexican restaurants that don't have a good protein base. Service was quick for pick up and there's a few tables inside to eat. 10/10 would recommend.
First time here and it was so good! Couldn't even tell it's vegan. The guacamole and chips were divine too. Chunky guac and the chips weren't greasy at all. We ordered it all to go and it was ready on time. They double checked to make sure we got everything too.

A surprising vegan find in downtown Fullerton! The restaurant inside is cozy and vibrant, with a variety of menu items including tortas, tacos, quesadillas, and breakfast items. The lady at the front gave us a breakdown of the flavor profiles of the proteins, and shared her favorite menu items. Since it was taco tuesday, we opted to try all the taco flavors and our favorites were the jackfruit carnitas and al pastor. The smoky medium salsa was a perfect complement to the sweeter flavors of the taco proteins.
First time coming here, will NOT be my last. Ordered three tacos, 1 al pastor, 1 asada, and 1 carnitas. The Al pastor had the most flavor of the three, but they were all great and served with a hearty portion of meat. Got the potato taquitos as well and they were good too, very simple in execution and so delicious! The California burrito was phenomenal as well! Great portions for all three dishes, they were shared between two people and we left stuffed and practically didn't eat the rest of the day from how filling it was. The employee at the front was sweet and the food came out quickly. Prices were also extremely reasonable, all the vegan spots I had previously gone to tended to be a little more expensive just due to the nature, but this place had great prices for the portion sizes, that alone will have me back. The restaurant itself is small but they had plenty of tables to compensate - didn't feel cramped whatsoever. Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, or simply wanting to try out plant-based spot, I'm pretty certain there's nothing on the menu that WOULDN'T be delicious. I'll be back soon enough!
Holy, I think this was probably the best I've had from here! PARKING: there is street parking in front of the restaurant but it's a high traffic kinda area so we usually don't park there. I like to utilize the lot nearby since it's walking distance (3 minutes tops.) There is a wide selection of food here, from burgers to burritos to tacos -- they have a great selection! I saw they recently added some meatball soup and posole. I will definitely have to return to give that a try. I usually stick to the burgers with an impossible patty and can I just say they are exceptional! Well seasoned and delicious. I usually stick with my cali dreamin burger but that breakfast burger was absolutely delicious. It had a perfectly crisp hash brown :) Service was a bit more reserved today but I'm not complaining here. Absolutely love Cheyenne and the other worker with curly hair (I forgot her name but she has an autism badge of some sort.) They always make my day with their great service! We came at a good time. It was quiet and peaceful. The tables were cleaned and they recently added a self serve station!! Absolutely love that. By far, one of my favorite vegan places to frequent :) highly recommend this place.
Chicana is a downtown Fullerton eatery serving up vegan tacos, burritos, burgers, and more. Parking in DTF is always hit and miss, but you might get lucky and score a spot right out front on Commonwealth, or more likely in the parking lot right behind the restaurant. The inside is a little on the small side, but there are several tables, as well as two bar shaped tables facing the front window, which makes for good people watching. The walls are decorated nicely with a large colorful mural on one wall, and the other with greenery and Veganland spelled out in Hollywood sign letters. Both walls feature their superhero character. They also have a small patio with several tables behind the building. I stopped by to place and wait for a to-go order for my girlfriend. Jocelynn was at the register and was very friendly. When my order was ready, she brought it out to the table where I was sitting and waiting. I brought home an al pastor taco and two jackfruit carnitas tacos ($3.75 each), the kale salad ($7.95), and some extra salsa. I didn't taste any of the food myself, but she loved it all and said it was five stars all the way.
Excellent vegan restaurant! Delicious grub, authentic Mexican fare, burgers & tacos, bomb aguas frescas, and more! My personal favorites are the Mexgogi Fries, Chilaquiles (with jackfruit carnitas), kale salad, and the unbelievably refreshing horchata. And the Trés Leches cake is everything!!! Staff is great, very kind and considerate, there's even a little to-go stand to box up your leftovers to go, including napkins and a paper bag, without having to bother anyone. Very thoughtful! A precious gem located in downtown Fullerton. Go support Vegan Business!!
Met up with my friends here for a few reasons.... I'm Vegan, we needed somewhere where pets can hangout with us and it was pretty much between where we live. Please note "pet friendly" doesn't mean you can bring pets inside even just to order food....technically that is the law even though some places let you order and leave with food if you bring a pet.... They have a back small courtyard area to eat and you can bring your dogs out that way....I got a breakfast burrito and it was really good and I would highly recommend that as a choice to eat....my friends got tacos, ramen and another got the breakfast burrito as well.... Everything was really good and what I wanted....I'm glad I finally made it out to try this place....even if you aren't Vegan give it a chance!
One of the best Vegan Mexican restaurants I've ever been to! Reminded me of my favorite vegan taco stand I visited in Tulum. Jocelyn the cashier/server was so kind she gave us great suggestions and even gave us a Jicama Fresca on the house. Thanks again! Tacos and Nachos were so good!! Love the asada. Getting extra avocado on the nachos and extra queso for dipping is a must! Torta was good too, only thing I wish is they toasted the bun or kept it on the grill to make it crispy.
I'm obsessed! The service was outstanding, and the woman behind the counter answered all of my questions with so much patience and kindness. Ambience is quiet and neutral perfect for a quick bite by yourself or with someone. As someone who doesn't eat red meat, this place has quickly become one of my favorite spots for nachos. The food tastes authentic and packed with flavor. The portion sizes are great for the price, big enough to share with someone else. I'll definitely be coming back.
Sooooo good!!!!! This was my second time coming here. My husband's first time. I was so excited to come back! The food here is amazing! One of the best vegan food restaurants. I absolutely love the Calibaerito (cali burrito vegan style). It is so filling and delicious! It's loaded with lots of fries. Next time I will do extra cheese on the burrito. I also ordered the supreme fries. Those were huge with a ton of fries! I did asada for the fries and the Cali burrito. The supreme fries were top notch! So good!! You just have to eat it fast before the fries get soggy lol I also tried an Al pastor taco. It was okay. I don't think I like the Al pastor meat. I'd order a taco again, but do the asada meat for protein. My husband had the mushroom burger and animal style French fry. He loved both. The animal style French fry was a huge hit for him. He enjoyed the mushroom burger too. This was a win all around! Service was good. They are very friendly and kind people. I love this place! We will be back. :)

Solid vegan place!! I love the variety of options and that they focus on Mexican dishes! Between the Mexgogi Classico & El Classico burritos, I enjoyed El Classico the most. The canned taste of the beans hinders the burritos, but if you can get past that, they're both pleasant! For that reason, next time I'd order with light beans & extra cilantro & onion. The red (?) salsa I got with the burritos elevated the experience! The location is cute, service is friendly and efficient. Parking is convenient considering this location is in downtown! read more

So incredibly delicious!! We tried the horchata, carne asada burrito, street tacos (carne asada, carnitas, al pastor, and Mexgogi), and the tres leches cake. Everything was amazing, but the Al pastor and tres leches were our favorite!! Wish I tried this place sooner and will definitely be back for more! Service was also lovely and prompt! You know I'm not a vegan but this place is actually really really good. My favorite was the carnitas tacos. It tasted almost like the real thing. The French fries for mexgogi fries were so crispy! And I tried the chile de arbol hot sauce and it was quite tasty and has a nice kick . The place itself was small but quite cute. And the service was quick and efficient. read more

One of the best wet burritos I've EVER had. Street tacos. 10/10. Chilli dog. 11/10. Really nice people Jocelyn is awesome. Drinks are great. Really cool vibe inside my one complaint if you can call it that. My breakfast burrito this morning was so freaking hot. Insanely hot it felt microwaved. Not positive. But that's what it felt like. Downtown Fullerton- Parking in the back- you can walk around or through another storefront to get to the front as Chicana does not have a back entrance. The food is tasty and looks delicious. This restaurant is great not only is it vegan but the portions are huge for the price as myself senior on a budget this is great ,this is my first time coming to this restaurant but it won't be my last I'm travel Nurse going to try every item in the menu. I knew I was going to like this place because I am an adventurous eater, but I did not know I would like it this much! Its fantastic. For the disclaimer, I am not vegan or vegetarian. My sister and I do dinner dates and love trying places we have never been. We loved everything! The restaurant is colorful and beautiful. It is a small restaurant with limited seating, but we were able to get a table. My sister had the "al pastor" signature nacho fries. I had the "carne asada" Cali Bae burrito. It was fantastic! All the ingredients really went well together. The mild salsa was perfect for the level of heat I can tolerate. We also shared the potato taquitos. Wow, these were so delicious. I order these anywhere and everywhere, and these were some of the best I have had. We also enjoyed the aguas. Next time I would love to try the house made veggie patty. I didn't see it on the website, so I wasn't aware there was one. I absolutely love house made veggie patties. I can't wait to go back soon and enjoy a veggie burger with the wonderfully seasoned fries. read more

I was in the area and saw Chicana Vegana and decided to take a look. Not only was the atmosphere comfortable, but the staff were super friendly. I unfortunately did not take pictures of the food but I had el Classico Burrito with jackfruit. This was really good, extremely filling. The jackfruit wasn't sweet at all which I have sometimes encountered but at Chicana Vegana, it complimented the burrito well. I had my meal with Horchata with oat milk and that is a drink I definitely recommend. I will come here again whenever I am in the area as the experience was positive all around. read more

I am always delighted by the ambiance of this place! Somehow, I seem to walk in five minutes before the rush and get my food in no time! Also, it's the same great quality no matter what, and the person taking care of us is wonderfully helpful! This time, I tried the chocolate peanut butter square and couldn't keep my hands off it while I waited for the rest of my food; delighted! I went with the Cherry Cola Olipop on the recommendation of my server and was NOT disappointed I am almost too excited for my Jr. Beyond Burger, chicken nuggets, and seasoned French Fries for words! My friend and i go here often and we LOVE it. Food: 10/10. No complaints at all. If you're vegetarian or vegan (or even if you eat meat) this place is soooo good. Everything is vegan but tastes AMAZING. The flavors are incredible. My favorite dishes: carne asada tacos, Al pastor tacos, classic burger with beyond patty, & their French fries or nachos with the choice of meat & other toppings. Ambiance: super cute little restaurant. Not big but there is enough seating for everyone inside and also a cute patio in the back. It's always clean every time i go and very well decorated. It's not always super busy which is perfect otherwise it'll get too cramped in there. But you can tell it's a popular spot. The ambiance is great Service: AMAZING. I've had my eyes and interest on this place for a while, finally made my move and feel complete. Heavily impressed by the food, the Cali Dreamin' burger hit home. We got one as impossible and one beyond (no lettuce) - both with fries. Similar in taste for the burgers, decently seasoned fries, priced ok for the plate. Also got a side of the Mac N Cheese in their cashew cheese. That improved my whole afternoon. I'd like to try one of their burritos next and see how they put those together. We went during an oddly slow lunch hour. The chick working the register was very friendly, educated me on their menu, and checked in for feedback on our choices towards the end of the meal. Definitely only order 1 food item, unless you plan on sharing cause the serving sizes are huge!! We tried the loaded fries, tacos, burrito, "jack in the box" tacos, s'mores and biscoff deserts... everything was delicious!! Staff is friendly and they offer water cups, so you can fully enjoy all the flavor from the food. Definitely recommend this place read more

Plenty of seating. Parking is easy. The variety on thee u is good. I chose nachos -protein was carnitas. Flavor was good the ooziness of cheese was good. I added more salsa. Also the Salsas are in house made. I also ordered the mexogolgi taco. That was Delish the sweetness and texture of the meat mimicked meat close. The balance was great. Next was carne asada street taco. All great flavors. I can't wait to try the burrito next and also fries. read more
First time trying this while I was in Fullerton waiting on the train. I've heard of vegan spots with a similar name so I nearly skipped over them until I checked out their menu. They have chili cheese! If you've been vegan/vegetarian long enough, you know 'animal style' burger/fries are common, while plant-based chili cheese is more rare. So that immediately caught my attention and warranted a try. The decor and ambiance of this place is nice. They have patio/outdoor seating around the corner and a handful of tables and chairs and tables inside. A nice sized, clean restroom. This isn't a big place, but it's very efficient in that they clearly make the most of everything they do have so it doesn't feel lacking in any way. I had to order the things that I feel really show the measure of a vegan restaurant-mac n cheese, jr cheeseburger, chili cheeseburger, chili cheese fries and the basic breakfast sandwich. I wanna know that your cheeseburger is actually cheesy, same with the mac. Also, how is the cheese, does it have an aftertaste? Is it spot on? Does the breakfast sandwich remind me of the egg McMuffin I grew up loving-I know, I know, we shouldn't be comparing. mac-more soupy than creamy (like Panera) but has a distinguishable taste that is unique to this spot. I enjoyed it. jr cheeseburger-this is juicy. Not bad, just not what I was expecting, not my fav Chili cheeseburger and fries- The chili is on point. The fries are also perfect, nearly made me wish I had a separate order of regular fries to enjoy on their own. I would order both again and add extra cheese. That is what I felt was missing, not enough taste of cheese whether on the jr cheeseburger, or with the chili cheese to balance out the chili. Mexmuffin sandwich-worked for me. I'd ask for grape jelly next time if they have it. Customer service I didn't have an issue with as I ordered online and I think they were training their cashier. Overall, this place is small but mighty. I live about an hour away but would gladly make the drive because this place has a unique menu, what they do they do well enough and I think I heard they have a rewards system (I may be wrong) and I want to order loads more. read more

Loooved this spot! Found myself in Fullerton for the day and couldn't resist stopping at this cute and fun vegan restaurant! I ordered the asada fries and the Cali dreamin burger and wow!! So so delicious!! The burger was bursting with flavor and the fries were cooked just right with all of the most flavorful ingredients on top. I also ordered a small caesar salad, because who can resist!? And that was just as good as everything else! Even my fiancé loved his Wild West burger! They even have horchata for the pup to sip on! Vegan paradise near Disneyland! We are visiting from out of state so we had a big order and everything came out hot and delicious! My faves were the loaded nachos and the mexigogi fries. The mexigogi is a nice sweet and spicy flavor that I know I will be dreaming about later. The Caesar salad is the underdog. Tasty, crunchy, fresh. The service was friendly and quick. The ambiance inside was nice and chill. A must visit when in the parks area! read more

Hi all of our proteins including: asada, jackfruit carnitas al pastor and Mexgogi are gluten free. Signature fries can be made gf by request and SOME burgers can be gluten free if you do protein style (bun less) we may get gf buns in the future.
