This is my go to place for a late night snack. Fast and friendly service every time I come to this restaurant. I did notice something on my receipt this time, normally I order delivery I do not look. I do not know if this is new or temporary, but when you order online for a pick-up you get a discount. That was a cool deal! read more

Really nice staff and the pizza is great. Ordered from here when I had guests who have celiac over and the gluten free pizza is so good you can't even tell it's gluten free! That alone warrants a 5 star review. Their non pizza entrees don't deliver as well, they still good but I've eaten here and was pleasantly surprised how much better the entrees were fresh. read more

Let's say you're a little hammered and you only want one slice of pizza instead of the whole pie. Let's say you only have $5 in your wallet. Then congratulations, you can get a perfectly serviceable slice (thin crust or "stuffed") from Chicago's and it will make you feel like a real person again. read more

Requirements: Parking Deep Dish Pizza No Wait Friday night No throngs of Cubs/Sox fans Booze North Side And who answered the call? Chicago's Pizza on Montrose. Thank GOD. My dad wanted to experience "deep dish Chicago pizza." I said OK, I'll see what I can do, and then scrambled to find a place that wouldn't quote us a 2 hour wait time, etc. Apple doesn't fall far from the tree here, folks...pops ain't waitin' anywhere, no matter what kinda pizza they got. Service was decent, we sat outside to enjoy the weather (though be forewarned that they use the alley for delivery drivers, so it's anything BUT quiet), and enjoyed the pizza. And booze. My dad said "this was worth the 300 mile drive." And then, I sighed some relief, threw back a few more beers and called it a success. Amen. read more

Chicago's delivered pizza to me at the new house, right before I passed out from hunger/exhaustion. Yay for good timing! The pizza was pretty delicious, though for a supposed "thin crust", it was actually rather thick, more like a pan pizza crust - thin-crust-o-philes, take note. We had a medium Chef's Special with spicy Italian sausage, pepperoni, and mushroom. It was even better cold, eaten out of the fridge, the next morning. I also really enjoyed the buffalo chicken tenders with chunky blue cheese sauce. I was so hungry, I might have swallowed them whole. Buffalo sauce + blue cheese. Where can you go wrong? Oh, they make you pay for the blue cheese (75c for 2 pretty large dipping cups) which is a little bit odd. Odd, but not bad. The bad? The garlic bread. It was dry and not very garlicky. Still, I didn't die from hunger (yay!) and they even deliver either a complimentary 1/2L Diet Coke or 6-pack of DC cans with certain amounts in your order. There is never anything wrong with free Diet Coke. Ever. read more

Ever since discovering that I'm gluten intolerant, there are certain foods I really really miss! While I rarely ate deep dish pizza when I easily could, now that I can't of course I want some. This place did such an amazing job with their gluten-free crust that a blind taste test couldn't have possibly told the difference! read more

So many drunk late nights ordering from Chicago's...when its open til 5am on the weekend it hits the spot like no other. I can probably see myself at least 15 pounds lighter without Chicago's Pizza. I could go crazy and order a salad, but at 2 or 3am salad is the furthest thing from my mind. Their thin crust pizza is excellent. Their deep dish is on par with most. The only strike against them is the pasta. Go to a nice fancy restaurant for that, hell, even the Olive Garden. Chicago's Pizza specialty is late night orders. Plain and simple. The chicken fingers and cheese sticks I constantly ordered have been dubbed 'my special' by many of my friends. I can hear myself getting fatter... Chicago's Pizza and Pasta, thank you for all the late nights you have come to my home, delivered me pure satisfaction in a brown bag, and sent me to bed fat and happy. read more

On my quest to find a pizza place that delivers crispy cracker crust pizza to my hood, I decided to give Chicago's Pizza a whirl. The verdict? Eh, s'ok. I ordered an extra thin crust with pepperoni & mushroom. I figured ordering "extra thin" crust would ensure that cracker like crust I'm longing for. I was wrong. I imagine if you just ordered a regular ole thin crust you'd get something along the lines of a pan pizza. The pepperoni was plentiful but I could have used some more 'shrooms...and sauce. I also ordered up some buffalo chicken tenders for good measure. They were good BUT, they were not spicy at all. I barely tasted the buffalo seasoning....sort of disappointing. Not the best pizza, but not the worst. I think CPR is a bit spendy for what you get. Lesson learned. My quest for thin crust pizza in my hood continues.... read more

Chicago's pizza is definitely a staple - anywhere you are in the city, any time of day (pretty much), you can count on good food. Chicago's is what you order when you come home from the bar totally shitfaced and need something to keep you from puking in the morning. Then, it's there in the morning for breakfast. Its thick crust and hearty cheese will quell your hunger and end the debate as to whether or not you're going to hurl. Chicago's serves huge portions on everything, which is why I never feel like I'm paying too much. The spinach salad with hot bacon dressing is the absolute best side to their pizza. I love the wings as an appetizer. Their menu has something for everyone. Chicago's should be programmed into every drinker's phone - it's just the best place to order from - because, even though their pizza is good, sometimes not everyone likes pizza. I would give it 5 stars if the delivery people wore jetpacks. Thanks. read more

Like sex, any pizza is better than no pizza. Just about any pizza will do at 2am when you've been out drinking. Lucky for us, this was good pizza. No walk of shame as we clutched our slices and headed for home. Yummy thick, thin and stuffed slices with different toppings and stuffings. We took a stuffed spinach pie, a thin slice of cheese and a stuffed slice of pepperoni. Everyone was happy, everyone was full, the wallet wasn't emptied. I'd like to come back and try it piping hot. read more

Buy the slice ownage. You can get a huge slice of thin crust Pepperoni OR Sausage for only $3.25, and that includes the tax. It's a great deal and the pizza is always hot & fresh; they must do a fair amount of business by-the-slice at lunch. read more

It was a 20 minute wait for deep dish, so we went for regular. The crust was pretty unexciting -- could have been saltier -- but the slice had an awesome proportion of cheese-to-tomato. Hit the spot! read more

As far as the pizza goes their pizza used to be my favorite. Add in their customer service and thanks to the Monday manager I don't think I'll be eating there again. In November of last year I had a friend in town who wanted Chicago style pizza for lunch. I used Chicago's online ordering and ordered a Pepperoni with half Broccoli. Fast forward to when the pizza finally arrived (30 minutes after the quoted time) and we recieved a Pepperoni and Bacon Pizza. I don't eat bacon. My friend is starving, so he digs in and I call the place. The manager offers me $10 off my next order which would be great except we don't order pizza unless friends are in town so she then offers to refund $10. Great. *crickets chirp* I hear nothing from them and there's no refund on my credit card. I had to call several times over a period of several weeks. When I called and spoke to the female manager and mentioned that they've already lost business because people have come into town and I've sent them to competing establishments she gets snippy and says, "Well you've ONLY ordered twice." Yes. I've only ordered twice ON MY PHONE. My husband has a phone number. My family members order from THEIR phone numbers. And why would that matter. You messed up. You promised something. You're not delivering. It took three months of hounding this place to get my refund. I haven't been back since. And I won't be. read more

I live right up the street from this place and we always order delivery or take out. The food is always delicious but we never had a dine-in experience. After helping my boyfriend move into his new apartment, we were starving for some Italian food so we decided to head over to Chicago's since it was close and within budget. The dining experience is pretty darn nice for the price! Bread and oil for free at the beginning of your meal, the waitress was really efficient and friendly. Our food came out piping hot and correct and it was really tasty. You get a lot more menu options when dining in as well. I had the chicken and blue cheese sauce with gorgonzola cheese. Yumm.. He had some sort of mostacioli noodle with a vodka sauce and a cheese-stuffed chicken. I liked his better and I kept eating it. (Brought it to work today for leftovers too!) The dining room has some great paintings obviously done specifically for the restaurant. And the place is decorated nicely with stained glass and curved in-wall wine shelves. I think we'll dine-in more often! read more

The last time I ordered food from here, they messed up the order, but we lived with it. Decided to get pizza from here tonight. Tried to order online but the website would not allow me to pay for my order. So I called in my order around 8:15 pm or so. Called to find out what the hold up was and the person that answered claimed he didn't have an order for me when I gave him the number. I mentioned that he was able to pull my address up when I first called in. Put me on hold and came back to say that the manager said the food was on it's way. Still waiting for food to show up. I like the food here but the delivery is awful. Called to cancel the order and now they say there was no order placed and I must have called the wrong number. Wrong! Won't be ordering from here again....menu is in the recycle bin. read more

Had a slice of stuffed pepperoni. It was hot and fresh. A little too much sauce for my taste but a good slice of pizza overall. Two lovely and very pleasant young ladies provided excellent service with a smile. read more

Chicago's Pizza - Stuffed pepperoni - Pizza Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I'm pretty sure it has been about 5 yrs since having Chicago's Pizza. I've only gone to the one off Sheffield and remember it being good for a late night snack I picked up a few slices for lunch the other day at this location and it is was fairly pedestrian but as many have ascribed pizza, present company included, it is basically akin to sex in that even when average it still does the job. And that's where we stand w. Chicago's Pizza, it does the job, in a sorta utilitarian (or military style to cont the sexual metaphor) and straight forward way. read more

Whenever I say "I'd never_____," you can count on me doing ______ sometime in the very near future, 'cause tonight I waited in line for an hour to partake in CP&P's "Customer Appreciation Night." An assortment of salads, pastas, pizzas, thin-crust and deep-dish, dessert and sodas, and all complimentary. And I who claim to almost never wait in lines. Obviously, there are exceptions to every rule. And free food is often a magical catalyst for change. What a great way to thank your customers, and to foster loyalty. The staff treated everyone as if they were paying, most (but not all) of the patrons behaved themselves, and the atmoshpere was like a big late summer evening party, even when a little rain fell. The tables inside and outside were full, and they kept the food coming on the buffet set up inside. Thanks, CP for your kindness and hospi-tal-i-tee! read more

16 years in customer service and I have never declined a coupon that was expired by one day. It sounds absurd. How could I expect return business after declining such a small request. Needless to say, this happened at Chicagos. Every company has their policies, but I believe we each hold the key to make someone's day. I drove here religiously every Friday from Gurnee for years. But after moving back to the city for the last 7 years the service has been sub par. And that's what will keep businesses going. Sorry. No longer a customer. Food wasn't the best I've ever had anyhow, but definitely got a craving for it once in a while. read more

ZERO STARS FOR STUPIDITY! Saturday evening, I called Chicago's on Montrose (As I have in the past) for a delivery order: ME: Yes, I need a medium thin crust Pineapple & Canadian Bacon for delivery Dumb Chicago's phone order taker: What is your phone number? ME: I give her my phone number & address Dumb Chicago's phone order taker: What waaaassss that agaaain? ME: Once again, I gave her my address, as I SLOWLY pronunciated it clearly so her fried brain could comprehend. Dumb Chicago's phone order taker: Ok, it was .... , ........., Avenue? ME: No, I repeat it one last time.... Dumb Chicago's phone order taker: {She finally got my address right} Ok, your total is $17.80. Oh, but wait, we do not deliver to that street {Confused sound in her voice} ME: Well, take a looksie at your computer. Actually, I have ordered delivery on several occasions----You are very close to my condo. Dumb Chicago's phone order taker: {Pause...deep exhale, while she mumbles to a co-worker} No, we really do nooooot deliver to that addressss. ME: Hmmm, so I guess in my drunken stupor, I called Pete's and their delivery drivers always pose as a Chicago's delivery drivers just to "Fuck with me?" I hung up----I have zero tolerance for stupidity! I called Pete's. Pete's actually had my address, phone #, and an employee that could take orders effectively. read more

After a late night drinking there always seems to be an empty box of Chicago's Pizza in the living room, crust everywhere, and an empty ranch bottle. This place is conveniently close to my place and open late. Order a whole pie or grab a slice on the walk back for $3.05 out the door. I do like the deep dish style but the thin crust is where its at. For the taste and price. The pizza has been very consistent and I have no complaints. Wings are pretty tasty as well (free order with coupon). Still need to try the pasta and subs but judging by the pizza quality it should follow suit. On a side note, if you live in the area, the Montrose location will only fill orders till 3am so the next closest is Iriving Park if you're ordering into the wee hours of the night. read more

Really shady online ordering system. Ordered an item that was supposed to be a combo-no option for my side item so I wrote it in the comments along with a request for extra sauce. They charged me $2 for extra sauce but didn't give me my side and then when I called to complain was informed I didn't get one. Here's the thing. You charge me for one thing I write in the comments but not another thing I write. Your burger gave me no option other than a combo (first attempt at ordering) and then your sandwich had only the single option and yet the menu clearly stated combo. Why wouldn't you call to clarify since clearly your system was messing up? Ended up with a $10 sandwich. Called to complain and was told I selected the single sandwich and then charged for only one thing I entered into the comments. Gave up. Ate a sandwich that was good but not worth $10. Given the appalling online system and customer service I won't order again and will advise everyone else against it. read more

This place has saved my ass on numerous occasions, the most recent being last night. Getting home relatively late and still hungry, the BF and I were at a loss for what to eat. Our kitchen was seriously empty, but at 11::00pm everything was closed. Our tried and true Qdoba Mexican Grill was closed (new hours perhaps? tear!) and the local burrito stand wasn't sounding super appealing either. Then it hit us that Chicago's Pizza would rescue us once again, as it has on many a late night. Calling from the car, the service was amazing. Often when I am ordering over the phone I feel like I'm shouting my order. The chorus of "what? what?" coming from the other end of the line is either thanks to my crappy cell phone service or some lack of verbal clarity when I'm hungry as hell. Either way, Chicago's understands and takes care of me. Ordering a deep dish, Chicago's was prompt and courteous. A simple cheese is my favorite, and the sauce is absolutely incredible. For some reason I've had bad luck with pizza sauce consistently tasting like the stuff from a Chef Boyardee meal kit, not the case here at all. I have also found their salads and grilled chicken thin crust pizza to be out of this world. I would have to agree with others on here who say the only drawback is the cost (hence the four and not five star rating), as one deep dish pie can end up costing close to thirty bucks. However, any deep dish pizza in the city is going end up costing about the same, and Chicago's offers annoyance free dining unlike Giordano's downtown, where one can wait for up to an hour only to find themselves rubbing elbows with fanny-pack laced tourists in from Indiana for a whirlwind trip down Michigan Avenue. Really, who needs that? read more

I have been ordering from here about once a month for the past few years or more. Food was always good and only had one other issue with delivery where an item was forgotten. Even though then they acted like I was trying to rip them off of a liter of pop (????) in the end they delivered it and I continued to order from here. Then last week I ordered a hot sandwich wrap with fries to be delivered at lunchtime all of which was cold upon arrival. When I called to complain the guy who answered kept saying the driver "just left" and it shouldn't be cold like I was lying about it which was pretty insulting. He kept offering to send a new order but I asked for a refund instead since I didn't want to wait another hour to eat lunch and I could just heat the food up at home. Again they were acting like I was trying to get a freebie but I am sure they have a record of my orders and could see that I have never asked for a refund in the past 3 YEARS+ of ordering with them! Well I guess that was to much to ask because the pending charge went through and no refund was given. I am tired of the poor customer service when THEY screw up and being treated like a thief when all I have been is a loyal customer (even when they raised their prices). It seems a $15 dollar order is more important to them than anymore future business. Goodbye Chicago's Pizza it was good while it lasted! read more

Cute neighborhood pizza place. One of the few non-chains that's clean, efficient and serves darn good pizza. I have reservations about the yellow dough, though...not my favorite. It can be uneven and breaks apart if it's slightly overcooked. Being a family place, the prices are a few bucks less than what you'd pay at Lou Malnati's or Giordanos. Forget the desserts, even though they're good here, and head over to the always-crowded Margi's Candies a block to the east. read more

So hi. What's up Chicago! So, it's Sunday. Many, many, many moons ago, there was this tradition for my stomach. Since the dorms did not serve dinner on Sunday, I used to opt for pizza. Good 'ol pizza, am I right? Am I boring you? My apologies. Ah yes, the good "ol days when a beer was the same price as a bunch of gum. Sigh. Fast forward a few* years, and my stomach memory is demanding pizza, once again. Ok, ok, I'll get to the review. So, I picked up some slices for myself and my home fries. The stuffed spinach was not crazy fresh, but! I requested extra pizza sauce to freshen that pizza up. I dare say, readers of this review, it was magnificent. Their sauce is definitely better than most, if you're still reading . So, for a crazy reasonable price I had stuffed pizza fit for a district manager or even someone loftier. Comfort food, my good humans. You'll like it , I'm pretty sure. read more

This is more than just a run of the mill pizza place...they have a lot of pasta dishes and sandwiches...I think it would be hard to come here and not find something to eat. Also, they have a lot of specialty pizzas, if you get into Mexican pizza and such. Several varieties looked interesting. The meal started with complimentary warm tomato bread with oil to dip - yum. I had the lasagna, which was pretty darn good. It came with a salad or cup of soup - I got the minestrone, which, while not as hearty as I prefer, had a good flavor to it. They have a cute deal for wee folk...make-your-own pizza. They bring the kids an individual Mickey Mouse shaped pizza dough with sauce on it, and they can add their own combination of cheese, pepperoni, and olives. How-ever, speaking from personal experience...I think this is a good idea only if every kid at the table orders it. If not, chaos will ensue. As in, one kid gets to make his pizza while the kid who decided he wanted chicken fingers looks on, and invariably feels robbed of the delightful experience he declined 10 minutes ago. Tears and olives will fly. My tubes tied themselves. read more

The deep dish is pretty decent here, just stay away from the thin crust. It's pretty weak. Just like the commercials say, this place delivers really late. And just like in one of the commercials, I awoke this morning to find a pizza in the kitchen with no memory of ordering, eating, or paying for said pizza. Special props go out to these guys for being able to forgive certain "hijinks", such as someone ordering a pizza and then being completely comatose when the delivery guy gets there at 4:30 in the morning. Terrible at some foods, excellent in others. Delivery has always been 40 minutes or less, via GrubHub, with special instructions followed very specifically. DO NOT GET: -anything with meatballs. I love this place. I cannot end a night of drinking without ordering delivery at 4:30 in the morning. Normally I like pizza toppings, but for Chicago's, you just have to order the large thin crust cheese. Yum! Late-night cheap deep dish pizza = perfection. We always walk over so I can't speak for delivery, but it's open till 3 on the weekends and is always a really quick pickup. It's now my #2 pizza spot in Chicago, second only to Giordano's. Make it your late night pit stop too! read more

I ordered delivery, due to the fact that it was during a Cubs playoff game and Lou Malnati's and Giordano's would not deliver to Wrigleyville due to the traffic so I decided to check this place out. I got a cheese deep dish pizza and Garlic bread sticks. The pizza reminded me a lot of Giordano's, I was actually surprised it was very good I will probably order this pizza again. As for the bread sticks. The order was $5 and came with 3 bread sticks that when i took them out they were black. They were so burnt and hard I cant believe someone would actually serve something like that. We ended up throwing them away. Pizza was good, breadsticks were uneatable. read more

My husband isn't a fan of a super deep dish, I don't like a cracker thin crust. We both found a happy medium in this this crust. Overall, we find it to have a tasty sum of all parts equalling a very yummy pizza. What's great is you can stop in to just get a slice if you're the only hungry one. Question: How do you decide whose pizza to order, when you are all current or former residents of Indianapolis, there are less than 10 minutes remaining in the basketball game, and Butler University (alma mater of two people in the room) is fighting to get into the final four? Answer: You think of the place where the slices have been good; that's not too far away; and, coincidentally, has provided the $5.00 off coupon that's been sitting under the TV guide. Yes, it was my idea to call Chicago's Pizza and Pasta on Montrose. Except, for the first time ever, I would be getting a whole pizza or two, and not just a slice to satisfy a crazing for pepperoni. So, during one of the frequent, loooooong commercial breaks, we ordered a Meditteranean Pizza (sundried tomatoes, capers, olive oil, basil, mozzarella and goat cheese) for those who've been away from the Hoosier State for a couple of years, and a Chicago Supreme (pepperoni, green pepper, mushroom, onion) for those who still live near the Castleton Mall. The good: delivery was promised in 45 minutes, and came in just about that exact time (game was in overtime); pizzas were piping hot. The not-so-good; they were mediocre. I, in particular, like goat cheese, and was planning to put my face into the Meditteranean Pizza and inhale. Well, that lasted about 3 bites. It tasted of cheese only, and the combination really didn't taste good. Something just wasn't right. I realize there were two different cheeses on this pizza, but boy oh boy, it just wasn't very good. None of us cared for it. Big disappointment! The Chicago Supreme wasn't great, either. While I love cheese as much as anyone, and probably more than most, it was if someone just dumped a bucket of cheese on top. You couldn't taste anything but cheese. I peeled off a layer of dairy to see if there really was pepperoni, green pepper, mushroom, and onion there, and I did see some, but you could barely taste it. I think i could have made the same pizza if I'd rolled out some Pillsbury Doughboy product and poured on a 2-pound package of Kraft shredded cheese. I give 3 stars because delivery was absolutely right. But the product itself was a big disappointment. Given how many zillions of pizza places there are on Chicago's north side, I don't think I'd order a whole pizza from these folks again. read more
