    Takoyaki
    Lan N.

We stoped by here for lunch after running errands in the area. We came in like an hour after they opened so it wasn't super busy. The decor is really nice and cozy. The hallway to the bathroom is really dark though haha. My husband and I prefer the light broth after having the thicker ones too many times. We like the spicy chicken ramen. I like that the spice comes in a dollop paste, so you can adjust how spicy you want. The chicken itself is plain bcos it's just chicken pieces - white meat. I also asked for a side of vegetables, it's $5. Seems pretty pricey for a small bowl of veggies. The broth is nice and light, pack full of flavors, though it's a bit on the oiler side. We also got the takoyaki. It's pretty decent. I had no complaints about it. Our infant was fussy so we didn't get a chance to try the sushi and stuff, maybe next time.

Chicken ramen was mediocre. The noodles were too firm wasn't cooked properly; the broth was oily. The kitchen staffs are clueless about what is in their kitchen I ordered the chicken kaarage curry then they told me they're out of white rice and asked me if fried rice will be okay I said sure later I overheard they also out of fried rice I was furious and canceled my order. This location is terrible if you want quality food go to the des Plaines location

Helpful service, casual, modern vibes and delicious flavors. A new favorite for sushi and ramen. The menu allows for you to get a description of the difference flavors of ramen which was very much appreciated.

ATTENTION STC area! Don't sleep on this place. I heard they opened 2 months ago and was immediately excited to dive over for some good ramen, which is something we seriously lack in our area. I've now been twice (1st for ramen and 2nd for sushi, after realizing they have the best sushi around) and both times have blown me away. Authenticity and service are killer. The chef owner is out of his league and is bringing legitimate ramen and sushi to our backyard. Ramen: their broths and toppings are fresh and exquisite. Their noods are SunNoodles. If you know anything about ramen noods, they are the best fresh ramen noodles in the business. I can't wait for winter to hit so I can slurp more, in season. Sushi: Holy crap. During my first visit, I struck up conversation with the chef and he crafted me a couple bites of sushi to enjoy. It immediately shook me. This is insane and authentic sushi and i had to go back (literally a week later). I used to think the best sushi (take that lightly) was in Batavia. This is unequivocally false. This place has the best of the best. He was cutting fresh fish to order. It was fantastic All in all, don't walk but run to this place. It's a hidden gem in the highest regard.

Food was great fresh. Tuna and scallop was already seasoned. Curry chicken was tasty.

We went for Happy Hour and were seated at the bar because all of the tables were apparently reserved. We were greeted by Adam who was the only server in the bar. For Happy Hour they have a few drink specials and all Small Plates are half off. We asked about GF options and he was not too helpful but we made it work. My wife started with a Ginger Pina Martini with grilled pineapple infused vodka. She loved it ,I thought it was too sour. I tried their Toshi Old Fashion with Iwai 45 which is a Japanese blended whiskey. Very good. For our small plates we had Spicey Tuna Crispy Rice,Chicken Lettuce Wraps,BBQ Lollipops and a Philadelphia Roll. Hands down our favorite were the BBQ lollipops..sliced New York strip wrapped around lemongrass with a delicious sauce. On Tuesdays they offer half price rolls which makes us want to go back as some of their signature rolls sounded amazing. Plenty of parking is available and reservations are suggested..even for Happy Hour.

The duck bao buns came two per order and had a sauce to melt the flavor of the duck in your mouth. The shishido peppers came with a sauce that was creamy and complimentary. They have sushi boats that come with four rolls, but I opted to eat three. All of our selection of rolls was pretty and filling. Some ordered hot plates and the portions were grand and they were delicious. We went for a birthday and ordered two desserts. The ube cheesecake didn't have the blueberries on there, as the photos suggested it would, but still tasted great. The chocolate peanut butter cake was also good, but wasn't considered a favorite. Our server Ayden was helpful and got our food out quickly. His service was pretty good and he was friendly. This was lively for a night that was -10 Fahrenheit! It was so busy, so that tells you it's a great restaurant, and I agree.

It took about half an hour to get our food. We enjoyed watching Deal or No Deal on the TV while we waited lol. The guys working were really friendly, brought our food to us and even asked us how we liked the food. I would probably only order takeout from here in the future because they had those orders ready on time. I ordered the 6 piece boneless wing combo, which comes with fries and (possibly?) a drink. I did not realize that I could only choose one or the other for the combo: a drink or side of sauce. While ordering on the kiosk, I selected cheese sauce and it replaced my drink because they were under the same category of options, which I didn't even notice. Although I felt like it was my fault for not double-checking, I still don't think a tiny container of sauce is a fair drink substitute... oh well. Another thing to note is that online when placing an order/viewing the menu, it says the combo comes with a 20oz bottle of soda even though they only had 12oz cans in stock. I think these discrepancies could easily be fixed, and might prevent some confusion/disappointment among future customers. I appreciate that they gave me two extra wings because the boneless are somewhat tiny. For my sauce on the wings, I chose to try the Buldak-Gochujang and it was a little sweet with a hint of spice. The plain fries were just okay. They offer a bunch of different topping options for the fries, which I might be interested in trying next time.

The tables were also a bit sticky, which didn't make the best first impression. That said, the food was really good. Everything tasted very fresh, and the wings were especially solid--not overly breaded and cooked really well. They also have a great variety of sauces with plenty of spicy options and lots of flavor choices. If you're going strictly for the food, the wings definitely deliver.

I've had this sandwich at other places that were superior but it was decent. The sushi rolls were a generous size and more wasabi was brought out when asked. The poke bowl salad looked fresh. The stand out item was the tuna tower which I would order if we came back. There is a parking lot adjacent to the restaurant and inside the restrooms are unisex, clean and high tech.
