A few months ago, she chopped 3 inches off with out telling me & in the process effed up my hair. 3 f******* inches and f***** it up. So pissed. Became completely done with that crap. She tells me my ends were damaged badly. No, I got my end assessed by another stylist prior to my lying former hairdresser chopping them off. They were not that bad. Lady just wanted to chop. Bye Felicia... I ask a friend of mine about any hairdressers that she knows. She gives me a name & a salon. I'm leery, but I'm always leery when going to new stylists. I have to build trust with them. I've had some sheisty hair experiences from back in the day that have put me on PAUSE & made me skeptical as hell. Regina saves the day, showing me what damage my old hairdresser has really done to my hair. I should of been with Regina from Day 1. Mad I didn't find her sooner, but happy to have her now. She's a true professional. My hair was LAID when she completed it. Her shop is cute & clean. Sold. She's affordable & super convenient for me to go to. Converted.

Mecka Katora Shasha Shakeilla have all done my hair at one point in time and I would definitely go back to anybody in the shop if Regina wasn't available. Mind you, I couldn't cancel on StyleSeat because she had already charged my card in advance for a service I didn't book. Then, to top it off, she charged me again--half the cost--for that same incorrect service.

To ensure those who observe my review understand that it is written with transparency and accuracy,…read moreI've edited it to include screenshots of only a few correspondences between myself and the business owner, posting the entire dialogue with no edits as she'll claim. For reference, she ignored my DM and was very nasty towards me in social media comments and so I contacted her through documented business channels - though she's now blocked. As a consumer, I cannot be held liable for defamation or misinformation for accurately conveying and portraying my experience as she threatened in a former review - and for that reason, I am not worried. Regarding my experience, this beautician is distrustful, unprofessional, and misinformed. In May 2025, I completed appointment intake forms and requested to not be filmed or photographed during my June 2025 appointment. Despite this, I believed I was filmed, photographed and posted to Tami's social media. I brought this to her attention through VARIOUS communication channels and kindly requested removal - providing proof of the form I completed that did not authorize being filmed or photographed. Despite this, I was met with hostility, poor tone, poor customer service, told I did provide permission, was said to be harassing her and was eventually dismissed. I found her response to my concerns to be very unprofessional and deemed her an untrustworthy individual. Not to mention, I came to my appointment with grease in my hair, where she suggested I utilize harsh Dial and/or Dawn soap to wash my hair because my hair wasn't sudsing - as opposed to a clarifying shampoo. I am not a duck in an oil spill... there's no reason to utilize dial and/or dawn soap in place of clarifying shampoo. For this reason, she's unknowledgeable and misinformed. And finally, she was very rough with my hair and played very loud music with profanity. The environment made me uncomfortable. Yet, I was still polite and tipped for service rendered. In all, I want a beautician that respects their clients wishes, is informative and provides a calming environment and she does not meet these standards. I would never, ever recommend her or her services to anyone.

The pictures show my hair texture (4c) before Johanny, and my first wash (about three weeks after) being serviced by them . Also, there's a video that shows my call-log with the owner (I had a couple questions prior to visiting) to serve as proof I went to them since they have a habit of claiming that everyone who leaves a 'bad' review were never serviced by them or is an ex-employee. Beware if you have afro-textured hair and decide to come here. You might have to do a big chop like me! I hope in the future they're more inclusive for all hair types.

Jose, the gentleman who answered the phone was very professional and courteous when we spoke. He gave me exact pricing and let me know in advance that it would cost more if my hair was extra long. We agreed on a time I would arrive at the salon and the next day when I did, I was greeted by a lovely woman, who pronounced my name and went to working on my hair right away. I was a bit concerned because I was wondering if she'd be able to handle my hair in all its thickness and kinky coiliness and she did, with the quickness. I was very surprised by how she was able to wash, condition, roller set, and blow dry my hair so fast. When it was time for the trim, I was confident that she'd finish the job right because she made sure to tell me what my hair was looking like and what needed to be done before proceeding. She even had Jose explain it to me more thoroughly in English. One of the things I appreciated about the salon besides the excellent customer service, the actual great service, and the cost was that the place felt comfortable. I was greeted and I felt welcomed and warm while at the shop. It felt like the old school shops where everyone says hello and is pleasant. I highly recommend this place, as they offer great options and perks that come with getting your hair done. I walked out looking like "who's that girl" and was grinning from ear to ear. Thank you to the salon.
