This places was good thought it just had boba teas but their chicken is off the charts! Prices were good and everything was delicious! You can choose if you want your food to kick or not, was quick and service was real friendly. It's a small place so we ended up taking food to go. They are in a shopping area so plenty of room to park. Yeah this place was killer! read more

We waited 30 mins for 2 sandwich's and some boba. On top of that, we asked for pickles and coleslaw on the side instead of in the sandwich and instead of putting on the side, they say they can't put it on the side and instead gestured us to buy the side of pickles and coleslaw what a joke... P.S. how cheap can you be read more

Food was delicious love the drinks the only thing they need to put more attention is cleaning the eating area other than that everything was good read more

CHI TEA - Hot Chicken, Burgers, & Wings - Watermelon tea, mango tea and a lemonade - Bubble Tea Near Me - Lombard, Illinois

Plan ahead and expect a wait. Went at 8:30 on a Saturday, got my food by 10:45pm. They ran out of fries and tapioca. Overall pleasant experience, the Big Bird is a must have, fair proportion of meat for the price paid. Chicken was juicy and had the right amount of crisp. The ChiSauce definitely adds a kick of spice. Not a fan of coleslaw but tasted good in the burger. Bubble tea is average; comparable to most places. I recommend taro coconut, all time fave. Absolutely adored the interior, super trendy and aesthetic. read more

The first time I came, I got the red bean over ice and it was good. I came here another time and got red bean blended, which was ok. It was too icy, but I figured maybe that's how it was. I decided to come back for the over ice today because it was that good the first time. Unfortunately, my drink was watered down and had no red bean taste. It was like drinking water. Even my boyfriend said it was super bad. Won't be coming here with the inconsistencies of quality. It could be that they were super busy, but I just wasted my money and had to toss it out. Sad this happened because I thought this was a good place in the suburbs, but I will be sticking to the milk tea places in the city. Giving 1 star for the great first drink, but undrinkable beverage this time. read more

Chi Tea is one of the most popular halal restaurants in the Greater Chicago Area. Since it's located in Lombard, cities with a large Muslim population like Chicago and Schaumburg commute to Chi Tea to experience what the eatery has to offer. The appealing logo exemplifies Chicago and the combination of bubble tea and burgers is unique and appetizing. However, what stood out most is what I saw in the bathroom. I saw a beautiful, elegant, red LOTA as I felt my bowels rumbling as I tumbled to the toilet. I didn't have to fear the feeling of impurity as I knew the inner depths of my cheeks were going to be spotless as soon as I exited the bathroom. Not only is the restaurant cognizant about having a completely Zabiha Halal menu, it's aware that the majority of its consumers are accustomed to cleaning themselves with the LOTA. Moreover, they had toilet paper to account for crusty consumers. read more

I've be. Here so many times, and this restaurant is so good. Last week, me and my whole family went their on a Saturday night. Their drinks are really good and their classic chicken sandwich is really good. The service is rapid and the workers are nice. Even though it's in a really small place, a well deserved 5. Their banana bread is also pretty good. I personally loved everything, and so as my family did too. This looks and the boxes are really neat. A high 5/5! read more

Okkkk so I didn't go for the tea. My bf and I read an article about hidden gems in Lombard and found out they have one of the best chicken sandwiches in the area. Chi Tea did not disappoint!! For it to only have two sandwiches on the menu it sure was great! The Big Bird chicken sandwich was a supple chicken breast with just the right about of spicy kick at the end. Ask for extra Chi sauce. I would recommend! read more

I ordered a Tiger Milk Tea and a Taro slushie on a Friday night through the website. It was convenient and drinks were ready right away. I really want to love this place because I LoVe boba teas and milk tea ... and it's in Lombard! However, I grew up drinking milk tea, hk milk tea, smoothies, and all sorts of boba drinks from Chicago Chinatown. I have tasted boba drinks in Cali and NY from Boba Guys to Vivi to Gong Cha. I ordered Kung Fu Tea a week ago in Rolling Meadows which was delicious. My point is.. I didn't not like or enjoyed the Tiger Milk Tea I ordered. My husband asked if I ordered Thai Iced Tea because it was bright orange. It tasted weird and not what I'm used to. I couldn't even finish half of it. The taro slushie tasted better but not as much Taro flavor as it should be. read more

I had higher expectations for Chi Tea. The good: The spice level of the chicken sandwich was great and the fries were fresh. The bad: The chicken was overdone and the boba was basically just sugar and fruit flavor. It tasted alright, but it was barely a boba tea experience and felt more like we were served cold, melted ice cream. I want to give this place another try, maybe it was an off day. read more

Worth the hype! The big bird is delicious and has a great kick. It is definitely spicy though, so I recommend getting it mild if you don't want the spice. I always get their mango bubble tea, and it is fantastic every time. Their cheeseburgers aren't advertised as much, but their burgers are really good and taste fresh/aren't the frozen premade patties. I've been with friends quite a few times since their opening and definitely recommend. read more

This is a sad review. Been here 4 times and noticed that the crust on the chicken is getting more thicker by each visit and chicken is just a small piece in there. I felt i was eating fried piece of crust. This is how restaurants decline if they start compromising with the quality of the food. Not good! read more

I was driving by here and saw the line so I figured this place must be good. The Big Bird sandwich was amazing. It was a huge sandwich and was very tender and flavorful. The sauce was a good addition. The burger was fresh smash burger with your choice of toppings. They have a full menu of flavor for they bubble tea and choice of tapioca or popping pearls. Only issue is they have long lines that are out the door. I will definitely be back here again. read more

It's really rare for me to enjoy bubble tea. I'm not a huge fan of them but I will drink occasionally. I happened to be in the area and saw a huge line for this place + I was told that it was the bolba spot in town. So, as any foodie would have done I decided to stop my car get down and try it out. When I got inside, the smells of a delicious fried chicken sandwich and the aromas of flavored teas smack your nostrils with delight. Unfortunately I had just eaten lunch and was way too full so I couldn't order the highly recommended Big Bird sandwich but I managed to force some space in my stomach enough for a drink. I ordered their Taro bubble tea and I was very, very pleased. Again, not a huge fan of bubble tea - or even taro - but I would drink this anytime I had the chance. Solid place. Solid workers. Solid drinks. read more

The boba taro is ok, the fries are alright and the chicken sandwich made me poop a lot. It made my stomach hurt when I was driving home real fast to go to the bathroom. I'm sorry for the 2 stars that I have to give you guys. read more

YES YES YES! I absolutely love their chicken sandwiches and can eat them everyday! The chicken is huge and crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. So so flavorful! Amazing how they have spice level options which is very great for people who like an extra spice. Their fries are great too but pretty thin and crispy. Overall obsessed with their sandwiches! And the best part is their food IS halal! read more

CHI TEA - Hot Chicken, Burgers, & Wings - Bubble Tea Near Me - Lombard, Illinois

We searched for a bubble tea place for a nice weekend afternoon and saw the raving reviews on Yelp for Chi Tea. I read some reviews that the line was quite long and it was worth it, but didn't really think after a few weeks, the lines would continue to be that long. We decided to stop by and try it. When we arrived, it was 3.00pm, which we realized was the opening time for the day when we got there. The line was ALREADY wrapped around to the Panda Express. We started standing in line and it was extremely slow moving. We stood in line for approximately 30 minutes before it moved at all. When we got closer to the front, we could see inside, which had a small sit down area, one person behind the counter, one person grabbing the order and texting out that it was ready, and another person manning the door. There were times that these people were just standing around and NOBODY was inside the restaurant placing an order. They would just wait and it was extremely frustrating, because there was no communication about why they were waiting or anybody else walking around getting orders from people outside, etc. We noticed other people getting frustrated too, but kept standing in line because we were close to the front and had been waiting for so long already (at this point, it was already an hour). Once we ordered, we exited the restaurant and waited outside again. Our drinks were ready within 10 minutes and we got a text that we could pick them up inside. We had ordered the mango bubble tea, mocha bubble tea, strawberry bubble tea and lychee bubble tea. All of the drinks were pretty good, with the lychee and strawberry being the best. The mango had really rich flavor, which was good, and mocha was tasty too. We didn't order burgers, since we are vegetarians, but overheard people in line talking about how good they were in general. We saw quite a few people ordering several items after waiting in line, which likely took longer for orders to get ready. Overall, I wouldn't say that our drinks were worth waiting 1.5 hours for, and would say that the restaurant needs to improve management to make the line move faster. Given the hit their restaurant had been, I would have hoped that they would have made some adjustments to account for the long wait times, but doesn't look like it unfortunately. I would return for the drinks and flavor, but if the line is still wrapped around the building, I'll probably leave. Give it some time and hopefully, their process will be more streamlined. read more

Got there first thing when it opened at 12 and there was no lineI have to say, i'm not one to get with the hype but this Big bird chicken sandwich was actually Really good! I loved the kick of heat it had to it, extremely crispy when eat fresh and has so much flavor! The bubble teas were a bit on the sweeter side but still great! read more

My weekly joint. I highly recommend just sitting in your car and eating the burger the minute you get it. The quality won't be the best once your home. So if you complain once you go home, that's on you. Both burgers are perfectly made always, and I always stick with the normal mango boba drink. read more

Heard so many good things via social media about Chi Tea Big Bird and the Classic (the cheeseburger). Impressed by their social distancing policy. We waited in line for 40 minutes driving from the Northshore area. We were throughly disappointed and saddened by the Big Bird. It comes with coleslaw, pickles and chi tea sauce. Maybe they were overwhelmed by the crowd but the chicken was overdone resulting in being tough not a bit juicy. It felt like I was wrestling with it in my mouth during the couple of bites I took of the sandwich. The seasoning of the flour based deep fried base was not existent and simply hot. However, the Chi Tea Classic burger was the saving grace for this place. It was really good fresh burger with cheese, grilled onions and jalapeños with chi tea sauce. That's why I gave it two stars. read more

Got the spicy bird sandwich and it was Sooo Good! Fries were really good too but as usual, I preferred way too many. The sandwich is quite big so I would recommend sharing if you have kids. The kids got a mix of bubble teas and they loved them. This place is Halal. read more

O M G - this place is off the hook! So so good. I love the bubble teas. I got a taro coconut blended tea with lychee jelly and mango coconut jelly without any added sugar. This is my third time ordering it this way and my 4th or 5th visit here. I've tried the teas, the Big Bird and the burger. All awesome and amazing. The prices are decent and the portions are wow!!! The only thing I would say using constructive criticism is that the fries could be seasoned better. They were kind of like an afterthought in comparison with the other items on the menu. Keep rocking it you guys! Mashallah you're doing a fabulous job! read more

So I have a thing for bubble tea but it's pretty hard to find in the Lombard area, until I discovered Chi Tea! I had the most delicious blended Milk Tea-requested non-dairy and light sugar and they made it perfectly! The girl who took my order was also very pleasant and answered my questions, as it was my first time checking this place out! this place may only be a few years old, but it is a a lombard classic! my friends and i from suburbs 25+ mins away make the drive over to get chi tea. the chicken sandwich is so good. SOMETIMES it can be a bit dry tho. the place is so cute visually too and the branding etc. just really add to the vibe. it's small ofc but yeah. overall a place i rlly enjoy read more

This place did not disappoint. We waited about 2.5 hours in line but it was worth the wait. The big bird chicken sandwich was delicious. I wouldn't call it authentic Nashville style hot chicken but it was flavorful, juicy, and seasoned well. The seasoned fries were a bit soggy and too salty for my liking but overall decent. I tried the Thai coconut bubble tea which was absolutely delicious and not too sweet. The staff was kind and customer service was incredible. Inside the place is gorgeous, will definitely be back once indoor dining resumes. read more

Great local business! Boba is soft and delicious. I've tried a handful of drinks: Taro coconut, lychee, chocolate peanut butter, honeydew etc all great! I came across this place online and decided to try them out. They moved Incredibly slow, then when I finally got to the register, they didn't have any of the options I wanted and I stood in line my entire lunch break for nothing. Also their spicy sandwich is chicken and the non spicy is beef I ended up leaving. Very bad first impression, I wont be coming back. read more

The spicy chicken sandwich was good, the popcorn chicken was underwhelming. The price was decent. The bubble tea was okay. The place is a little smaller, but people dine and go pretty quickly. read more

Unique cuisine. Full of flavor although heavy . Great service. Fairly priced. Boba tea was a hit.

Walked in with the family and first thing I notice is the dirty floors and tables. There wasn't even that many tables inside to begin with. The host greeted us and was polite but not proactive. He mentioned we could order through him or the kiosk. Kiosk ordering was easy but slightly confusing. The tv played a cheese burger with bacon but there wasn't a bacon option to add to burger. After I paid for my food the kiosk asked for a tip lol. I had to get up and wipe down my own table from the people before us, pick up my food from the counter and clean up after myself and you want a tip? Food was actually pretty good, had the chicken sandwich and it was big and juicy. The hamburger meat was way too small for the buns they used. The loaded fries were good but a little saltier than what I would like. The kids ordered boba tea and the amount of ice inside their drinks was disappointing. The owners could really improve the customers experience by changing a few things. First, mop the floor and have an employee wipe the tables after people eat. Add more seating. Remove the storage stuff you have by the bathrooms. Have the person taking my order put more effort in customer service, he looked depressed and miserable. Maybe give him a raise. Have the food I ordered brought to my table or remove the tip option. Play some music. No one wants to listen to the couple next to them arguing over in-laws and other nonsense. Mark the food!!!! A two letter abbreviation is not enough. Less ice in drinks and drinks should be bigger at that cost. China town has bigger and cheaper boba drinks and it's in Chicago. I would like to give this place a second chance. I want to support Muslim establishments but personally I cannot get over the lack of cleanliness. My rule is if the customers area is dirty, then the kitchen is 10X worse. I will monitor the stars to see if they increase. I'll be back once you reach 4 stars. read more

They're trying to do too much and they're doing nothing right. There is not enough choices and they're not willing to work with you to customize. Their attitude is "Shi Tea". Crazy customization is kind of the point of a real boba tea house. Skip this and go find an authentic boba tea shop. read more

Honestly I would give this a zero star if I could. The receptionist desk girl was rude and not polite. I only ordered one milk tea and had to wait for 25+ minutes. Everyone else got their order before mine and they ordered multiple drinks. I don't recommend this place for bubble tea lovers. It's water downed/powdered. The receptionist desk needs to work on her customer service and communication skills with her workers. Everything seemed unorganized with orders. Don't get me wrong I was excited to try this new place out. read more

Not review of food. Can't even get a hold of this place. Phone has automated messages that lead to a dead end.

This chicken is amazing. Just amazing. The tea was good too. We ordered ahead and sat outside until it was ready. Easy peasy. And yum.
