I have been getting my nails done by the same person for about 20 years in California so I was reluctant to try out a new place. I felt like I was cheating on my nail person. When I walked in I was greeted by the two ladies in the shop and was asked to wash my hands which didn't bother me in the least as I understood the purpose. The nail technician, Cindy, was fabulous. She asked me what I wanted on my nails. She kept asking to let me know if the file was burning my nail which was a nice touch because it can do that at times. Mid way through Cindy switched to using powder on the tips rather than nail polish because I was on my trip and she wanted them to last. That was super thoughtful on her part. The experience got off to an odd start when we were told to wash our hands before our pedicures. I've never been asked to do that before a pedicure, so it seemed unusual. From the moment we walked in, there was a strong odor that reminded us of a dirty diaper, and it made it difficult to relax. The walls also appeared to have years of built-up dirt and grime, giving the salon an unclean feel. As for the pedicure itself, I barely felt like I had one. My toenails were hardly clipped, my feet were barely scrubbed or exfoliated, and there was no relaxing massage. I even asked where the massage was because it seemed to be missing from the service. There were no hot towels, which I normally expect with a pedicure at this price. To make matters worse, my big toenails were left uneven. The only highlight was the cat-eye polish was a nice touch. Unfortunately, the $70 price tag I would expect more.

Do they work on commission?! my nail tech spoke English with such a thick accent that I only understood about every 10th word or so. Of course no one wears name tags so there's really little accountability in that regard. From the minute, I walked in I was eager to get out. Being seated near a crying baby did not add to my enjoyment, so I wasn't looking to expand my pedicure package, despite the many efforts from the nail tech. In the end, I got the cheapest one $50. We walked by a huge beverage bar, but there's no explanation of what's available and what it costs. I get handed a manicure pedicure booklet showing all the different services they offer and there is a drink menu there but again no prices included but nothing that says it's complementary either . So I asked my nail tech how much for a huckleberry Italian soda. She doesn't acknowledge she heard the question she just gets up and walks away! A few minutes later she returns with the drink. If the complementary beverage is supposed to be a token of hospitality, they need to work a little harder on attitude and communication. I get pedicures often and I think this is the only place I've ever gone that they did not use rubber toe spreaders before they start painting your nails. WTH!? She told me to sit for 20 minutes so I wouldn't mess up the nail polish. And didn't offer to help me put back on my sandals. And as far as the quality of the pedicure goes.. she didn't trim some of the longer nails and the Polish job was just mediocre. I call this One And Done!

He called me back a day later and said he was booked because another nail salon had closed and the Nailry took over their bookings. He then proceeded to recommend a couple other places. So new customers get preferential treatment to long time customers. Loyalty means nothing to them. Their customer service is non existent.
