Yeah...I didn't have a good experience. I suppose you get what you pay for. A 20$ reflexology session that includes head, neck, and back massages (like the other reflexology places in the area) is relatively cheap, however I still didn't have a good time. My girlfriend and I were lucky enough to have the couple's room, but another couple got there shortly after us and even though we got there first, one of the workers asked us if we would mind being split up, even though we were already getting settled in. Uhh.. Yeah we mind..
Anyways.. It seemed promising enough because it was pleasantly quiet and overall a very relaxing environment, but it didn't stay that way for very long. My girlfriend's tub of hot water was actually cold, but mine was the right temperature. The massage started off very nicely but about 10 mins in I started to get really ticked off. I suppose my massage therapist realized she forgot to cover my eyes so she left the room for a minute and when she came back, suddenly slapped a blindfold on my face with no warning, while my eyes were closed. After 5 more minutes of head and neck, she moved on to massaging my feet. It honestly just felt like she was just brushing my feet with one finger and she applied absolutely no pressure. As a matter of fact, it tickled more than anything. Then these two very loud women (in separate rooms) began speaking in Chinese. One on the phone, and the other to her massage therapist. The entire parlor could hear them talking and it was becoming a huge pain. It completely disrupted any sense of relaxation that we may have had. Someone finally asked the loudest one to keep it down, but she continued to talk on the phone for a few mins afterwards.
Finally, I was able to start relaxing again but at one point the therapists left the room again. Then without warning she pressed down on my inner thigh very sharply and I jumped. I swear, that women walks lighter and quieter than an assassin. When she moved on to my arms she used a very very generous amount of lotion and again, applied very little pressure.
Once I turned over so she could massage my back it started to feel a lot better. But she started to sigh as if she was tired and the massage got lighter and lighter. At one point, it just felt like she was just pinching my back.
Overall I was pretty unhappy with the whole place. I understand that these therapists work all day and have a constant line of clients, so they don't get very many breaks, so I still tipped them and appreciate what they do, but a bad massage is a bad massage. I expected a lot more based on all the reviews we read before we decided to come in, but in the end I wish We spent our money somewhere else. read more
