Great service - friendly and fresh food fast. I have eaten in multiple times for lunch. We have loved everything that we have tried. We've ordered the hibachi shrimp with rice and with noodles (large shrimp cooked to perfection), the general tso chicken (not spicy but made well and very tasty regardless), the hibachi chicken with noodles, the XL ninja chicken (it is defintely XL in size), the flavored green tea, and calpis. The only item we didn't really love was the miso soup, it is a little bland. The restaurant and restrooms are clean and bright. Definitely put this place on your "to try" list and you will become a regular. read more

First off, great comfort food. I ordered the calamari the 1st time then came back for hibachi chicken and ninja crispy chicken the 2nd time. Oh and how I enjoyed both visits and will definitely be back for maybe the grilled entrée this time. The service is above par, very nice and accommodating owner and her 2 sons (I guess), just makes me want to support them even more. Also, the waiting time is short. For the 2 entrees we ordered, it took them just 8 minutes which that time, we already finished our miso soup. My co-worker was looking for a new lunch spot and he found Chi Chop -- I decided to give it a try -- it's close to work and close to home! I ordered the steak hibachi with double vegetables - no rice -- There was NO extra charge for more veggies like some other places I have been to.. I walked in and was greeted by two young boys and their mom -- No school in VB today :) Once I ordered, it took about 10-15 minutes -- I got back to work and was ready to chow! You also get a bowl of miso soup -- It was really tasty! Actually better tasting than the larger hibachi steakhouses. The lunch portions are the perfect size. The steak was tender, juicy and perfectly cooked. The vegetables -- delicious!! I will definitely be going back there -- this time, I will try dinner!! I wanted to love this food so bad because I've read such great things about them . Unfortunately I had a terrible visit . I ordered the hibachi chicken with fried rice , my chicken was still raw on the inside and the pieces that were dont was very rubbery and not edible . The rice has a good flavor to it so I took the meat out and started to eat the rice and veggies just as I was getting to the bottom there was a long hair I found in my food . I was completely devastated . OMG! I absolutely love hibachi and wasn't sure what to expect. I was going to order from Uber eats but was skeptical to I decided to go order take out in person. Soo I ordered the chicken and steak hibachi- no rice bc I'm on Keto. It was simply ok, nothing to write home about. By the time I got back to work the juice leaked all throughout the bag. My coworker ordered the ninja chicken which was a HUGE piece of a flattened fried chicken cutlet. I did try a piece- don't tell my diet because I've been a good girl, but I have my ways. Lol! Niche food at its best. Made to order, hot and fresh and severed with a smile. We were obviously severed by one of the owners because she was excited for us to try her Taiwanese style cuisine. She had lots of information regarding each menu item and helped us condense our order into combos that helped to save us a few dollars. We ordered the steak combo, the giant chicken cutlet and the calamari combo. We also got a few of their tasty beverages a mango flavored something or other and a passion fruit flavored thingy. We let the owner choose the beverages and we were thankful that we did. In all my eating adventures this is only the second time eating Taiwanese fair... the second time at Chi Chop was a far better experience than our first especially since our orders were all made fresh and very tasty. The giant cutlet at first glance looks as thought it may be dry based on its enormous size. BUT air is the juiciest most flavorful chicken cutlet I have ever sank my teeth into. read more

I ordered steak and shrimp hibachi and the wings which came with 6 pieces. I really liked it. Most of the 'formal' hibachi (Americanized) places I've been to focus more on the show and entertainment part so the foods are often very salty and not as good. Even though this place doesn't have the entertainment portion due to size of the store, the food was great. It was well seasoned and everything goes well together. The steak might be a bit tough for someone but you can tell that it was cooked freshly. As for the chicken, it's a typical Asian style fried chicken with the batter not as thick compared to the traditional American wings which can be too greasy sometimes. The white and red sauce that came with was really good as well. I would definitely go here more often. read more

I definitely was not expecting the food here to be as great as it was. Food was hot, great prices, portion sizes more than worth the price, plenty of variety. The highlight of the meal is their Ninja Crispy Chicken XL, which is a 9-10 inch filet of well seasoned chicken. Also tried the shrimp which were delicious as well. Due to covid, it was converted to pickup only (maybe delivery too). I went to get some take out and I really thought highly of this place. I went for lunch and ordered off the lunch menu. The steak hibachi with fried rice was great, along with the miso soup! The calamari was perfect as well. I would order those 2 things again. The grapefruit green tea had too much of an aftertaste for me and I pretty much couldn't drink it. And the ninja chicken was not that great in my opinion and not worth the $8. read more

GREAT food -- everything they fry is almost greaseless, crunchy, and flavorful. We did not have adventurous eaters, so I didn't try the chili version, but I definitely want to (House . We also tried the House Combination (shrimp, calamari, and chicken) and the XL Exploding Chicken. We also tried the Steak & Shrimp Hibachi with noodles and the Chicken Hibachi with minced meat rice. This is our second visit & we leave overly full! Their prices are decent and their food is good. This Taiwanese inspired food chain has great selection of chicken. For this visit, we decided to go with one of their lunch specials (7.99$ each). It was basically the same thing, but one was sliced up and one was chicken nuggets. We love their curry rice which you can substitute for 1.50 extra instead of the white or fried rice. It also comes with a side of miso soup. We've tried the fried calamari in the past and it was ok. The breading often comes off of the chicken or squid though. Still, we love this place if we're looking for Taiwanese fried chicken & a place that satisfies our fillings for a fairly good price! read more

This place was a lot better than I expected. They specialize in Taiwanese fried chicken. I was surprised to see such a big portion of chicken with the typical Taiwanese style basil popcorn chicken seasoning for the breading. The minced meat rice could have been a bitter better. The meat was bigger than what I'd call minced. I did like that it comes in a convenient sealed be to box with seaweed salad, a cooked veggie medley, fresh oranges, and canned pineapple chunks. The food was prepared very quickly and the chicken was very tender and delicious! I do wish the breading encasing the chicken was more crispy. My friend ordered the fried chicken, shrimp, squid. The chicken in this order was more popcorn chicken bite sized pieces. We really liked the squid rings which tasted fresher than fried calamari that you'd get from places like Olive Garden. The calpis sodas were to die for! Usually mango is my go to flavor as passion fruit can sometimes be a little too sweet but in this case, I envied my friend who got the passion fruit calpis because the mango ended up being too sweet for us. It would be nice if they added less ice to the drink, but I'll try to ask them to do that next time. The customer service was very friendly and it was nice to see the sons willingly help their mom prepare the drinks. I wish my work was closer to this location because I'd probably go here for lunch at least a couple of times a week with the great taste and affordable pricing. read more
