We just came back from a great meal at Peking City in Virginia Beach. We are not from this area, just passing through to New Jersey. I wanted a good chinese meal in a sit down restaurant with hot tea, noodles and duck sauce, etc. Peking City exceeded my expectations. At first, I wasn't sure because the menu's were sticky, but the place smelled good so we went for it. We ordered the usual american/chinese food fare: Wonton Soup - a little greasy, and I didn't have to add soy sauce because the broth was dark like they added it already. Our main dishes were Mu Shu Chicken($6.95) (good), Sweet and Sour Chicken ($6.75) (Tasty, sauce mixed in before served), and Pork Lo Mein ($5.75) (perfectly prepared, colorful, not overcooked or greasy at all). I'll have to say that they all were great. The best part was that the prices were great and portions were huge! After eating and eating until stuffed, there was still enough to take home that looked like a regular full order! Back home, we are charged almost double, and this was dinner service!
