Served with a side salad. Cheeseburger was excellent. "Medium" might seem raw to some Americans, but it was delish nonetheless. My friend stopped by a street vendor to look at some souvenirs the restaurant is right next-door too. They have waiters with menus approaching on coming tourist since it's on the route to the Eiffel Tower. They will pretty much stick the menu you in your face. Like the novice tourist we were we took a seat at their outdoor café. We ordered water and a drink ; sex on the beach. The mixed drink was really good. That explains the two stars. When we asked for the bill they charge me for a large which was €13. I didn't realize they came in two sizes. When I made a face showing of my frustration The waiter conceded and said OK you can have it for €10. The bottled water was five euros for a bottle of water. Which is ridiculous. CAUTION!!!' on ordering water at a restaurant in France.ask for a carafe of water and they will give you tap water free of charge. If you simply ask for water they will sell you five euros bottles of water. Which is $7 in USD. Went for lunch today, a huge no no upon entering, never assume your customer doesn't know restaurant lingo. The hostess took us to our table until the female server used a subtle head movement. Mistake one, another table. Our server didn't seem interested in making an attempt to set a clear table. Took about 10 minutes, about a minute after I said I'm about to just leave. Being American we were ignored as tourist. Maybe we were, however, I'm a fairly well known restaurant guy and chef, never judge. Food was okay, onion soup was sweet as it should be, stock freshly made and overall a nice soup. My Croque Madame was nice, the egg appeared to be done in a ring mold making it look fake, was a bit overcooked. Sandwich overall was good, cooked nicely, soft as it should be on one side, bit skimpy on filling but overall again good. The fries, ordinary and unseasoned, I passed. The Club sandwich was at best mediocre, nothing to speak to, same boring fries. The server once he started was okay, he smoked, a huge turn off to me. Again as a chef my taste buds and nose are top notch, he smelled like an ashtray, then saw him outside smoking while I tried to pay bill. So was another female employee, maybe common place? Some review me think it's a tourist area, they are correct but it's never an excuse, the meal wasn't bad, had it not been for the being ignored and the smoking I would recommend it, however I can't overlook those two, so if your busting maybe stay away and save $48. read more

My husband and I were dropped here by an Uber driver who had been trying to get us to the Bourse de Commerce on a day when many inner-city roads were shut down because of the Tour de France. The driver said sit here and try again in an hour. Before we even sat down, my husband, who uses a walker, asked to use the restroom. A waiter took him to the back of the restaurant and helped him down the stairs to the basement restroom without even knowing whether we were customers. We sat down and had a cheese plate and sparkling water. It was fine, though I can't judge a cafe's food on just the cheese plate. When it was time to leave, our waiter tried very hard to find us a taxi, as we were across the street from a taxi stand and figured we'd have better luck with a cab than with Uber. No luck. I happened upon this restaurant since it was a stone's throw away from my hotel. On my trip to Paris, I was determined to try several items at a new restaurant each day. One of them was a Croque Madam. What is Croque Madame and what's the big deal, you say??? Croque Madame is actually the best ham and cheese sandwich you will ever have, just with a egg over easy on top! It's two pieces of egg dipped toast, with sliced ham, swiss cheese, béchamel sauce in between. There is also a delightful cheese crust on top of the sandwich that added a lovely cheesy touch. (Croque Monsieur is the same thing, just with no egg). I loved how all the ingredients worked together in harmony for the perfect chew, crunch, and flavor this sandwich consisted of. The restaurant itself is quite lovely, plenty of seating outside overlooking the Eiffel Tower and an elegant interior. I had friendly service, everyone there spoke English (as far as how proficient is questionable, but they know enough so I could get by). It came with a side salad which was nothing special but a little pit of lettuce with dressing on top, but it's a just a side. Worth coming back to next time I'm in this beautiful city! read more

The worst experience ever! I just get 5€ Hot chocolate, since I do not have cash with me, I gave them my credit card which I used all day. I do not know what is the reason but it did not work and waiter just throw it away the card and he said it is not working. Warning to traveler's!! This place takes advantage of international travelers. It is against the customs in France to tip however this place has a forced tipping procedure. We mainly chose to eat here due to its proximity to the tower (possibly a warning sign) I ordered the steak and fries with bechemel. The bechemel came out cold and in a little container and my steak was very rare when I ordered it cooked medium. I sent it back, the cook cut it in half and cooked it very well done. It was gross. My boyfriend got the chicken sandwich, it is just that. A chicken sandwich with a slice of processed cheese. We were very disappointed that they expected us to pay the full price of the steak (32) when I obviously didn't enjoy it. By the time we were going to pay I guess our waiter went home...so we tried to tell the manager how brutal my steak was and she defended it as a "language difference" when our waiter spoke perfect English and just arrived to Paris two weeks ago lol. Your choice of 1 hot beverage, 1 cold juice, a basket of fresh croissants and breads with jam ( fresh strawberry jam!!), and an omelette. For an omelette without all the Americanized fixings in it, this thing was packed with flavor! I was just plain with cheese but it was beautiful and extremely light and delightful. What a perfect way to start my day. I had my cafe with chocolate and it was tres bon! What a frustrating place. I had my hotel concierge call this place which is across the street from my hotel Pullman Tour Eiffel (they are extremely accommodating by the way) to see if I could get onion soup to go. I understand this is unusual for Paris which is why I had my hotel call, which is literally across the street, for me so they could speak French to the manager, and the Pullman went out of their way to provide me with a take away container which the restaurant did not have. Upon arrival at the restaurant I was told by the manager they could not accommodate my request even though my concierge had spoken with them about 2 minutes before. Not sure what changed in the 2 minutes it took me to get there. I had eaten there a few days before during the day and the female manager was very nice and seemed to enjoy foreign clientele. This was a jarring experience for a place that had previously treated Americans so well. The food is okay, it is overpriced but so is everything in the area. Apparently the service is so hit or miss and with many other cafes in the area it's not a place I would recommend. While great service isn't something you should expect in Paris the manager was quite rude when he found out I was foreign. Not a place I would recommend under the best of circumstances. read more
