The chocolate ice cream on the other hand is super saturated (note the Dutch chocolate is the same as the sea salt except the salt). While I loved the ice cream, unless I'm specifically in the mood for something creamy, I actually think I would prefer to get the sorbets next time for the more concentrated gelato-like flavor. The matcha sorbet seemed like a winner, but they also have such a wide range of delicious flavors. They let you try some flavors, which is perfect for an indecisive person like me. And the servers are so sweet!

Cross my heart and hope to die - Cremerie Meu Meu has the best sorbets I've ever had…read more My friend stumbled upon this ice-cream shop tucked in a tiny storefront near the Mont-Royal station on a blistering hot and humid day in Montreal. We first got a double scoop of the Orange and Arctic Fire Sorbets. I'm not usually one to get orange-flavoured desserts/drinks since I can easily get some old-fashioned OJ, but this Orange Sorbet was absolutely divine on the hot day. Sweet and tangy, yet not overpowering. The Arctic Fire was an interestingly sweet with a floral tone - I wish I remembered the main ingredient, but I was too busy indulging in my ice-cream/sorbet addiction. The sorbets were incredibly good. After we devoured them, we went back in immediately to try more flavours. My friend and I ultimately decided on the Mango and Passion Fruit Sorbets, both representing tangy fruits that we enjoy and love. The owner highly recommended the Cantaloupe to help us cool off, and proceeded to give us a free scoop on top of our packed cup! We were so appreciative of the free scoop, and I'm glad we got to try it out! It was my favourite flavour - it genuinely tasted straight like the fruit, just an ice-y form. My friend's favourite was the Orange. If you're in the Mont-Royal area, make sure to give this place a try! I wish we tried some of their ice-cream flavours, but we already did 5 different sorbet flavours that night. Couldn't afford a brain freeze! I think from now on, I'm gonna start trying Orange-flavoured desserts/drinks.

As those who follow me know, I typically save my reviews for exceptional businesses. In fact, when…read moreI have negative feedback to share, I will almost always send a direct and private note to the business, or just walk away. But, when a place so thoroughly abuses your trust (and basic belief in Mankind) - it is important to take to outlets like Yelp and share your thoughts. So it happened with my family in Montreal last nite - in search of ice cream - not many choices, found this YEH on busy St. Catherine's Street. Typical yogurt place - take a cup and fill it with as much and as many flavors of yogurt that you'd like - then top that off with stuff like candy and other toppings. Well we filled up a couple of cups, paid and sat down. And, as I was eating said yogurt, I thought to myself "this place has low expectations" - then I looked down to see that I was actually eating this crap yogurt. It was then that I realized that my expectations were lower than those of this business, and my Wife (who had walked to the back of the store to get napkins I believe) jumped up in the air. Yes friends, a big rodent out in the open in the back of the store. We promptly dumped our newly purchased yogurts in the trash and fled as quickly as possible. Lesson learned - dirty places with zero quality control and zero hospitality must be avoided, like the plague. Sorry to do this to the Yeh people - but I felt an obligation. The very worst of the worst - must be avoided. Any and all locations.

We ordered the Remix which is authentic freddo expresso, cafe crema soft serve and topped off with hot frothed milk and chocolate. This was a 10/10 and was every bit of amazing as it looks in the picture. Service was fast and friendly. One note, they don't have flavored coffees, so I couldn't order a caramel latte, for example. The ice cream got stuck together like one huge piece over the cone. There was not enough ice cream IN the cone to hold it down.
