I've been here a couple of times the wait staff is fast turnover. The food is good but nothing to write home about price to quality. Some servers don't really speak good English and therefore you have problems with your food order. Last time I was there they served appetizers and main course and the same time. Calling it "cozy" would be generous. This place is tight. Like, legally-questionable tight. I've had more legroom on a budget airline with turbulence. I stood up once and apologized to three people I don't know, a chair, and someone's stroller. If you drop your fork, don't bother picking it up, you're not fitting down there anyway. Let's talk ambiance. The restaurant wants to feel like France, but instead it felt like the pit of hell, if hell had exposed brick and a daycare center inside it. Babies were screaming like it was their full-time job. Not one baby. Multiple. Surround sound. Dolby Atmos: Infant Edition. Nothing pairs better with hunger-induced rage than a shrieking chorus of tiny humans. And after two hours... the food arrived. Was it transcendent? Was it worth the wait? My husband and I had dinner here Friday for our anniversary. This was our first time here although I've had coffee and pastries on the bakery side several times and that was outstanding. I really wanted to love this place, but unfortunately was disappointed. We started with the calamari appetizer which was good, but a bit greasy. The calamari was very tender. I had the sea bass over Israeli couscous. The fish was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The couscous however tasted like it had zero seasoning. My husband had a Caesar salad and the ribeye with fries. The ribeye was good, but not outstanding. It was pretty fatty. The big disappointment for me was the chocolate lava cake. It was very over baked with one side actually burnt. It was very dry with absolutely no "lava". The ice cream was on the side was good, but did not make up for fail on the cake. We had the deluxe breakfast croissant, the lamb burger with a lettuce bun, which they supremely impressed with, and the kola-waffle. I regret that we did not get our server's name because he was amazing and super impressive. He knew his product and made excellent suggestions. It's a pretty small space, but they utilize it well and keep up with demand. It's super close to the theater so I'm sure this is something they deal with often. They had a pretty impressive lunch menu with seven appetizers including French favorites like warm Brie and escargots, three soups including the old dependable French Onion with Gruyère Cheese and a house made puff pastry, seven salads, eleven sandwiches including more French favorites like Croque Monsieur and a French Dip, three quiches, six Bistro Favorites including Moules Frites (mussels) and a crepe, two entree bowls, and six burgers including the aptly named Frenchie (with Brie Cheese, Crispy Shallots, and Mushroom Duxelle). My wife ordered a Chicken Salad Sandwich with lettuce and tomatoes on Brioche Bread with house made chips ($12) and I went for the Chicken Tikka Masala Bowl ($16) with "Chunks of Grilled Marinated Chicken in special Garam Masala sauce, Ancient grain, Broccolini, Cilantro & Cashews". My lunch was FANTASTIC! Everything in the bowl was excellent and the only improvement opportunity I can suggest is that the portion was far too big for a lunch. I'd have rather seen them slim down the order size a little and shaved off some of that $16 price. The real issue we had at lunch was the terrible service. After our food was delivered, we never had the obligatory check-back and in fact never saw our server again until a very, very, very long wait for the bill. We saw other servers in our section refilling waters and iced teas, but that never happened to us. Oh well, c'est la vie. read more

I'd recommend it to anyone for a date night or night out with friends. Although the service we received was very pleasant, we were highly disappointed in the food. Everything tasted and looked like generic American food - nothing organic or local. Presentation was very basic which is why I didn't even take any photos of my food. The website highly oversells the experience in my opinion. I should have known something was off when I first received my cappuccino in a huge cup that was like a bowl of milk for cereal. My husband ordered a cinnamon role which he was not impressed with at all either. After we ate our breakfast, we both felt very sluggish. The togo cafe next door looked cute but after our dining experience we were not motivated to purchase any other pastries.
