I live 3 hours away and purchased an experience for my family to enjoy while in the area overnight. The night before, they informed me by email that they would be canceling "due to weather". After multiple attempts to call them to discuss, I had to go back-and-forth with a very rude woman via email. I explained that because we had come from out of town we were willing to come "rain or shine", noting that their website states they operate "rain or shine". She cited lightning as the reason they would be closing, which would be completely understandable if it weren't the freaking night before and you don't know that there will be lightning at that time. Due to their complete lack of consideration, I attempted to dispute their charge with my credit card company and the "farm" refuted it, stating I had purchased a nonrefundable ticket. Obviously that is a fact, but THEY canceled the event (based on the reviews, I should have paid attention to prior to purchasing, this is a common tactic of theirs ) with no reasonable alternative. $200 down the drain, but I will not be quiet about it.

Fed a cow, chickens and goats. Saw bunnies, chicks, turkeys and pigs. While the experience was about an hour for us, they do let you know that it might be a bit more or less depending on engagement with the animals. Visit requires a donation, but they don't ask for a specific amount. You have to contact them via facebook and schedule the visit. It was pretty easy for us to schedule it. Owner is very responsive and was so awesome with my little girl when we visited. Definitely want to visit again!

When we got there Duke, the four month old highland cow was just chilling in the small fenced area they use for hands on animal encounters. With his soft shaggy copper hair he looked like a stuffed animal come to life. They have only had him a couple months but he let you approach and pet him. I could sense Duke was mildly nervous but then they bring out a leash for you to pose with him. He seemed comfortable with this routine and the staff takes great shots. Alaska Farms provides little sacks of food so when you go over to the horses they are eager for you to pet them and feed them carrots and celery. One horse had his name shaved in his coat and their mane had been lovingly braided. We fed celery to the Emu, hay and veggies to Eeyore, the donkey, and hay and pellets to the goats through the fence. All the animals are used to human interaction and very keen on helping you empty your bag. We also got to hold one month old baby goats. One was black and the other one was white with multi color spots. This was the best part. If allowed I would just have skipped the rest and just held the babies. They were only a few pounds and seemed content to be held and chew your hair. Haha We also got to observe the city/county horses which are trained and boarded here in stalls. They were much larger horses than the ones we fed. It was explained that they were chosen for their calm demeanor which is necessary when police ride in crowded areas. They had music and games to play while you waited for the tour to begin. Adult goats were available for petting and since it was October they were dressed in Halloween costumes. We brought a small picnic and after the tour we sat in the yoga studio and enjoyed our meal at a picnic table. The staff played music, asked if we needed anything and helped us clean up at the end. The staff at Alaska Farms really want you to have a good time and go out of their way to make sure everyone in the group gets the full experience. They provide background on the animals and answer questions. Like all Orlando attractions you end in the gift shop. I bought some of their goat cream body care.

But after walking through, I thought it was nice just feeling like you are in a field of wildflowers just being super carefree. There were a few vendors, and they sold snacks like kettle corn, drinks, etc. They had games like badminton, the bean bags, rubber ducky water races, and swings. They also have a hay ride. There was sun and shade. We brought out umbrellas for added shade through the flower fields. This was a super fun experience! I'll be back in the fall for their corn maze! I can't wait! Well look no further than LaPorte Farms. Located in the Roseland area of the Treasure Coast which meets up with the southern most point of the Space Coast, LaPorte Farms (which I will shorthand to LaPorte) is an open farm consisting of a wide array of animals to see and activities to do. Designed in which everything can be seen or experience in one or two hours tops sans any major events, LaPorte is both entertaining and educational, especially for children. Starting with the animals, there are plenty of pens and large birdcage enclosures featuring many kinds of animals of both domestic farm life and... well... more "exotic" farm life. They have horses, chickens, and pigs, but also have llamas, turtles, bearded lizard, and lemurs. To add to the fun, they have named some of their animals as seen on their "Critters" Tab on their official website. Next, the activities are catered towards children and overall family experience. On site, there is a little library where you can "leave a book, take a book." This is definitely an excellent way to prepare for the Reading Challenge LaPorte hosts. Plenty of photo opportunities to be made which includes photography props including a face-cutout picture board and a "jailhouse." There is a section for little kids to ride spring rocking horses, which is a toy I haven't seen in ages. Finally off the top of my head, there are also pony rides and train rides for $5.00 per kid to partake in. Outside of the basic on site activities, LaPorte hosts many events including fishing tournaments and summer camps. They are often active in their community via their non-profit, Friends of LaPorte Farms. As a matter of fact, as of the publication of this review, LaPorte recently won the business of the month given to them by the Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce. Finally, the main house, sells food, drink, and gifts. Guests can buy packets of food to feed the critters on the farm (no outside food please), packages of eggs laid from their hens, and even honey and soap from other local businesses LaPorte are friends with. The two unique "events" the main house has is the Reading Challenge in which families can sign up their kids to partake in, and the "Pray for the Troops" box filled with toy soldiers. Overall, LaPorte is a very fun place to visit with the family. I expect such a place would be interesting to see during certain holidays such as 4th of July and Christmas. Gives reason to return for guests. For now, giving LaPorte four out of five stars. Everything is excellent, but the fifth star shall be earned if LaPorte is consistent. P.S. - LaPorte Farms is one of the locations to visit in the Treasure Coast Kids Quest for Indian River County. Families can go to the official website and/or obtain a passport from the main house at LaPorte or the Vero Beach Chamber of Commerce. At each location, passholders have to complete a task or mission. At LaPorte, you need to take a picture with Baby Girl the zebra.

I have taken opioids for pain but I don't want to take pills the rest of my life, I use sea extracts to relieve pain, which are expensive and sleep with a heating pad every night because the pain is severe; I refer to it as "screaming" I purchased the CBD lotion bar today and late in the afternoon my pain was severe so I rubbed the stick on my neck, within 45 seconds the pain was gone; I couldn't believe it, it lasted for hours. I am going to bed without my heating pad. I Can't remember the last time that happened. To be in constant pain every day and then to suddenly be pain free is something I'm still trying to believe. If you have pain of any kind you have to try this. I can't believe how fast and how well it works. Pain free without heat or medication, it's miraculous.

The yoga portion is very beginner friendly and definitely takes a backseat to the alpacas themselves. It's really more about enjoying the experience, laughing, and spending time with these adorable animals than getting in a serious workout. Great experience that I'd love to do again.

She was so artistic and really helped everyone bring their piece to life. The alpacas are adorable. They were fun to feed and watch play with eachother. Just have to be careful they don't snatch your plate with paint on it away (which did happen to someone). But the staff was quick to come in, bring new paint, and help fix the art piece. I removed 1 star from the owner King's unkind words and storytelling. We sat in our painting class and divulged very unbecoming details about him and his wife's marriage. He proceeded to refer to her as an "old hag" many times. He shared too much personal information and it was extremely uncomfortable to sit and listen to.

This ranch is a hidden gem ! As a rider, I really enjoyed this ride . It was beautiful and the horses are well maintained . My daughter felt safe and could've stayed here all day. We did come back the next day with my Nieces to ride as the ponies are perfect for the kids ! We are looking forward to coming back during the cooler weather months or holidays. FYI : The pricing is very reasonable....1 lap (10 dollars) or 2 laps (15 dollars), which gives kids plenty of time to enjoy the ride without feeling rushed. The area for pony ride is very clean and nicely kept. Every CM we encountered were friendly and knowledgeable. If you love horses, you need to come and visit. Highly recommend.
