Spider the month old baby goat wants some love. He has on a Halloween costume
    Erin G.

We went back for the farm tour and it was such a good time. Baby cows, month old baby goats, horses and goats in Halloween costumes. When we got there Duke, the four month old highland cow was just chilling in the small fenced area they use for hands on animal encounters. With his soft shaggy copper hair he looked like a stuffed animal come to life. They have only had him a couple months but he let you approach and pet him. I could sense Duke was mildly nervous but then they bring out a leash for you to pose with him. He seemed comfortable with this routine and the staff takes great shots. Alaska Farms provides little sacks of food so when you go over to the horses they are eager for you to pet them and feed them carrots and celery. One horse had his name shaved in his coat and their mane had been lovingly braided. We fed celery to the Emu, hay and veggies to Eeyore, the donkey, and hay and pellets to the goats through the fence. All the animals are used to human interaction and very keen on helping you empty your bag. We also got to hold one month old baby goats. One was black and the other one was white with multi color spots. This was the best part. If allowed I would just have skipped the rest and just held the babies. They were only a few pounds and seemed content to be held and chew your hair. Haha We also got to observe the city/county horses which are trained and boarded here in stalls. They were much larger horses than the ones we fed. It was explained that they were chosen for their calm demeanor which is necessary when police ride in crowded areas. They had music and games to play while you waited for the tour to begin. Adult goats were available for petting and since it was October they were dressed in Halloween costumes. We brought a small picnic and after the tour we sat in the yoga studio and enjoyed our meal at a picnic table. The staff played music, asked if we needed anything and helped us clean up at the end. The staff at Alaska Farms really want you to have a good time and go out of their way to make sure everyone in the group gets the full experience. They provide background on the animals and answer questions. Like all Orlando attractions you end in the gift shop. I bought some of their goat cream body care.

10/10 amazing experience! The baby goat cuteness overload makes all your problems melt away. I paid for my tickets online easily at Eventbrite. The gates open 15 minutes before the start time of the class. There is a shelf area you can leave your belongings in nearby so the goats can't get to it. The class may include: baby goats jumping on your back, petting goats, goats sitting on you and the ultimate double goats standing on your back. There also was a 5 minutes after class time where you could pick up and hold the baby goats to take photos with them. Afterwards there was a short tour of adult goats and horses. I loved this experience and would come back.

Took a yoga class have a magical experience. First time doing yoga and it was so fun with the goats. They are so adorable, our instructor was so friendly and fun. Staff is so friendly. Have a great time goats are fun and adorable and well cared for. After the class we took a tour and they also have beautiful horses and a little shop. They sell handmade goat soups and organic honey. Classes are by appoinment only. You have to book them online, they get full very quick. They also have others events during the month like paint and sip with the goats and others. Planning to go back for more yoga classes and have fun with the goats.

So much fun today at House on Lang! Met Pop-Tart and the rest of the gang! Thank You for bringing them and letting us hold the babies

Had such a fun time! Great yoga session and the goats were adorable- highly recommend!

This was a cool place, which is the only reason I can think of calling it Alaska farms. They have various events and we went on a Friday evening for a tour and then hanging out with goats. The staff was informative about the various animals at this farm, including the goats, the cows and a donkey that just had a baby donkey. I was super shocked as I thought a donkey was a baby horse. Babies having babies? Anywho... cool stuff. The staff gave you a bag of hay so you could feed the animals. We also got to see the horses which are used buy the Orange County Sheriff's office. These giant horses were in stables and you were not allowed to feed them as they have a special diet since they have jobs, unlike those other animals mooching off of us. They all had long faces though... so sad. They have a calendar of events so check out their info and plan something and hang out with animals!

First time trying Goat yoga. Great staff and even greater time! Would recommend to anyone looking to have an interactive goat session :) Thank you!

Had the best time at Alaska farms goat yoga experience. The goats were very interactive and the employees and volunteers were very kind and accommodating. I highly recommend this farm for a fun family adventure.

Attending Alaska farms for goat yoga was an adorable adventure! Picture this: you're in downward dog position , trying to focus on your yoga flow, but those mischievous baby goats just won't let you! Distraction level? Through the barn roof. While I didn't exactly break a sweat with yoga, the sheer joy of being surrounded by goats made up for it. The instructor in the pink was actually very nice and walked us through the whole process as well. Post yoga, we went on a farm tour, where I met more furry friends- horses and of course more goats. However I wish the tour had delved deeper into the other farm residents, considering the size of the place. But let's talk about the inevitable-goat poop! It's everywhere, but hey it's part of the charm of hanging out with these cuties! I recommend that they can extend the tour alittle longer so we can get the full experience for your buck. For those seeking an intense workout, adjust your expectations. This is more about the experience than the exercise. Speaking of attire, don't wear your best yoga gear; these goats aren't afraid to leave their mark! The merch was tempting, but I found it a tad pricey for what it offered. I did purchase a bottle and it was scratched up and cost like 7$ but I wanted to keep it for memories. Nevertheless, overall, it was a delightful outing though likely a one-time affair for me. Oh, the struggle for goat selfies ? It was a lot lol. I think if they put a time limit on the selfies pictures with the goats, it would be way better; it took me ages to snap just one pic amidst the goat paparazzi. But hey, memories were made; even if my camera roll didn't reflect it all. I would rate 4/5 because I did enjoy my experience with the goats and everyone was really friendly.

Such an awesome experience! We had so much fun playing with the baby goats and having them jump on top of us. Warning: while it is a yoga class, the focus does seem to be more on playing with the goats so at time you'll probably be lost in the poses switch.. also saw someone get peed on by a goat so don't wear anything you're afraid to ruin.. but still 100% worth it and recommend!

This was SOOOOO cute!!! So happy i went & experienced this. The goats are so sweet and friendly. And yes they do let you pet them. After the yoga session they walk you around the farm and you're able to see the horses . The staff was super lovely and welcoming & the instructor as well. Will definitely visit again. Oh and btw if you want to try this solo go for it! I went solo and it was really fun!

This has been on my bucket list for such a long time! I am so glad I had the opportunity to finally try goat yoga. I had such a wonderful time! The mini goats were so adorable! I think I did more cuddling than yoga but couldn't resist. I have done yoga before but I can definitely say that adding goats to yoga really allows participants to connect better with nature and creates a better sense of peace and relaxation. While at Alaska Farms I discovered that not only do they have goat yoga, but they also offer goat cuddle hour, goats and mimosas, and evening at the farm. The beautiful farm sits on about 9 acres and is home to not only goats but also cows, horses, donkeys, emus, and more! I love the goat yoga studio! It gives you kinda of a open air feel. I'm not sure but I think it was a horse stable converted into a yoga studio. There are ceiling fans to help keep you cool in the heat. The space was so peaceful. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They made sure that everyone had plenty of time/interaction with the goats. I didn't feel rushed. They let you go at your own pace. You could be as advanced with the yoga movements as you wanted or simply cuddle with the goats. They even helped class participants take pictures of their experience. Overall great first experience! I would definitely recommend that to try it!

During the earlier stages of my time coming here, I'd usually only go to their Yin / Deep Stretch classes because I had a pretty solid work-out regime outside of yoga. So, the deep stretching was a great balance to my primarily cardio-based routine. It was not until last year, that I fully committed to a membership and it's been the best decision I have ever made. Though I am not a complete novice to the practice of yoga (as I have been doing it on and off with no real consistency since middle school when it was recommended as physical therapy to me by my doctor), I am a novice to being consistent with my practice of yoga. Signing up for a membership, has been the game changer. The instructors are amazing. Patient yet encouraging. They take the time to learn your face (and name) which just makes attending the studio feel that just more like a supportive friend group. Though, they offer primarily heat based classes, do not FEAR it. The heat is bearable. It's almost as if with each passing move you are sweating out the negative energy of the day, toxins, and any bad vibes you may have had following you that day. You leave feeling refreshed, inspired and deeply proud of yourself for showing up for YOU. Needless to say, I am a total fan of this studio. The space is clean and there is ample parking. They offer great membership packages as well as reasonable drop-in class prices. They also host various restorative events like crystal bowl meditations. And if yoga is your calling, fret not, because you can also go through instructor training under their tutelage. I say all that to finally say, if you have not been, I definitely recommend giving this studio a go! You won't regret it! Peace & Love. Namaste.

I was so excited to hear that Firefly Yoga would be coming back to Downtown Orlando. They used to have a studio next to The Sanctum, then opened their second studio in Ocoee, and eventually focussed solely on the Ocoee studio for a few years. When I heard they were returning, I was blown away by their new model. A passionate group of yoga instructors banded together to create The Collective, where they volunteer to teach classes. With this model, the money they collect goes straight to rental of the space (and tea, if they ever make more than they need to keep the studio open). This means that the prices are some of the lowest in Orlando. The drop-in rate is $8 (WUT.) and unlimited yoga is $60/month (will increase to $70/month for new members starting in June '19). This is absurdly low and only makes sense because this is less of a business and more of a passion project to bring Firefly back to Orlando. It was a really welcoming environment from right when I walked in. Lynn, our class instructor, showed me to the cubbies and explained everything after I got checked in. She was so kind to give me a heads up about the class format which was super nice to know. In the 90 minute class there's no music and it's all spoken instruction and timing through 26 movements (I think that was the number). It was a much different setup then any other yoga class I've been in so it was really nice to know that beforehand. The way Lynn instructed was very matter of fact- she knew the names of all the participants well, even myself as a first timer. Some may have taken it a wrong way when she calls your name to correct your form, but once you get used to it it was actually really nice. She paid close attention to everyone in the room even though it was full, to make sure everyone was getting the most out of it. I really appreciated the corrections as I still don't know a lot of the verbiage with yoga flow so I got lost at different points but Lynn always patiently pointed me to the correct direction. My class members were so supportive and even though 90 minutes in a hot room was so hard, it felt amazing after. They do have showers there as well so you can clean off right away after class. They offer the normal 60 minute hot yoga, hot pilates classes, and a few other things.
