I dined at Chevy's a couple of times during my recent stay at the resort. I had not initially planned to dine here at all, but rather ran out of exciting lunch options and everything's worth trying at least once, right?
The interior has a retro diner atmosphere with fresh burgers, shakes, and a other typical standard diner food.
During my two visits, I tried the following:
- Blooming Onion with garlic dip & artichoke: good but not great, could skip.
- Salad Garden - Fresh lettuces, onion, cucumber, peppers, orange dressing & Dijon mustard: this was my favorite salad at the entire resort. I loved the dressing! I ordered this both visits and finished it all. Surprising to find one of the better salads at the burger restaurant.
- Mexican hot dog (Spicy): Beef sausage, beans, caramelized onions, and Pico de Gallo with jalapeño: this was a pretty good combination of random things, I enjoyed eating it the first time but did not order it again.
-The Mexican PCT: 8 oz of Angus beef with poblano chili pepper slices, American cheese, pickle, and waffle fries: The waffle fries are topped with shredded cheese and pretty good. The burger is standard with not any significant highlight.
- Shrimp Burger: Garlic butter shrimp, fried onion rings with melted cheddar cheese, coleslaw and sweet potato wedges: PRO TIP: ask for extra shrimp! The shrimp makes this burger delicious. They are big and plump, seasoned well, and cooked perfectly. It's worth coming here for the shrimp alone.
Overall, I'd say definitely stop here once for lunch. The highlights are the shrimp burger and garden salad. Experiment with the other options if you've got the appetite, but overall nothing is mind-blowing. read more
