Road tripping to so-cal for Xmas Disney trip with 2 toddlers.. First time at the hand car was in San Bruno (you can't miss it, it's in Chevron gas station near IHOP) on a Monday evening around 5pm. No line however after the service started, 2 cars were already waiting! You pick which service you'd like, a lady will check in with you and you make payment. I opted for the $29.99 Full Service Car Wash- 100% Hand Wash & Towel Dry, Vacuum Interior and clean windows/ dash & cup holders. They start with vacuuming your car, then you pull forward, car wash then you go through the wash and make a U-turn then they hand dry and wipe down in the inside! I fell back in love with my car! They still had some stuff to vacuum but I have kids and it's not detailing. They did their best and I'm impressed! Will be coming back once a month or so! We are ready for our road trip! FYI, had to pay and extra $10 because I have an SUV(Toyota Highlander) which I didn't mind since it's harder to vacuum in the 3rd row! read more

NEVER COME HERE. I usually get my car detailed in LA but they are. The car wash is open longer than the attendance are there for so I decided to try this Chevron. Before getting here I wanted to make sure that my car would be able to get detailed and I wouldn't just be exterior cleaning. I called to ask a question about the interior cleaning, told they close at 6pm, and asked how much it was to just do the interior before I got hung up on. Not sure what about asking about interior cleaning was offensive about a question. I called again but the line sounded busy. I called a few more times and thought the place must've gotten busy so I left a voicemail explaining my situation and my question. I let them know that I would call again, only to call again and have the person answer the phone and be laughing. My guess was and hope was that they were laughing at something else, so I called again and left another voicemail explaining that somebody answered, but maybe there's something with the signal that we kept getting disconnected. I called again and was answered again. Nobody spoke before they hung up on me. Finally, I came to the location and asked to speak with the manager. I was told that it would be 40 minutes or so so I got in line because it looked relatively long. The same lady came over to try and charge me and I said I would not pay until I spoke to a manager. The lady laughed in the same familiar voice. I heard on the phone call, and try to block me from talking to the other workers who are asking why I was in line, but not . I explained the situation and they started laughing too. I asked why it was funny when I just was asking a simple question if they could do the interior. When the manager did come to talk to me she was very aggressive and not understanding why I was offended that this lady was continuously laughing and argued that we didn't know what she was laughing at. I told her that I gave her the benefit of the doubt, but when she came over to my window and started laughing at me in person, despite me, just asking a simple question of whether I can just get the interior, that to me sealed the deal that she was totally laughing at my situation and my questions. The manager threatened to call the police and I insisted that she do so because I'm not sure what I did wrong other than wait to speak to the manager and discuss why her employee was allowed to behave this way. She wrote down what I assume our names on a receipt in order to get me out of the way. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS. Pricing is deceptive? Almost to point it's illegal? But they do have it in writing, small print in red ! Pull in with a CRV, it qualified for additional 7.00 bucks (mid size) on top of the 35.99 it turned out to be 43 bucks for a car wash. Soap & water and little elbow grease. Give me a break.! the crew did a good job. The price is that it doesn't sit well with me !just because we're in the climate where everything is expensive some things can turn out to be outrageous unless checked! I always drove past this location in San Bruno and never noticed there was a car wash here. After looking for a location that is conveniently price and closer to my home, I was recommended this particular spot and boy! was I surprised. Although, the prices have raise slightly the work hasn't diminished. I recommend going as early as you can, preferably in the a.m. hours. that way you can enjoy a clean vehicle all day and minimize the long wait times. Yes this place is notorious for having long lines that stretch outside of the gas station. but it's because their work speaks volumes. I paid for The "full service car wash" that went from $19 to 22.99. And that means interior, exterior as well as a wax and tire shine. Totally worth it and I am a happy customer. Now, normally I prefer to go and get a hand wash to lower the potential of scratches. But as I inspected my car there were no scratches. Getting ready for a road trip, where I'll be the DD, best believe I had to get my car looking prime for the weekend. This car wash is one of, if not the only hand car wash option in the San Bruno area. It's hard to miss considering there always seems to be a line of cars waiting to enter the car wash on the northbound side of El Camino. Here's how the process works: 1) Pick your wash. They have plenty of options if you are looking for interior and exterior dressings. Keep in mind if you have a truck or bigger SUV, there's an additional fee. 2) When it's your turn, you'll exit your vehicle so the attendants can vacuum the inside of the vehicle. You'll then hop back in and make the drive through the actual wash. 3) Inside the wash, they have attendants wiping down the car as it's being soaped, and once you are down, you'll drive back into the lot where the next phase of the exterior and interior dressing begins. 4) Then wait for them to finish and they'll call you over when it's done. A big reason why I came in was because a bird left a huge dropping on my back rear window, and it was mostly missed during the washing the period. As the car was getting dressed, I had to point it out, so that it could get cleaned, but even after that there was still residue left on it. Also, later in the day I ended up having to wipe down my car again, because there was streaks from the products they used. If I'm paying close to $70 for a car wash, I think it's fair for me to expect the car to come out clean. I'd prolly still come back since it's convenient, and if i'm in a rush, this is still the closest place for me, I just don't think it'd be worth it for me to buy their most expensive package. read more

Drove my car across the country for 2,600 miles and boy, it needed a wash! I was supposed to go to Millbrae car wash to find it was temporarily closed, and I found this gem of a car wash instead. For the price of $19.99, you get a pretty decent package of full service car wash. They vacuum your car interiors first, then move on to the hand wash & towel dry. Not to mention, they clean your windows and dashboard including the cup holders. I'm pretty nit picky with other people touching my car but I'm extremely satisfied with the turnout. They managed to remove all the grime from the long driving and make my car squeaky clean. I would say level of service here is unparalleled. I was so excited to see there wasn't a line of cars at the car wash so I made a u-turn and got the super saver wash for $29.99. What a terrible job these guys did. 1) they did a rush job vacuum and left dog fur in the back seat. 2) they didn't dry the bottom half of the car 3) left bug splatter on the windshield and bird poop on the roof 4) didn't even wipe down all the tires. The most disappointing thing to me was it wasn't even busy so they had time to do a good job. They did a half ass rush job at best. I have been coming here since South City Car washed closed. These guys took a lot of time on my car. Paid 5$ more for my Jeep; I'm ok with that. My car is shines. Got the full package with carpet vacuuming & mat cleaning. Dashboard and seats came out nice and shiny. Reason for only 3 stars is cause only 3 out of 4 of my tires were shined, the windshield still was dirty at the base, and some sticky spots on the exterior weren't taken all off. read more

Brought my car here for the 1st time today and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of their work and their friendly service! I got the basic hand carwash for $19.99. They vacuumed the inside floor mats and seats as well. Only reason for not giving 5 stars was because there was still some leftover sand on my seats from a recent trip to the beach. Other than that, I'm happy to report they did an overall good job. I also liked the fact that I could stay inside my car while they washed it. I'll definitely be back! read more

Got the $19.99 full service carwash. So far, my car is super clean. Certified 100% handwash. Only downside was the long line due to cleaners vacuum your interior first and if it is really filthy then they may take longer. You may need to come in earlier during the weekends or come during the weekdays when everyone is at work. read more

I own three vehicles for different purposes. I have recently tried the Chevron Touchless Car Wash to wash all three. My two mid-size SUV's were cleaned well. When I brought my full size pickup, I was charged an additional $7. I learned the Chevron Touchless Car Wash charges an additional $7 fee for oversized vehicles. I totally get that. What I don't get is why they charge that same "oversized" fee for a standard size pick-up. I asked the question, and was advised that my unmodified, full size pick-up truck is considered "oversized". They refused to elaborate any further. I don't have oversized tires, a lift kit, oversized rims or a camper shell on it. It came off the dealer lot just the way I brought it to the car wash. There is a term for the business model being used at this car wash, it's called "Price Gouging". I now go elsewhere to wash all three of my vehicles and thanks to the Chevron Car Wash price gouging policy, I save money. I wouldn't recommend this Car wash to anyone. read more

I'm reviewing this Chevron location on their car wash service. I was in desperate need for a car wash, so I got their full service wash. I'm NEVER coming here again. Once they finished "cleaning" the inside, I tipped them $5 and got inside, the inside wasn't even clean!! I complained to the lady at the register and she said "the service you got is only dashboard cleaning. It even says it on your receipt" Why is it called FULL SERVICE if it's not actually full service?? Also it doesn't say anything on my receipt that the service I got is only dashboard cleaning. Let me preface this by saying that I'm not one of those really big car loving people that spends nice days washing & waxing my car. I'm pretty happy if my car is reasonably clean inside & out - and my car gets washed maybe every 3 months. This car wash is my favorite so far. It's a reasonably priced touchless car wash (pckgs start at $10 for external wash only or $15 for wash & interior). To get the most out of it, make sure your car is prepped (empty trunk, clear car floors, etc). You start off by getting out while they vacuum and then step back in to drive it through... they pre-wash it by hand and then you drive it through the touchless car wash. FInally, you pull around so they can finish dusting the interior windows/dashboard. For those that have kids, it definitely isn't the same as those colorful soapy experiences at the automatic car washes - but I like that this car wash is touchless. No, the wash isn't pristine - but it at least does a good rough job. Not bad for $15 bucks. read more

Don't bother telling the manager because he is the one who takes your credit card #s. I have a chip credit card. 99% of the time when I make a purchase I insert my card into the credit card machine myself. The only time that I ever physically hand over my credit card to another person is at Chevron car wash in San Bruno. (You wait in line in your car. The manager walks over to your car, takes your credit card, walks over to the office to charge it, then brings it back to you in your car). I have been getting my car washed at San Bruno Chevron for over 20 years. Last year this very same thing happened to me. I went to the car wash and physically handed over my credit card, and then by the next day several fraudulent charges were made. I suspected it was the car wash because it is the only place where I physically hand over my car. But I did not know for sure. Sometimes I charge things online at large companies like Amazon. The woman in the fraud department at my credit card company told me it was unlikely that it was large online companies because they have processes in place. The crazy thing is, today when I went to the car wash today a thought went through my mind that if this happens again I will know it is you. And then it did!!! A few hours later my credit card company texted me and asked if I charged $561 to Saks Fifth Ave, which I definitely did not. I went into my account and saw that $427 had been charged to a sneaker site called GOAT, which I had never heard of. There is always a long line at Chevron San Bruno car wash and I doubt that my review is going to change that. Innocent until proven guilty and I don't have any proof. I had to wait over a half an hour because there were 5 cars in front of me. They are slower than snails. They didn't do a very good job for $29.99. This is not a good place for washing your car. I came to this place for a through clean of my car using their platinum package paying $49.99. I regretted it dearly. When they clean your car, they use a very carelessly way to do it. In my case, when they shampoo my floor mats, they yank them and ripped off the clips affixing the mats on the floor. When I found the issue and talked to them about the damage, they were not admitting for the damages they caused. More sadly, they were rude and unprofessional. I understand accidents happen but they offered no sort of apology or any type of assistance or anything for the inconvenience. I ended up having to use my own AAA to get back into my vehicle.
