Rip off pricing and ridiculous up charges.
    Ian M.

I wish I'd had my antennae up when going to this unscrupulous car wash for the first time. $30 for exterior car wash, well OK. But $25 up charge to vacuum dog hair, for example, gives you a taste of their up charging menu. Avoid at, and also because of, all costs.

I always drove past this location in San Bruno and never noticed there was a car wash here. After looking for a location that is conveniently price and closer to my home, I was recommended this particular spot and boy! was I surprised. Although, the prices have raise slightly the work hasn't diminished. I recommend going as early as you can, preferably in the a.m. hours. that way you can enjoy a clean vehicle all day and minimize the long wait times. Yes this place is notorious for having long lines that stretch outside of the gas station. but it's because their work speaks volumes. I paid for The "full service car wash" that went from $19 to 22.99. And that means interior, exterior as well as a wax and tire shine. Totally worth it and I am a happy customer. Now, normally I prefer to go and get a hand wash to lower the potential of scratches. But as I inspected my car there were no scratches. I plan on coming back and Hopefully they keep the prices low.

I usually wash my own car, but I had some time and decided to try this 100% hand wash. The greeter was nice and answered all my questions. The wait was about 5 mins in line. They did a really thorough job. Got all the tar off. No streaks on the glass. Meanwhile, gas prices were a little higher than average. Nextdoor to Ramada Inn.

I now understand the low overall reviews, but I just got a new car and was in the snow, so needed a car wash ASAP, so I remembered this spot. It was okay, but they charged be an extra $5 because my car was really dirty, but if you are going to charge me it, can you make sure my car is actually CLEAN!! They missed the whole back end of the car. If your car is basically clean and you need some water on your car, take it here!

just now NEW I remember this used to be a reputable place for a car wash...well not anymore. 1st, the prices visibly advertised are not the same prices when you have to select and pay. 2nd, their "hand wash" service is not the best. I drove off today, unknowingly with remanence of 3 separate bird droppings. My bad for not getting out of the car to examine, I guess I had too much faith in the service. That was the last time. $30 for a lightly petted wash.

    Supersaver clean!!!

I would give them zero star if possible. I went for a platinum car wash and they said they can't do platinum right now as they are short on people. Maximum they can do is super saver. They should have said it beforehand in the sign board. Nonetheless I agree with supersaver. But at the end they did not wipe clean the inside. Attached pic after the cleaning. I wanted to talk to the owner and she didn't even listen. Stay away from this business

These guys took a lot of time on my car. Paid 5$ more for my Jeep; I'm ok with that. My car is shines. Got the full package with carpet vacuuming & mat cleaning. Dashboard and seats came out nice and shiny. Reason for only 3 stars is cause only 3 out of 4 of my tires were shined, the windshield still was dirty at the base, and some sticky spots on the exterior weren't taken all off.

A big scratch and a much of small ones

Had been here a few times to get my car washed with no issues but this time I went my car was scratched in the inside. Spoke to the owner with no solution or even an apology. My car is new and there's no way I had those scratches before.

Brought my car here for the 1st time today and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of their work and their friendly service! I got the basic hand carwash for $19.99. They vacuumed the inside floor mats and seats as well. Only reason for not giving 5 stars was because there was still some leftover sand on my seats from a recent trip to the beach. Other than that, I'm happy to report they did an overall good job. I also liked the fact that I could stay inside my car while they washed it. I'll definitely be back!

Is your car starting to smell funny? Did somebody finally write " wash me please" on the dirt resting on your car? Trying to impress your new date with a great looking carwash! Well you've clicked on the right review! A friend told me about this place and I've fallen in love. I love my car and I know it has needs like anything else. If I'm not at home I'm in my car driving to work, the gym, a party, restaurants or a yelp event. So, you can see my car comes into contact with a lot of dirt and God only knows what else. Hehehe. They are fast and reliable here, but the line can get a little ridiculous. Their prices are also reasonable for any job you need. The only downside is their English is not to good so you have to follow them pointing at things to let you know what to do. AND I not putting them down for it! Everybody has to make a living. I'm just saying to if you don't speak the language to except a long winded conversation.

Fender area you can see the dirt in gray. The truck is blue colored.

What a strange, strange Safeway…read more The highlight of the place is that the first level of the building is the parking level. The only part of the "store" on this level is the staircase and elevator. Otherwise, I think the store takes up the entirety of the second floor. The elevator has a huge car that can fit many people and shopping carts, but it took a long time, both to be called and to move, when I was coming and going. It was only when I left that I noticed that there are actually two entrances: the one I used near the middle of the parking lot and the one farther north. When you come up from the central stairs/elevator, it's as if you're inside any other Bay Area Safeway. Besides customer service being right next to this entrance, nothing else would alert you that you've floating over all this parking. Like almost every other Bay Area Safeway, the layout is both familiar and slightly different. You'll generally find the bakery and produce sections on opposite sides, but beyond that, everything is just so. In this store's case, all the cheese is in a regular refrigerated aisle; in most stores, it's along the back wall. It's one of the few Safeway stores that hasn't added local street names to its aisles. That was cute at first, but now that seemingly every Safeway (and at least one Vons in SoCal) has that--and some of the names are misspelled or have the wrong street type--I'm over it. Aisle 3 can just be aisle 3. It doesn't have to double as El Camino Real. I was shocked at how few people were in the store on a Saturday night. Because of this, I barely had to wait in line for checkout, and I was downstairs at my car pretty quick. The checker did a pretty poor job of bagging, but it wasn't atrocious, just wrong. I happened to be returning some canned goods here when I came. When I got to customer service, a woman was arguing her point about some discount she received in addition to WIC or some other need-based debit card. Two different customer-service people were standing there listening to her argument, and even after they had each explained to her three times the different options for resolving her issue, she continued to argue. That's fine, more power to her, but I don't understand why one of the customer-service people couldn't start providing me with customer service. When I finally did speak to the younger person, she didn't know whether they would accept my return, and she had to wait for the other person to confirm that they wouldn't accept my return. For some reason, Safeway doesn't accept returns after thirty days, even with a receipt. These were canned goods that didn't expire until 2028, but a policy is a policy, I guess. I ended up leaving the cans there, because I didn't want them. When I left the store about a half-hour later, the cans were still sitting on the customer-service counter, untouched.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience at this Safeway location involving a defective product…read more I purchased a bottle of wine that had a faulty seal; it leaked all over my car and other groceries before it was even opened. When I brought the 1/3 empty, defective bottle back for a return, I dealt with Chrischelle at the customer service deck. Her behavior was completely unprofessional. She was immediately defensive and actually shoved my receipt back at me. Even worse, she tried to mislead me by citing "ABC laws" to claim she couldn't refund a defective item--which was untrue given the circumstances. The "Defective" ABC Exception: Under California Business and Professions Code Section 25600, a retailer is permitted to refund or exchange an alcoholic beverage if the product is defective, spoiled, or unfit for consumption. A leaking bottle with a compromised seal falls squarely into this category. Despite acknowledging the product was faulty and that I was within the return window, she remained rude and refused to help. I eventually had to file a credit card dispute, which I won easily because the bank agreed the item was defective. Save yourself the headache and go to a store that actually stands behind its products and treats customers with basic respect.

We were waiting in line to redeem our scratchers (during our break) and so we were assisted by a short brown man named MACCOY. He on one of the side of his nose is a black mole. I remember his description because of how rude he is. He was assisting us with our winnings and purchases I had kind asked him if he could help us purchase more tickets. He gave me an attitude and said go to the next register. And so I did. Then I was waiting for my co worker to get his drink. I called over to my co worker (he was at the slushie machine) and I said Dan what's are you? Hurry up we're paying already! Then I can hear MACCOY yelling out loud multiple times "SASSY!, SASSY!, SASSY!" Which was very rude and uncalled for. Very unprofessional. It made me feel embarrassed because there were younger ladies (teens) next to me on the other register with Cashier names Sandy And they were looking at me. Like if I was being rude and "sassy" which I wasn't. This was very unacceptable and I will make sure this is brought up to the attention of corporate of 711. Also, how come MACCOY is not wearing a name tag but sandy was?? Aren't all employees suppose to wear name tags? Btw, sandy was very pleasant and sweet. Kind and helpful. We appreciate her most!
