I stop here for gas when my job takes me into Burlingame at night. Gas prices are fair compared to other parts of the bay area. I never used the smog check services. But on Aug 4, I saw at least 3 pumps out of order. Seems like alot for a small station. Station is pretty clean. I see the night cashier outside sweeping at 10pm. read more

The price of a standard smog check can vary between $35-$65. One wonders why there is such a price difference? Every certified smog check station has the same equipment and uses the same test software. So why pay extra when you don't have to. For one, this test station is very conveniently located on El Camino Real. Two: Jaba is super friendly and efficient. Three: if you check-in on Yelp, you get a $10 discount! Win win win......... read more

I hate smog checks. Just another tax we pay to live in CA I guess. My car is a few years old and passed smog just 6 months ago. DMV wants a new test because I'm selling it? Sure makes a lot of sense (sarcasm). I search my trusty Yelp app for cheap places. I really don't care. Just give me my passing smog papers. I know its clean. I find Burlingame 76, which in my mind is actually toeing the border of Millbrae. Anyway I wait for the smogger and out comes a pleasant gentleman from Georgia (the country). His name - Jaba. Probably one of the nicest first impressions I have ever got from a mechanic type. Very friendly and genuine. Get in get out about 20 or so minutes. Quick and no trying to up sell or BS about this and that. jaba accepted my yelp deal of $30 for smog plus $8 for papers. No hesitation will recommend this place. Look no further folks. read more

When you pay cash here, they scan your bills here for fake bills. I used $5 bills here, and they were scanned. Other than that, the transaction went smoothly. Be careful when driving around this area. Red light cameras surround this area. read more

This is for the smog technician who checked our tires for us last week. One of the lights on our dashboard came on & we thought it was the tire being low. He did put a little more in, but it turned out it was the sensor giving us a false indication on our dashboard. He also checked the other three which were fine. We so appreciated him taking time in between customers. He is definitely a keeper. read more

Quick, friendly smog check station and honors the Yelp deal. The smog station is inside 76 but separate owner. Highly recommend. Seems to be a one man show. He works hard and really makes an effort !!! read more

These guys are so great. I came here a little over a month ago to get a smog check, and the mechanic was happy to give me the awesome Yelp deal without me even having to mention it! (Granted, I did know about it prior to pulling in, so I would've mentioned it if he hadn't.) On my way home today, I noticed that my car was due for an oil change. It's 6:30pm, and I'm thinking to myself, there's no car shop nearby that would still be open for business. I decide to test my luck at Burlingame 76. I saw the mechanics still outside, so I pulled over and asked if it was too late for them to do an oil change. "Sure, why not" is what one of them said. So they drove my car into the shop and did their thing. The mechanic, who worked on my car, even offered to find me a good deal for my synthetic oil change. "If you want to go with the lesser known brand, it will cost you a lot less, if you are interested." Granted, I stuck with the more well-known brand, but I was very grateful that he offered the alternative and wasn't so money hungry like so many mechanics out there are. Even more, they offered to clean my air filters for free (which I obviously accepted), but suggested that I get them changed out the next time I visit. Bottom line: These guys are so friendly, considerate and honest - and they provide fast service! I would highly recommend anyone and everyone to come here. Oh, and the mechanic who did my smog check last time, remembered who I was. I was a bit taken aback since it had been a while and I don't always see myself as a memorable person, but the fact that he recognized me (and probably even makes the effort to remember a lot of his customers) made me smile. read more

Total and complete ripoff, they charge 50cents more then Costco down the street one mile.. because it's close to SFO

One of my most pleasant car service visit, period. Few months back I needed to get smog check done and thought I'd give this place a try because of the hours(most shops in the area seem to close at 5pm, this one closes at 6pm). I was greeted in a friendly manner, and the whole process took just minutes. Attendant was laid back and easy going yet very informative. I was impressed. Today I needed an oil change and decided to give this shop another try. The attendant's name was Anthony if I remember correctly and he was very informative, friendly, and easy going. It was especially impressive to see how he took his time to do the job(even if it's just oil change) and didn't rush through the process. Not a single spill onto the engine compartment, and I'm talking w/o a funnel. Superb. Lastly the prices are reasonable too. 5-stars!! read more

Here is the picture. I'm over 100 mi from home, just picked up my sister at SFO and my car is packed with her stuff (just one bag Ma'am....yeah). So I figure I'll save some cash, and gas up in Burlingame as opposed to downtown SF. Stopped to gas up and....oh no! I didn't have the gas cap key. Was using my extra set of keys that day, and that one didn't have the a key with it. Now what? Luckily, Burlingame 76's station has a two bay garage with on duty technician. And luckily it was during the business day. The tech looked at the situation, grabbed a set of channel lock pliers and that gas cap didn't stand a chance. Bye Bye.... Unscrewed the remaining piece of plastic from the cap and there you go, fill it up. All for the price of? A bottle of juice. I tried to pay the tech and he said "What? NO. Buy me a soda"....so he grabbed a juice from the convienence store at the station, and I happily paid for it. What a cool thing to do!! So I had to review em. Price of gas was about 60 cents cheaper here than in downtown SF too. read more

FAST and cheap(er) than other smog check places! I called earlier in the day to make sure they would be open after work. No appointment needed but I'm glad I called earlier since when I arrived there were 3 cars ahead of me waiting to get smogged. The guy remembered I called so he made sure I would be able to get smogged before he closed. The entire process took about 15 min (SO FAST!) I didn't even have to show the coupon and he gave me the cheap price!! Only issue is that I found out he told me my gas cap was loose and so I thought that was a precautionary advice for me. I didn't realize he did something to my cap which made it not FIT into my gas can anymore (I JUST filled the tank a few days earlier so I KNOW the cap was fine). I found this out a day later when my car went crazy and had the check engine light on. I had to go to O'Reilly's just to buy a new cap :( read more

My father came in just to simply get a smog check at the beginning of the month and one of the employees harassed him for wearing a Warriors hat. First of all, what kind of customer service is that and what relevance does that even have to a smog check? This ain't sports bro, it's a smog check. Mind your business and do your damn job. I think the employee's name is Joey Chu. My advice to you: Don't be an arrogant bastard and disrespect my father who's just trying to get a smog check unless you want problems. read more

Their Yelp check-in offer for smog check is no longer valid, since the smog check station is under different ownership (for at least a few years now). When I pulled in this morning, I walked in to the little store and waited in line. The grumpy clerk was less than warm and friendly to customers, though he did offer to give a customer his $11 in change back in literal coin change. When I asked about a smog check, the gas station clerk simply grunted and pointed at the adjacent closed garage door. Confused, I asked where I should line up and what time they expected to open. The clerk said to wait. Another customer (pocket change guy) told me that it was under different ownership and that the smog guy had just arrived. Thanks! I asked the smog guy about the 76 Yelp check-in offer - it seems to be an on-going problem. Smog guy was so quick and efficient. 76 clerk, not so much. read more

I had to write a review after what happened to me an hour ago, This NEVER happened to me before, I pulled in to get gas and the attendant came out, asked me to wait 5 or so minutes as he was in the process of LOWERING the price. The price was 8 cents lower. If this is the way they treat customers, I'll have to come back!!! Maybe make this place regular place. read more

What can I say. Jabba was great. (I'm pretty sure that's what he said his name was. I saw that he had good reviews on yelp so I gave him a shot. Just like most of the other people reviewing, I can say that he was courteous and quick. I was in and out if the shop in less than 25 minutes. The best part... If you are seeing this on yelp, there is the coupon for $26.70. The total for the whole smog and cert came to under $35.00!!! Can you believe it? I'll definitely be referring people over to him. read more

Excellent service. The staff is kind and considerate. They fixed up my car in a timely manner and they did a great job in repair.

I needed a smog for the first time on my car. As the Audi dealership would have cost me $120 I started reviewing some other places. This was in my neighborhood and I read all the reviews. They were helpful in leading me to call and inquire. The price was good and they were efficient and helpful. They dont take appointments so I got lucky when I drove up and he could take me right away. 15 minutes and done! Yay! Until next year...... read more

I called in first to check if the Yelp price is real, and the guy said yes. Then I drove down there, got a little lost, ended up at another 76 gas station. When I asked the girl if they have smog check for $26.7 she looked confused and told me "that's not possible!" So I continued driving down along El Camino till I saw another 76 with a "smog for $39.95" sign outside. Then I went in, confirmed that it's the place having smog check for $26.7 from Yelp. Got the the smog check done within 15 mins after I got there. No line or whatsoever (around 2.30-3pm on a weekday). The only small hiccup was when checking out, the guy handed a $48.2 bill to me, but after I mentioned that I came because of Yelp ad, then he quickly corrected the amount to $34.95, and I could even use my credit card!!!! You can't beat the price, and the service is quick and smooth. From now on, as long as they offer this price, I'll be back whenever I need smog check!! read more

It was a smog. I didn't have to wait and he was prompt. I just got a coupon in the mail earlier that morning and decided to take my car in. I presented the coupon got 50 with a certificate and he said it'd be 70, but then i asked about the coupon and he said the best I can do is 60 with the certificate. I said what about the coupon that I just got today? He said oh this is for test only and California did away with test only (really?? Then why did you send me this coupon?). Anyhow it was 10 bux more than I anticipated on paying. He said California is part of the star program now. Whatever. Didn't want to argue. read more
