This is the best Chevron around. The employees are friendly and professional. The gas pump area, convenient store and bathrooms are exceptionally clean. The car wash employees are friendly and very efficient in a timely manner. It is the only gas station and car wash I use in Palos Verdes. read more

We have been taking our clients and our own personal vehicles here for years to get them detailed. I have always found their work to be high quality. While they still do great work, they have one terrible manager. His name unknown, he is the gentleman in the sun hat and yellow vest. Since we bring a good amount of cars here for detailing, we had a negotiated price for their services. The other when I did a routine pick up for one of our vehicles, I was rudely told that price had gone up by 50%, even though in the morning I had been told by the other manager that the price was as usual . No explanation. No apologies for not mentioning it before hand. Just " hey it's more expensive not pay up." When I tried to explain to this manager with the hat, I was spoken to rudely and dismissed. I don't mind paying extra but I hate having prices changed on me. I will no longer bring any vehicle to this establishment. read more

The gas prices are pretty average but the car wash services are great. They really do a good job and are super friendly. They take all kinds of coupons. They get super busy on the weekends and on nice days so I find the best time to go is during the late or early afternoon on a weekday. The inside is clean and there is some benches to hang out on while you wait for them to finish your car. read more

....is it just me or are all the car washes on the hill getting more and more expensive??? I paid $16.99 for a car wash on Wednesday (which was apparently a deal? I don't see how?) and it wasn't even done that well!!! I don't like writing mean reviews though but still, either step it up on the car washing or fix your prices. After reading some reviews I've come to the conclusion that I must be a sucker. The other day I was transporting lacquer, hit a bump, and it spilled in my trunk. If you've ever had something like this happen you know the smell can linger for days & can make you light headed. This is the last thing you want in your car. So I came here & explained my situation. The guy I spoke to said "I'll make you a deal. $125 full service and we'll shampoo the trunk" not knowing how expensive something like this would be, I foolishly agreed. 2 hours later my car was done & I immediately noticed there was still dried sap & specks of black still caked onto both my bumpers and very thick streak lines on all my windows. Already annoyed at how expensive it was, this didn't help. But here's the worst part: I saw some people tipping cash when they get to their car. Having absolutely no idea how much to tip, I gave the guy whatever cash I had on me (I almost never carry cash so it was lucky I had anything) and he loudly SCOFFED at me. Literally scoffed in my face at the cash I game him, he then turned and walked away from me. Not sure how to even respond to something like this, I got in my car, thinking my keys were inside. They weren't. The same rude guy came back, opened my door and held out my key. I took it and he stormed off again, never saying an actual word. In short: Poor customer service, shoddy work, suspiciously high prices & rude employees. Avoid this car wash. read more

I came here for a car wash paid 24.99 super wash. It is a super waste of money and time! No cars are flowing thru the car wash for 15 mins so I ask the clerk snd she says the guys are at lunch you have to wait until they get back! Really lady? You expect customers to sit around and wait til your workers decide they are done with lunch? It is 10:46am! Got gas? Here's where I go to get mine. It's not the station closest to home but is convenient nonetheless, for these reasons: It's connected to Highridge (hand) Carwash (reviewed separately). They don't run out of paper to print receipts & I never pull up to a pump only to find it out-of-order. Easy to get in, easy out. Fine and fancy cars are often spotted here & that makes me happy. Gas with class. I don't worry about my credit card being tampered with when I swipe it at a pump because there are always attendants on the scene. Did I mention the killer views I enjoy as I'm driving up here, almost to the top of the PV Hill? So yeah, I get my gas on here, where all is safe, clean & well-maintained. It's a gas. Does it help it the location of this gas station is just infront of my house? Of course it does! This review is only for the gas station, I get my smog check and car washes some place else. I like this place because it is never really busy and I hate waiting for someone to finish filling up their gas and to back out their car afterwards. I also really like the fact that Vons and Chevon teamed up on their new promotion: Every 100 points you earn at Vons you gets you 10¢ per gallon in Rewards for a single fill-up at a participating Chevron. Decent price when I compare it to gas prices everywhere: always average price. But what I love about this place is their car wash. The most basic car wash is I believe $11.99 now. They do a good job and I am always happy. If you've left your car out in the sun for months and months without a wash, they may not give it the deep clean you want, but otherwise they do a pretty good job. You never get pushed to upgrade to more expensive washes either. The people here are friendly, straightforward, and efficient. read more

I've been going to this chevron for so long, I've never had any trouble getting gas or getting my car wash done here. Everything is always super quick and the location is very clean. The staff is always very friendly, especially the guy on the cash register, he remembers me and greets me every time I come in. Five Stars for community service and doing the right thing! A person not familiar with the PV area: 1) got lost in the dark - their web maps gave wrong info (not surprising) - and drove around and around the hill - which became the mountain. 2) cell battery almost dead, after repeatedly trying to reach us where there is no cell reception - the "dead-zone" of PV. 3.) ended up at this station and on last battery was able to say at Highridge and Hawthorne. 4.) we called this Chevron and asked if they saw a car parked there, the driver had a dead cell phone and was trying to reach her daughter. 5.) FIVE STARS! The person on staff at this station said yes, she could see the car, and WENT TO THE CAR and told the driver that we were on out way to her! FIVE STARS for that good deed. I've gone here for years for gas and car washes but lately they aren't really cleaning the inside of the car very well. The windows and other surfaces have barely been wiped down and some not at all. They used to be packed on the weekends, you could hardly drive onto the lot but lately I've noticed that it's pretty quiet, on Saturdays at least. Took my car in for a wash and found $20 and expensive prescription glasses missing from my glove compartment. Called to report it anonymously and said I am not looking for repayment especially since I cannot prove anything but instead of saying "we'll look into that and call you back if we find anything" he kept telling me that they never have those problems and I probably misplaced the items myself (except I never remove those items from the car - those are an extra pair of glasses that i purposely leave in the car). Bad answer! Note to self: don't leave anything of value in the car, even stuff you wouldn't think someone would steal and don't expect them to look into it if you lose anything. read more

I took my car to the wash today and after it was done -- it was dirty inside and out. I went back and they washed it again after two consequent wash my car is still dirty. Spoke to the manager and he has a very rude attitude does not care whatsoever about the customer. This wash does not worth $16.99 + tip! Very disappointed in this service and never ever will go back! Great place friendly people, the owner is a cool easy going guy always helpful, the car wash people do a decent job and will wash anything you have boats etc....and do a really good job at it....
