Wow I never thought I'd be seriously reviewing a gas station like this, but I dropped by after an Hmart run and felt very safe getting gas here at night! The price for gas is the same whether you pay cash or credit, and was lower than what I saw in the surrounding area. I even saw this older Korean employee come out to chat with another older Korean businessman getting gas. Good for them. Pump handles and screen buttons are clean and well maintained--they look new! It wasn't open when I was pumping gas but there's also an auto repair shop here. read more

Just dropped of my car again and I just cannot say enough about the service here. Shoji is the best. Best prices, best service, honest and most creative. I've taken all my family cars here and sent friends. I've forwarded a friend who went to the dealer and they quoted her $8,000!! to fix her car, and she went to Shoji and he told her the truth and fixed what needed fixing, and no more. Honestly, in these difficult times it is so nice to know that there is a honest person I can take my car to and he's going to tell me the truth and do the best job. Take you cars here! If you look at the most recent reviews, you have an accurate assessment of the customer service at this Mobile filling station. We in California aren't just punished by the price at the pump, but by a shovel full of attitude from the employees. Take Estella who has been employed here for at least 35 years! I have disabled registration plates and need help pumping gas. Her attitude is every bit as resistant, sour, and insubordinate as these reviews. Your patronage here is, bottom line, inconvenient for her. So don't! I've been trading here exclusively for gas in the last couple of years since the owner Shoji has lowered his gas prices to be very competitive. It's just that I've paid the price on the receiving end of sheer attitude from these attendants. Take the owner, Shojii, who, much to his dismay, not only has to do the service work in the garage, but attend to the snack shop and filling customers at times without Stella, Yesterday, I stopped in for a fill-up to find him on the phone. Just a minute....after five minutes I left. We've all been on the phone for lengthy periods. Today, I requested a fill up to find him similarly resistant. He was very vague about when he could assist me, though he wasn't in the garage and customers weren't waiting. Then I noticed he was eating something. About how long I asked? Same sort of vague grunt and response. I was about to leave when he came out to assist. He lectured me because he said I was being "pushy". I don't need this and you don't either, particularly if you're a non-Asian woman. There's the Shell on the opposite corner and another Exxon a half mile away on Newton and Hawthorne. read more

Even there's more space to the trash bin. I tried to point out there's other trash bins Poor service for customers who are paying for high priced gas. It is a gas station. not too much else i can say about it. I don't live around here, but my friend was in the area and i was drunk and he needed gas. BUT I did have to use the facilities which, when my friend pulled up HERE, I kind of freaked out. Not a huge fan of public restrooms let alone gas stations. yuck. Just stopped by to get some gas and fill my tank. I'm a home health nurse, I work in my car so I usually have one plastic bag of trash (gloves, papers, nurse stuff) that I throw away everyday when I fill up for gas. It's not a gigantic sack of trash. It's a grocery bag. The older woman who's an employee inside came out just to tell me not to do that again and if I want to throw away my trash to go in the back to the dumpster, as if I'm not using a trash can for what its for. TRASH. I apologized nicely and said I'm soooo sorry. It's not that much I promise. She stopped and turned and said no... it's A LOT. Just because you don't want to empty it yourself which I'm sure is part of working at a gas station doesn't mean others need to go out of the way to the dumpster IN THE FCKING BACK while stopping for gas QUICKLY. Rude as f. What's a trash can for if it's not for TRASH?!?!?! And I'm buying gas.... I'm not stopping by to ONLY throw away trash. Went to put gas before work and had some receipts and papers I was going to throw away and was yelled at by the gas station attendant. She said you can't throw that away here do it at your job. Then she came over and started standing my the gas pump watching me so I couldn't even put gas. read more

I'm in complete shock! I've been to this gas station many times as My child goes to school near by. After a morning coffee spill and a need to fuel up for weekend commuting, I decide to clean out my coffee spill and get rid of some excess papers and small pieces of trash out of my car. Then comes out of no where an older Latina Woman with some sort of metal piece in her tooth, shouting at me in front of a new customer that just pulled up behind me to pump gas. I'm only describing her because I don't know he name and I feel she should be mentioned. She says "If I am going to clean my car, then do it somewhere else or in the back" and that I was "In the way and disturbing the customers". The station has been steady with about 2-3 customers (if that) during my 10 minute stay at one of the pumps available. I'm not sure if she thought I was not going to purchase gas, or was someone undeserving of being parked at a pump doing a quick garbage toss and coffee clean before I pump? What are the trash bins for if throwing trash gets me insulted and scolded for using them? I asked her why she was shouting at me and explained I was just cleaning a spill and tossing some garbage but I will no longer purchase gas here ever again. Even being the most convenient gas station in the area for me, not after that! I never write bad yelp reviews but I HAD to write this one. I live in the neighborhood and I came to get gas. After I pumped my gas, I noticed my windows were dirty so I pulled out my windex and wiped down my windows. The gas attendant came out and told me I had to go to a gas pump in the back to do that. I have never heard of such nonsense in my life. There are 20 pumps and there were only two cars there and mine was one of them. I felt it was racially influenced and inappropriate. Who does that. She had no customers and was just sitting in the store. I will never go there again. I hope the owner sees this and makes adjustments in your customer service. No hello or good morning. Just move your car to the back. I'm a middle age man and not a kid to be handled in such behavior. I paid for gas and I shall wipe my windows where I am at the moment if I'm not in the way of other customers. That's what the gas station is for?
