I always like to fill up my baby at Chevron with Techron. No need to use fuel injector cleaner! (Although I do occasionally). I've been coming here for years! I agree with Sharr K and Kristen M, this Chevron gas station seems to be the cheapest in Torrance. I like the fact they don't charge you extra for using your credit card. Some places don't even advertise additional charge until you run your credit card! This place is clean. It's located on the corner of Carson St and Crenshaw Blvd, across the Torrance Fire Station. You can use their window wipers and paper towels while you waiting for your car to fill up. I love their coffee here, it's Seattle's Best Coffee. I usually mix 3 parts bold caffeinated coffee with 1 part french vanilla for under $2. They give you a bonus card for your drink purchases. Buy 5 coffees/beverages and get the 6th one free!! And of course, the staff members are always friendly. Service with a smile here. I wasn't sure I wanted to advertise this gas station because it does get busy. Well, they deserve the kudos here!! This is my gas station. Well, I don't own it or anything, but I'm very loyal and almost always fill up here. Great prices, very clean and overall satisfaction when I'm pumping liquid gold into my gas tank about once a week. Sometimes it can get pretty busy, but that's overlooked by the fact that the prices are *consistently* a lot less than most of the other stations in the area. read more

Usually this station is cheaper than its competitor across the street, but I'll alternate between the two, depending on which direction I'm heading. In addition to my almost biweekly fill-ups, sometimes we pick-up a Lotto ticket or scratcher (usually winning a couple of dollars here & there). The guy manning the register in the afternoons is a total jokester, still likable. =)~ This station does not apply a surcharge for using your cc, & its prices are fairly competitive. Voted Best in the Southbay, I say. This Chevron gas station usually has the best gas prices. Plus, shop at Von's and earn up to $0.20 per gallon. In the morning there is fresh coffee and other items, so you can get it all done with one stop. Plus, the soap water dispenser is changed daily if your windows need cleaning. It's all in the details! I agree with Mike L. - this too is my gas station. I always fill up gas here! Compared to most of the Chevron gas stations around the Torrance area, this is the cheapest! Located on the corner of Carson & Crenshaw Blvd. and across the street from the Torrance Fire Dept. They are also open 24 hours unlike most gas stations. What's so cool about Chevron? They have TECHRON! Beware that since this location is the cheapest Chevron locally (except for Costco, I agree with you Gil K.) It can get pretty busy on the weekend mornings and evenings during rush hour. I recommend bypassing those times so you don't have to wait as much. Yes this location is a bit far from the freeway (about 4 miles), but I'd rather pay a couple cents cheaper than filling up right next to the 110 or 405 freeway gas stations. I'll always be filling up here :) read more

Random review about a gas station, but I just couldn't help myself from spreading the word on the nice guy that works here. I came in real quick to grab a pick me up afternoon snack and the gas attendant greeted me, commented about my snack, and asked me how my day was. He was young and cool, and it was honestly so surprising to have such a nice friendly encounter at a gas station or anywhere now a days... Recently Chevron has sold off most of their gas stations which has resulted in consumers being forced to pay one price for cash/chevron credit card and another price for debit/credit. It's a pain really when you don't have cash on you and are in need of gas. This particular Chevron does not fall under that category. You still get the same price of gas regardless of payment type. The prices are very competitive and its also close by my place of employment which helps when I'm low on gas. The area is well lit and the folks inside the little store are really nice. The one area I don't like is the street its located on. It's on Crenshaw Boulevard and intersects at Carson Street. If you come during peak traffic hours, its really difficult to get out of the station especially if you're trying to go north on Crenshaw. I highly recommend going early morning or late at night. That's helpful two fold in that the gasoline molecules are smaller so you get more bang for your buck. Overall, in the Torrance area this is my favorite station to frequent. read more

Nice gas station that I stop at from time to time to gas up my work vehicle. This Gas Station is located on prime real-estate located on the corner of Carson & Crenshaw. The nice fact about this station is they have a lock on the market in the area and do not try and nickel & dime the customers to death. The pumps here all have those little TV's. I have been fooled more than once thinking another customer was asking me a question. This station is easily accessible from both Carson & Crenshaw. The pumps are situated nicely where traffic leading into the station does not back up traffic on the surrounding streets. The staff working is always seems to be nice and always have a smile on their faces. If in need of washing your windshield down you will find actually soapy clean water and squeegees to do so. This station also has a food mart attached where you can pick-up your basic necessities and play the lottery=) If you simply want to stop by and park your vehicle to walk inside of the food mart several parking spaces are available along the wall. This station even sells Blue Rhino propane tanks and accepts exchange empty tanks for a discounted price. When I am in the area and in need to gas up my work vehicle I will always stop here. read more

This station is what I'd call "Happy Motoring". We don't expect a lot from our filling stations: just get us the gas at the going price and we're off! Assuming you're OK with Chevron gas and it's convenient to stop here, this is the only station in the vicinity that doesn't charge you 10c a gallon more to use your credit card, any credit card! Next, the attendants at this station are customer-oriented and not so caught up with their cell phone or mini-mart business. They greet you with a smile, honor your reasonable requests and serve you in a warm and friendly way until you're on your way. This used to be the norm, but now it's exceptional! Best place to check & fill air for your vehicle... They have a digital scale. It starts with 32 PSI, You set the scale to what your desired PSI is & it will fill IP the tires to that exact amount, max 70 PSI. read more

I had to stop here to put gas one day and noticed that the gas was pretty cheap, I usually pass this gas station up because there is usually a parking lot of cars trying to put gas all at the same time. All in all a clean gas station and really low prices for gas. read more

I started coming here because it was close to work. There was another Chevron slightly closer, but this one had better prices. The people who work here are super nice, too. I always come here for gas. I went in on tuesday morning of oct 15. When i walked in i seen two employess that were getting yelled at by some person that seemed like the manager. They were both crying. Cant believe this is how the managers treat there employees and they yell at them in front of customers. I know these employees because like i said i always go in. Jessica and Guadlupe didnt deserved to be treated like that. I asked them who the person was they said his name was jaime. He shouldnt be treating them that way and i believe they need to look into him and possibly demote him because regardless of whatever you dont treat people like that. Now that i go in I dont see either one of them. I will not be going here because they dont work there anymore. They treated customers with respect and were so friendly. Sad to say two people were let go because of bad management. Very upset with Jaime and how he was acting that day!!!! read more

My car battery discharged after I pumped gas so I notifed the gas attendant that I will occupy a gas pump until the arrival of the roadside assistance. I was surprised how accomodating the gas attendant was where he offered me water and to wait inside the airconditiioned cashier area so I won't feel hot outside waiting for roadside assistance. I regularly pump gas here so I may say all the attendants are courteous and polite. Their customer service is impeccable. They work as if they are on a commission basis. For all I know , they probably are ! I was so relaxed waiting that I did not notice the arrival of the roadside service truck. The wait went by so quick. On top of that I would like to mention how clean the women's restroom was. I can see why this station has a steady stream of customers. Keep up the good work and more power to you! read more

Never did I this would review something as simple as a gas station, especially since I always just pay at the pump. But as my fiancé was pumping gas I went in to ask for a restroom key, I was terrified about what it might look like in there but we had both drank a ton of water and had to go. The attendant so to go on in that he controlled he locks from behind the counter. This restroom was spotless!!! It even smelled good! Way to go chevron! This was impressive! Washed my hands and found my fiancé was already in the little store looking for some snacks and something to drink so I joined him. While wandering around picking stuff out the attendant overheard that we were discussing being a little down about a car deal not working out and he actually bothered to ask what kind of car and give us some advise on trade ins. He was very friendly and a breath of fresh air from the usual grumpy boring gas station attendants you encounter. Wish I would have caught his name to include it! But either way, good job Chevron on Carson and Crenshaw!!! Keep it up!! read more
