Why the hate?! On my way to this particular Arco I had my gas needle under the last bar so $4.15 a gallon was looking pretty acceptable to me, except that I had no money so I had to go forgo this acceptable price. Then after obtaining some money I was going to pump at yet another station at $4.03 but my dad steered me over to this particular Arco on Crenshaw for $3.95 a gallon (cheapest quality - gasoline is gasoline). You can't complain about the price. It's always the lowest: like Costco without the lines. The lady helping me at the counter was quick and mild mannered. All the elderly pumping gas at this station were decent drivers. Oddly, not too many youngsters at this station. At least not at noon on a Monday. read more

This location offers one of the lowest prices on BP gas and the lines are never long. Convenient access but make sure you enter from the correct side as the pumps do not reach far enough to get to the other side of your vehicle, if needed. I get excellent mileage vs Costco gas for some reason so I am inclined to purchase here whenever possible. Shell imho has the best gas but even with a credit card rewards program is still much more expensive than ARCO. The main drawback of ARCO is cash or debit only with a 35 cent surcharge which is nothing when you spend over $50 on a fill up. Recommend for ease of access, price per gallon and location. read more

Cheapest Gas Around Yet Horrible Customer Service. Had stopped to get change out to pump gas I was parked less than 5 minutes. Someone was lazy enough to go around to the other pump nxt to where I was parked so they honked at me. I paid no attention until they had gone around to park in the pump next to me and still go out of there way and tell the cashier that they assumed I was not pumping gas just sitting in the car. Less than a 2 min later I get a knock on my window with the cashier stating the following. " I have alot of work on my hands and if your not pumping gas I need you to leave" . This is one of the most inconvenient and dirty ARCOs I have been to. It's small as well. Perhaps the most frustrating aspect is that while I was filling up gas, I asked the clerk if I could use the restroom. He told me they didn't have a restroom and said I should use the Chevron across the street. As I walked out behind the building, there was a locked public restroom right behind the office. Worst Customer Service. On September 15, 2021, I paid $57.00 on pump number 7. I was preoccupied and I forgot to choose the gas type. since I was cleaning my windshield, I did not pay attention to see whether gas is being pumped or not. I looked at the pump and I saw $57.00 on the display. I put the nozzle back on the pump and I drove away. After a couple of miles, I notice that my gas thank is still empty. I went back to the gas station and explained to the attendant, Abdul, what had happened. And I asked him to come at look at my car which was displaying an empty tank alarm. He refused to do so and instead called me a cheater and a liar. I called the Gas station owner, Vinod, and I explained everything. He called me back a couple of hours later stating that another customer used my $57.00 pumped gas in his car and got $18.49 in change back. I asked him how the next person knew that there was $57.00 credit on that pump. He could not answer this question. He was very rude and told me that since it was my mistake he could not do anything. I have been going to this gas station for the past 9 year. This is the worst customer service by an owner of a business. I will not go there anymore. read more

Cashier got really snotty when I had trouble using their defective air pump. The air pump nozzle wouldn't seal against the tire's valve stem (any of my four tires), and when I asked her to reset the pump timer a second time, she started lecturing me on how expensive air was and how I should pay the $0.75 for each reset. I've been going to this Arco for many years. There was one incident that really ticked me off that I still think about till this day. I had scheduled an appointment for an oil change at 2:30pm on my day off. I was excited that I was finally getting it done (since it had been awhile). However, when I showed up one of the workers asked what I was here for. I told him that I had an appointment at 2:30pm for an oil change. He looked flustered and told me..."It's going to be 2 hours. Can you leave and come back?" Uhhhhhh.....hell no! I just drove 15-20 min out of my way for a SCHEDULED appointment!!! UGH! Clearly they were busy, but they should have said that to me while I was making the appointment OR rescheduled their "walk-ins". Anyway, I took my business elswhere....and I'm happy to say Jiffy Lube is amazing for all of my car's oil changes. Not the best gas station I've been to. But it was conveniently located during my travels around town and I needed the gas. It took a long time to wait for an open pump. Someone cut in front of me even though I was almost right in front of it. The customers here are rude. Then it took me a while since that customer took so long to start pumping. I agree with the the other yelper. Yes, this is not a very good Arco and I have used Arco many times. Not recommended. Yes, it's cheap but not great service. read more

If you care about great service overall and a decent food mart, go across the street to Lingley Chevron. This review is for the RUDE employee who was working on June 14, 2022 at 3:57 P.M. The sour Hispanic male. I filled up my tank and cleaned my front window. Someone pulled up behind me, so I completed my transaction (all done at the pump), then pulled forward to make room for the next customer. There was no one behind that car. I proceeded to clean my back window and as I finished, the RUDE one approached me and said, "This is not a car wash, just pump your gas and leave!" He even waved his arm at me in a very dismissive manner. I was SHOCKED to say the least. I just spent $100.00 to fill my tank (I guess we all do nowadays), I was not holding up a line of cars. I clean my windows the exact same way every time I visit and no one ever complains. And, no I wasn't "washing my car." I didn't touch my other four windows, doors, hood, etc... LOL! I'm the nicest, easiest female. I am very courteous because I know how hard it is to work with the public. I did make one mistake, though. I went in the afternoon, instead of the morning shift. Convenient location, but there's something with their hoses, as I have continual problems with the pump shutting off before my tank is full. This happens at different pumps. Also, their air inflation valve is worn out. I do not have this problem with the hose at other Arcos. read more

Hey . . . Whatta ya want? It's a gas station. Not much to rate here. It's pretty much the norm when it comes to gas stations. My wife (who shall remain nameless) likes to come here to gas up when we're in the area because the prices are usually lower than most other places. And that held true today. I know because I checked in on GasBuddy. Can't say I've ever had any dealings with anybody there. Every time I've stopped, I've gone to the machine and fed it my money. It never spit my money back out onto the ground. I put the nozzle into my car and after selecting my grade, the gas pumped into my tank. Going back to the machine, I've gotten a receipt when I've wanted one. I can't complain. I got everything I went in for with no problems and no hassle. That would make it a 3-star minimum. And with the low prices added in I have to go for a 4-star rating. Now if an attendant came out and washed the windows and checked under the hood, that would be a . . . flashback. read more

My loaner car auto-locked while I was pumping gas tonight. I pleaded with the guy behind the counter who has just accepted by credit card a few min ago to please help me but he refused and went on to say that the repair section is too busy also. This Arco is a AAA repair station but they refused to help me make that free call to AAA. I explained my situation to 2 guys in repair, one of them the owner, I'm guessing, but they ignored and went on their business after mentioning that they might be able to help me for a fee. I waited patiently, giving them pleading stares to no result and walked across the street to the Chevron station where they were most considerate and willing to help me. I had to borrow the guys cell twice to call AAA because I had waited in the dark and cold for over an hour and they didn't show. Meanwhile, the immigrant guys at Arco came by after an hour of watching me standing outside to ask if I'm having someone come to move my car. Unbelieveable! I am soooo sorry I ever pumped at an Arco station. If it was my own car, I would've gone to Chevron but I made the biggest mistake of opting for a little cheaper gas since it is a loaner. If you are an Arco customer, DO NOT GO HERE! They are rude, inconsiderate and jerks that will not help a woman at night who is stranded in need of assistance. Many times I have to move my car to 3-4 different pumps before it starts working. The staff is there is always rude and disrespectful whenever I ask for help. Came here for smog check, waited over 2hours even though there was only one car ahead of me getting tested. The Mechanic doing the test is fat and lazy and kept sitting down taking breaks. Then when they were done with the car ahead of me, they pulled up another van and tested it first...after I complained to the boss he said the guy was here first when he clearly came after I had been here for 45min waiting! My car is older so they needed to run two tests but they took the van ahead of me since it only needed one test but that took them 45min to do! So my car sat parked with them doing nothing to it while I waited 45min for them to finish testing the van! This place has bad service and the boss here is rude. read more

The service at this Arco is poor. The service clerks are dishonest. They are not concerned about customer's experience. If something happens at their establishment, it is your fault as the customer because you are not attentive. They do not talk politely. The manager of the station of the same caliber. He is not concerned about the customer. I would not get my car serviced at this station. I would be aware of the rudness if you consider getting gas here and very very careful if you are getting your car serviced here because you do not know if they are being honest. read more
