He even hopped over the hose connecting to my car to get closer to me and pretended to be inspecting the machine. When I asked what he was checking for, he said he was checking for graffiti. Fine, but while a customer is using the machine? I then had to tell, "Can you give me some space while I unplug my car?" Whether he was really just doing his job or not, have the decency to give women space while they're pumping gas. I was very uncomfortable, and when I tried to call to make a complaint to the manager, I found out their number is disconnected. Better yet, don't come here.

I agree with Sharr K and Kristen M, this Chevron gas station seems to be the cheapest in Torrance. I like the fact they don't charge you extra for using your credit card. Some places don't even advertise additional charge until you run your credit card! This place is clean. It's located on the corner of Carson St and Crenshaw Blvd, across the Torrance Fire Station. You can use their window wipers and paper towels while you waiting for your car to fill up. I love their coffee here, it's Seattle's Best Coffee. I usually mix 3 parts bold caffeinated coffee with 1 part french vanilla for under $2. They give you a bonus card for your drink purchases. Buy 5 coffees/beverages and get the 6th one free!! And of course, the staff members are always friendly. Service with a smile here. I wasn't sure I wanted to advertise this gas station because it does get busy. Well, they deserve the kudos here!! Where I use to religiously fill my tank with the '91 octane because of their awesome prices and elimination of adding fuel injection cleaner. Well, over the past several weeks, I've noticed the prices here...it's more than 10 cents cheaper per gallon!! Yes, you heard me right! They offer two prices depending if you're paying with cash or credit card (about 5 cents difference). I'm amazed that I'm still saving about 10 cents per gallon using my credit card here! There is a 7-11 convenience store at this gas station and guess what? You get a free small or medium coffee or Big Gulp with 5+ gallons of gas purchased! The coffee's pretty decent. There was only one time one of the many flavors they offered came out gritty. They actually remade it for me. The donuts were good and start at 99 cents, sometimes discounted to 50 cents. They offer a $2.50 deal which includes 2 slices of pizzas and a Super Big Gulp. The pizza is equivalent to the dense frozen pizza you get from a grocery store. It sits under a heat lamp so don't expect much. There are many choices of bevies to choose from, including Horchata and Jamaica! YUMMM! Well, I've had better Horchata but I'm definitely not going to pass up a "free with gas purchase" deal! Jamaica's the next one to try! So far, this small gas station isn't crowded but I'm sure it won't be long before the rest of my neighbors realizes what a great deal they got going on. One (1), but possibly five (5), nicely-dressed attendants in uniforms, filling your gas tank for you, washes your windows, fills your tires, lifts the hood and checks your oil -- THAT is VINTAGE. 2) Filling up your tank FIRST, then paying -- THAT is VINTAGE. 3) the pumps are the old dial-type numbers, not digital, scrolling higher and higher. Wanting to put $10.00 making it VERY tough to get it exactly to $10.00; $9.98 or $10.01 or $10.02 is much easier -- THAT is VINTAGE. 4) A site that has tons of VINTAGE gas pumps (http://www.vintagegas.com). OLD IS...this place: buttons are worn off, residue is left from old stickers, and nearly breaking your finger pressing down on the keypad just to get the digits to work for my debit pin. That's just plain old fuel pumps peeps! When there are dozens of other choices fill up your tank, why would I come here? Why would you? My wife attempted to use the restroom at the Shell Station at the above location and was told that the restroom was out of service! We had just left the 405 South Freeway, after locating a Shell Station with a bathroom on the internet. Her need for a restroom was extremely urgent and she begged the attendant to allow her to use the restroom. He refused and suggested that she go to the restroom next door the "Starbucks Drive Through", which was the only other business in the area with the possibility of having a restroom. Unfortunately, after checking the Starbucks next door, she was informed that they did not even have a restroom at all, so she returned to the Shell Station Attendant to let him know that they did not have a restroom. After filling my car with gas, I plead with the Shell Attendant to allow her to use the out of service restroom, and he refused! Subsequent to my interaction with the Shell Attendant, my wife was forced to go behind the Shell Station to relieve herself, at no small amount of embarrassment to herself! The attitude of the Shell Attendant was callous, unempathetic and appeared to enjoy the suffering of my wife in this circumstance. We were not freeloaders wanting to use the restroom without paying for gas or other items available to purchase, instead we were customers. I would like to be contacted regarding this incident as it beneath the expectation of the Shell Corporation and its franchisees. Expected Resolution?
