I'm unemployed and from San Diego. For over two years I've been looking for gameful employment but…read morethe situation there is bad. In December of 2012 I was invited to interview with a company in Half Moon Bay called Northern Energy, (now run by Amerigas). The day of the interview I was offered the job. I spent the next month doing background and pre-employment screening. After this was complete I was given the green light to relocate to the bay area. After completing my physical and some more paperwork I was given a start day of Feb 4th. On January 31st I received a call from the company manager that they had decided not to fill the position. What a life changing event due to the fact the company knew I was relocating from San Diego before making the job offer. Now I'm unemployed, 500 miles from home, and with no money to eat or live on. Not even gas money to get home and I'm days away from living in my car. The whole month of January I was told by Roman, the company manager, "Don't worry" "Hang in there, it won't be long". Then I was totally left hanging. I just thought the community should know the type of business practices administered by this company. You don't do this to people!!! I just think everyone should know. Do you really want to do business with a company that would treat a person like this? Sincerely, Fred

Half our neighborhood is totally f'd right now with no propane. Customer support knows nothing, Autofill is an epic fail. I would advise anyone considering AmeriGas to go WELL out of their way to find any other service.

I've used Palo Alto…read moreAuto Care on three different occasions -- replacing a broken light, installing a new car battery, and repairing the air conditioning in our Mercedes. I originally found the shop randomly on Yelp, and I've been extremely happy with their service ever since. They are honest, knowledgeable, and thorough. I especially appreciate that Arif takes the time to explain everything in detail. They originally estimated about $900 to repair my air conditioning, but after 24 hours and inspecting the car more carefully, they found a much simpler fix and the final cost was only $300. They even returned the unnecessary parts they had purchased so I wouldn't be charged for them. I'm very happy to support this respectable local business.

They took the time to properly diagnose the problem, clearly explained what needed to be done, and kept me informed throughout the process. The pricing was fair and transparent, and I never felt pressured into unnecessary repairs. It's not always easy to find a mechanic you can truly trust, but based on my experience, this is a shop I would feel comfortable coming back to and recommending to my family and friends. Professional, knowledgeable, honest, and respectful. I hope this review helps others who are looking for a trustworthy mechanic.
