Rude. Untrained. Useless. On 08/09/25 at around 10:15 AM, at Chevron 501 E Glenoaks Blvd, Glendale, I tried to use my big rewards discount. The pump was extremely slow, then stopped completely. Attendant Ahmed shrugged, said "try another pump," and walked away. My discount was lost. When I asked for help, he said, "I can't do anything." I was in a blue Honda. Very rude and bad employees here. That is why I like to use my credit cards to where I do not even have to make contact with these people. Instead, their piece of crap service machines were out of order to use my card. So I walk inside and this employee act like he did not want to fix the problem, so I gave him the finger, and went to another station. Avoid coming to this Chevron at all cost. read more

I stopped here a lil while ago. It's not out on the main thoroughfare and so this station wasn't busy at all. The grounds are clean. The pumps were all working. There was no waiting at the pumps. It was an easy in and out. read more

Owner Fred who held lordly court over this Chevron station for many years has retired! Long live Fred: who is probably with all of the money he made here via his bumping up the gas prices at least a dollar over those stations around him for a lot of years...say 25? The new owners are now competitive and are ready to fight for their right for a percentage of the local gasoline business. With my access to a Vons/Chevron account as well as a new Chevron credit card , this station is now very competitive. And it is about time! With both the credit card discount and the Vons discount i could buy gas at a per gallon price of 2.99 gal just a week ago. I more than realize that the price of gas goes up and it goes down but no matter: you could count on Freddy boy raising his prices by at least a dollar. And you know what? People came and paid whatever prices Freddy posted. I can't comment about service because in this year of our Lord of 2020 none is expected. And don't get me started about those times when a service station meant just that: dudes pumping your gas, wiping your windshield clean, checking your tire pressure. Those days are over! Face the reality. All we have to look forward to now is lower prices and good coffee and smart snacks. They do have a snack bar here and a guy taking money and answering questions but who is of little help should there be any issues. I mean how does one do this when his work space is cloaked in a huge plastic curtain? I get it in a way: we are in the middle of a Pandemic. he needs to protect himself. My family and I were loyal customers to this place until this morning. I'll never go back there again. Something was malfunctioning with the gas pump, I never pulled the pump trigger and I never selected a type of gas and yet when I looked up I had been charged two dollars and some change for the most expensive gas that was somehow selected. When I went inside to explain my confusion, and ask if perhaps they were out of the gas I wanted, the guy threw his hands up in the air and literally said wow that is a mystery to me I don't know what to do. And he proceeded to tell me that I probably pulled the trigger and pushed the button. I asked him if he really thought I was there to steal two dollars of gas. Again he put his hands up in the air and said I don't know. Life is too short and commutes are too long to bother with stubborn and unfriendly gas station attendants who prefer to play dumb instead of attempting to be moderately helpful. My family bought all their gas and propane here too. Bummer. I guess, pump at your own risk. Any malfunctioning equipment is going to be your fault. read more

I wanted to update my review because I stopped by before work to pump gas the other day and I've got to say...the store to this gas station is quite literally the nicest, cleanest, classiest one I've ever step foot on. From the clean hardwood flooring to the organized sections for food and other goods...to the incredibly polite customer service by the young gentleman who helped me, I was very impressed and felt inclined to leave another review. I slipped on an oil stain while I stopped to get gas for my motorcycle.I hurt my back and scratched my bike. I asked to speak to the manager, they claimed he wasn't there. I found out minutes later that he actually was there and I had been lied to. After speaking to the owner, Fred, and asking him to clean the oil stain so no one else get hurt, he got really defensive. He said something along the lines of, you found the one spot that's not clean, insinuating that it was somehow my fault. He became very rude and claimed the damage to my bike could have happened anywhere and that i couldn't prove it. During our conversation I had noticed they had 3 camera pointed at pump 5, where I slipped, and asked if we could see the footage, that way he could see that I was telling the truth, he refused and said he had no time. I was being reasonable with him, but his lack of care made me really upset. The safety of his customer should be a top priority. He simply doesn't care about his customers, and I think people in the neighborhood should be aware. read more

Fred is a great and honest mechanic, i took my dad's van that he left me when he passed away after he died and the Ford Van was in really bad shape. It didn't even run it had to be towed to my home when i got it. I took it to Fred and by the time he finished working on the transmission, brakes, new tires, radiator, i can't remember how many other things were wrong with it he told me all of it was only going to come out to $850. I was in shock and so relieved because my stepmother's son had abused this van and now i had to completely restore it so i could drive it again. I live one block from Fred's Chevron. He always has the highest price gas in the area. I am handicapped and he is supposed to fill my tank for me at self serv prices, but what an attitude. Even air and water costs a fortune. Sorry Fred going somewhere else. read more

Fred has been my family mechanic for years. He does great and trustworthy work. I moved out of the area and if I have any car problems, my Dad will still call him to get advice on what to do. Fred is always happy to help and has taken really good care of my family's cars over the years. Over the years, I have had Fred replace lights, my front bumper, brake pads, coils and he has done work on my transmission. I highly recommend Fred's for any work you need done on your car. read more

The reviews here about gas prices are silly as you can go to Arco. However, it is the best place EVER for mechanical work. I'm a long time, multiple car customer and I am grateful to have a mechanic that is so reliable. I am well taken care of and it is a relief to know what ever the problem, it will be diagnosed, taken care of, and stood behind. Beyond that Fred runs the cleanest garage and convenience store. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Faulty PUMPS! Came here to fill up tank and quickly noticed a problem with the pump and meter. The pump didn't start flowing until after .75 cents. I flagged down the attendent, who didn't understand, so i asked for the owner or a manager. The owner came out and greeted me with "what do you want?". Nice. I explained that I believed there was a problem with the pump and that the meter was running but didn't start flowing gas until almost a dollar was reached. He immediately accused me of scamming him. He told me people were ALWAYS telling him there was a problem. I thought, well maybe you should listen. I didn't want my .75 cents back, just some assurance that it would be investigated and looked into. The owner was incapable of doing this. He sounded very jaded and didn't seem to care. There are plenty of gas stations, drive another block and STEER CLEAR of this one~! read more

The worst mechanic ever. The following is my horrific experience with him. The check engine light came on in my car so I took it to this mechanic. He supposedly fixed the problem and charged me $200 . Two days later the check engine light came on again.I went back and complained.He was so rude and his son started screaming at me using profanities (I am a female).He said that I have to pay him again in order for him to fix the problem. I left and went to the Toyota dealer. They charged me $180 and fixed the problem. I Will not recommend this mechanic even to my worst enemy. read more

I Am so upset at this gas station that I decided to leave a review. I went to fill up gas in the morning. I noticed that the meter was running but there was no gas filling into my car. The meter went up to 2.75. Then I saw the worker and told him that therebis a problem with the pump. He started to yell at me. Then he comes and tell me that my car is the problem not the tank. Then I told him that there was no noise of gas running through the pipe that fills up gas. Just the meter running. He accused me of lying and told me I'm trying to steal from them. Be careful of these people. They are rude and have no customer service skills and they steal from customers. read more
