He promised oil change only 20 minutes and done just right on time! I would come back again for service next time and would suggest my friends to come! Stopped by for a smog test, $609.00 dollars later I got out. These guys are good and pretty friendly, but if you get in there and need work, it's at 90 bucks an hour plus markup on parts. The go to the "book" for work time too. The left my car on the lift for 4 hours because the "book" said the job should take that long, in reality, they probably only spent less than an hour actually working on it. I'm serious... I don't know why they have gotten less than excellent reviews. I have lived in the general area since 1973. I've been taking my vehicles here for repair and service for over 20 years. My vehicles have ranged from a vintage car, SUV, pickup truck, and a Prius that I bought in 2005 and has 245,000 miles clocked on it. I've had excellent service and as pricing goes they are in the ball park. No service is sold to me unless it is absolutely necessary. We came to get our propane filled, Dhillon helped us and he was very nice. The Chevron was very busy with lots of customers, and even though Dhillon was the only one working there he did a great job helping everyone. There was even a girl who came to get her tire pressure filled and he was very willing to help her too. We will definitely be coming back here. This is what used to be the 76 station for the longest time. ( The one that had the spinning ball. ) 5 stars for being able to fill the propane tanks here. (One of the few places in San Jose that will). But minus 3 stars for service. HORRIBLE customer service!!! I went to fill my tank and it asked me if it was a ATM. I mistook it as asking if it was debit. So I hit yes. I realized my mistake and tried to cancel. The pump wouldn't let me cancel to start over so I had to go inside. (The pump told me I had to go inside for ATM) I told the man at the counter that I didn't want to do ATM and I wanted to cancel and start again. (Use my card outside) But he wouldn't listen to me and kept asking how much I wanted in the tank. I kept telling him I didn't want to do ATM . (I told him this 5+ times) but again he only asked me how much I wanted. He simply would not cancel and let me start over or or say anything anything besides "how much do you want?!" In a gruff annoyed tone. I finally gave in and gave him a number and LOW AND BEHOLD that was the ONLY thing he listened to from me. I found this to be really really rude. I still don't know if their pump takes debit or not. I realize this isn't every person who works here.(I'm sure everyone else is awesome) But beware of one of the rude guys that runs the cash register inside. read more

I have done 90k service here twice now. Both times Alex and his team have done good honest work. They honor their coupons from monthly mailers or online and provide a list of additional work that may be needed. While it is tough shelling out more than $2000, I know both of my cars are running properly and for a reasonable price. They are competitive with yourmechanic.com as well as any other local shops. I do need to pop in and have my ODB warning light reset. Lastly and it is a big deal, they accept all major credit cards, that is huge in today's card world. Thanks Hamilton Chevron. read more

May also look to have them do my oil changes in the future since their advertised rate is pretty reasonable and the service I received this week was very courteous. read more

I came here to check the engine light of my Mercury Sable. They said it was the spark plugs/wires, (their prices are excessive 3 hours of work to change spark plugs!) After they replaced them, it didn't fixed the engine check light since it turned again the next week. I came back and they were not sure what it was (they said may be the coils or the valves). I had my denali towed to this garage after it died on me while driving. Hubby and a couple of others had said it was probably the fuel pump that had gone on it. I called around a few shops for estimates and this shop was very reasonable with pricing hence why i took it there. I dealt with Alex. Super nice guy!! Very professional and friendly. He explained everything to me from diagnostic testing to the kind of parts my SUV would need based on the results. Of course i looked online to compare part prices and he wasn't gouging me lol turned out it was the fuel pump. I asked him to also check the fuel filter and he said that was in great shape so wouldn't need a new one. (I had actually had that changed a few months ago anywaywhen i had the fuel injection system cleaned) so glad he was honest. They had to keep it overnight due to the time i had had it towed there but i was able to pick it up by 11am the next day completely fixed and they even gave it a quick check of fluids etc.. Very happy with this garage and would go back even though it was quite a distance away from me. Quality replacement parts and honest work is a plus for me :) read more

Zero star. Don't be fooled by their false saving ads going around. These guys can rip you off by getting you to their shop via their local ads, then over charge you. The oil change on my car was due, but at the same time, I had some oil leak in my car. So i thought i can talk to them about leak first and then maybe an oil change if the leak wasn't too bad. When i got there and prior to any oil change, i told them to check the engine for any oil leaks and let me know the status first. They said fine and told me to wait. I waited for about 15 minutes, but no one came to me with any info. I then went in to their shop and didn't find the guy who wrote me in, so i asked the mechanic where the guy was and he said he went somewhere! I asked the mechanic about the oil leaking.He said yah your car has an oil leak from the top and it's hard to tell --didn't show me where the leak was coming from though. Then i asked him i hope you didn't change the oil, and he said he did!!!! I was pissed off for i didn't want to change the oil then but was too late anyways. I paid close to $70 for nothing because oil was still leaking out of the car. So if you go to their repair shop, you'll take your chance with them. read more

I wish I could give negative review if doable. Overall, I had a TERRIBLE experience of car repair and plan to file consumer lawsuit to this place. I came 4 times within one month to check engine light. they did diagnosis and told me need to replace some part. I spent $360 to fix my car as being told, diagnosis charge ($120) and labor and parts ($240) in the hope that my car gets working well. However one week later, the light turned on again. I backed to the same place, they told I need to do another diagnosis and if it shows a different code for something else, I need to pay again. I questioned them why they couldn't figure out the root cause at first time. They said it may be caused by something else, but couldn't identify what it is. Few weeks later, my car is completely down because of spark plug and wire issue. They asked me to go through same examination and repair cycle for total ~$500. At this time, I can't trust them any more as I have backed and forth to them 4 times for same problem in ONE month ! And it totally cost me over $800 already. Apparently, they are NOT professional to do their job in technique and ethics. Very BAD SERVICE EVER ! read more
