Started out my morning commute yesterday with a low tire pressure warning light, appearing on the dashboard. Was fortunate to be near Hamilton Chevron, so I pulled in to check tire pressure and found a tire going flat. The mechanic was able to assess the tire right away, without an appointment and found what turned out to be a 1-inch screw, embedded in the tread. The patch service was very reasonably priced and quick, they had me back on the road in about 30 minutes. Thank you for saving the day! read more

Came here this morning for an oil change. While checking the car, they found the brake pads were worn out and so was the front tire so they suggested a tire rotation and new brake pads. This was while the car was on the lift so I could see and verify all the recommendations. They took out my car filter and showed it to me so I was convinced it needed to be replaced. Unclear with pricing, sounded great at first but turns out diagnostic, smog, and repair were three separate charges not one all inclusive price as originally quoted. Had issue that required multiple visits to diagnose / repair, with multiple charges each time. Supposed repair still causes problems and to avoid getting overcharged I am going elsewhere Probably a good shop for simple repairs, just not major or difficult issues read more

Ok, I don't know if most people just ignore the propane refill cost, but these guys are ripping people off. I just got my tank filled here, and they charged me for a full tank, instead of by the gallon like they advertise. My tank wasn't empty, so they charged me for more propane than what was provided. When I asked about the price, the old guy got a little uncomfortable and said they charge for a full tank if only filling one tank, and charge by the gallon if filling two or more tanks. This is a SCAM! It's MORE expensive here than doing an exchange somewhere else! read more

AVOID THIS PLACE!! DISHONEST BUSINESS!! I had a smog check here and my car failed the test. I paid them the smog check fee in full. I then had my car repaired and brought it back for a recheck within 10 days. They refused to recheck it for free even though CA law says you can a free check within 90 days if you failed and had the car repaired. Don't risk this situation. read more

I got a flat tire and pulled into the Chevron to wait for a tow truck but Dhillon said "why pay for a tow truck, we can put your spare tire on for $10 and drive your car to the shop instead". So they helped in putting my spare tire and thanks to Dhillon I saved myself some money. Today I stopped by to see if they could help me put air in one of my tires and Dhillon happen to be there which was so kind enough to assist me with that. I will always be thankful for their kindness. My vehicle is still under warranty but if it weren't I would highly trust taking my vehicle to them for any car issues. read more

I can't give 0 stars so I have to give it 1. Place is a Dump w/people who hate their lives but more importantly hate any customers that come in. Had an oil change done and less than 3 months my engine seized. Towed the car to my local mechanic and the meat head who tried doing the oil change did the job half ass. Oil gasket wasn't flush with the new filter so oil was constantly leaking. You pay for what you get and lost 100,000 miles that my 03 Silverado should have gotten only lasted 114k miles. First and foremost, these gentlemen are so friendly and they know what they are doing. I needed quite a few things done and as the work went, they found some other things that needed repairs. They were upfront about everything they did. They treated me with respect and even gave me a water while I waited for my ride to pick me up. When my vehicle was finished, they called, and not 10 minutes later, I had a knock on my door and Santana brought my vehicle to me. What a gentlemen, right? It saved me a lot of time and money and I can't even begin to tell you how much it meant. Although my repairs were costly and I will be catching up for months to come, I wouldn't take my truck to anyone else. Honesty goes a long way and I have the utmost respect and admiration for the wonderful staff here. By the way, this is the 3rd time I've used this mechanic and each time I have been completely satisfied with their work. Also, I'm a little savvy as far as repairs and what not, they listened to my concerns. They didn't disrespect me. I add this because I have been laughed at before and told I know nothing about cars because of my gender (this is from 6 years ago at a auto shop on Winchester). i came here to put gas and to get a drink with my mother my mother was on ft with my sisters baby and when we go to pay he tells her to get off the phone and we say we not recording you its ft and he continues to be rude so my moms walks out and i try to finish and pay for the drink and he refused me service for no reason at all. I lived down the street and thought I could get good service from my neighbor Chevron station. My truck needed a new engine after 179k. Alex, the service manager, ordered a long box, which comes with some additional equipment. When he quoted me the repair, he said the engine was a short box, so there were extra costs for the parts not included, along with extra service charges. I called the engine company and they confirmed the engine that was ordered was a long box. They agreed to ship my new engine to another repair shop. I had my truck towed to the second service station to finish the job. read more

I went there for a smog check. It failed because of leaking hoses, which I witnessed. They were replaced. At the same time I had my parking brake replaced, cause the old one was broken. My car overheated on my way home from work and I limped into this station. Dillon was there and helped me for a good 45 minutes to fix a radiator/heater hose that had come unattached, all while keeping up with other customers. Be aware! I stopped at this gas station on 4/17/2015 for gas and oil change. The oil change was $19.99 forup to 4 quarts. I know most places advertise cheap oil changes to draw you in so they can find what is "wrong with your car" and make an "extra" buck. This very well would have been the case. I was told that my breaks were "out" and I need to replaced the brake pads and rotors. According to the "mechanic" the brake pads were touching metal to metal with the rotors. The cost $295.00 plus parts. I know the metal tab on the brake pads just started squeaking two days ago, so I knew the brake pads needed to be replace. I told the "mechanic" to just change the oil, I will do my own work. I spent Saturday working on my car. The brake pads needed to be replace, but not the rotors. Be careful with this shop. read more

My battery died and was stranded on Hamilton. Luckily this place was there and had my basize. They just had the shipment the day before. They were really nice and didn't treat me any different than if a real repair was needed. I picked it up and was on my way. This is a STAR REPAIR & TEST STATION! I was so happy to find such a reputable auto repair shop. They must have dozens and dozens of STAR TEST ONLY facilities. There are very few STAR REPAIR STATIONS. I had to go to a Certified Star Smog Station for my bi-annual smog check. My check engine light was on as well. That's an automatic fail for any smog test. I have an older car--1995. It uses the OBD 1 system. It's quite difficult finding a mechanic who can figure out the system's codes quickly and accurately. My car was diagnosed with a bad oxygen sensor. Luckily, this Chevron had one in stock. The bad sensor was quickly replaced and I passed my smog test with flying colors! read more

He promised oil change only 20 minutes and done just right on time! I would come back again for service next time and would suggest my friends to come!
