Batting .500 is great in baseball, not so much when it comes to availability of sale items. Go here only if you enjoy wasting gasoline on the wasted trip. If this was a one time thing, I wouldn't be sniveling, but I don't think that I'm exaggerating when I say you have about a 50/50 chance on getting what you came for. Check your store receipt before leaving the store. When you do find a discrepancy, be sure to learn to enjoy the stink-eye you receive from a disgruntled employee, because you screwed up on the intentionally confusing store app. "Sir, did you do the Hokey Pokey? Did you turn yourself around? "

Self checkout never has grocery bags but the computer requires an attendant to verify that you did not use a bag.

This store has no respect for their customers. They literally have fencing to corral cattle... I mean customers. There are no baskets in the store. There are no bags at self checkout, even though the computer requires an attendant to verify that you didn't use a bag! What bags?! What attendant? I had to walk away and get in line at a register.

    Number cake with Pokémon theme

A big thank you to Kristine for making such an amazing cake! I ordered a number cake with pokemon theme and gave her the toys and she came up with all the details. I mean look at those macarons with thunderbolt and pokeball. It is definitely a highlight on my daughter's birthday.

I got the birthday cake for my son's birthday. I originally was going to order a regular white cake from Safeway and decorate it myself. Fortunately I checked out lucky bakery when I was running errands around the area. Katrina, the cake decorator, was amazing. She kindly walked over when she saw I was looking around and suggested many ideas of how to decorate the cake after I told her about my theme. She's confident and creative so I trusted her and placed the order. I paid merely $50 for a 10" cake and 24 cupcakes. My friends couldn't believe I got the cake from lucky. The cake was exactly what I wanted and the cupcakes matched the cake as well. I will come back for my future orders

This Lucky's Bakery makes the best cake decorations. $29 for this 2 tier cake. I added my own 3-REX cake topper and Dino/Mickey toys.

Katrina is an amazing baker and I'm so lucky she's at Lucky's. It's a convention location and very affordable for a kids birthday. I've ordered 5 cakes from her so far over the years and she always delivers. Her cakes looks a million bucks. Appreciate how she goes above and beyond for her customers. I usually just give her a theme and maybe a toy for inspiration and ask her to work her magic. I trust her and everyone is always so surprised when I tell them I got the cake from Luckys.

I don't always shop at Lucky because it happens to be a little farther from my house than another store, but I happened to be driving by and popped in for a few things. Really, I should go there more, drive the extra half mile, because it is a nice grocery store. It is large with roomy aisles, organized, clean and recently renovated. All of the departments (bakery, deli, butcher, seafood) have a good selection and the produce is fresh. The store branding focuses on being located in California, with various signs and promotions highlighting that fact. The wine section has a dedicated case for local wines, which I appreciate. The store has some extras too; house plants, houshold and basic automotive items, plus a pharmacy. The only thing I've noticed in the few times I've been there is they have just a few checkers and the lines can get long if it is busy, but that seems to be the case with all of the local grocery stores. There is always self check out to save a little time.

I knew the store would be busy... and it was. The store was overwhelmed with customers, and it was like dodging cars on a freeway. The music was so loud and frenetic for having so many customers in the store that I left with sensory overload. Honestly, it would have been a huge benefit to the store and their employees to have calm music in the background to set a much more quiet atmosphere. It's known that music greatly helps to keep things calmer when things are this busy. The entire group I was with felt overwhelmed when we left the store and needed a quiet break from the chaos. This has never ever happened for me in an HMart so taking that into consideration. That said, I was looking for some Ahi for sushi making. They had fresh thawed ahi steaks for 5.99 lb which is a good price. Many people understand that freezing fish can kill parasites. They only had one pack so I asked at the meat counter if they had more. They said they would have them at 5 pm. The frozen ahi sashimi grade tuna was priced at something like $49.99 a pound. I've never seen a price like this which is was mind blowing. But I digress. A sign of the times? Not sure. I'm not a Karen. lol. I highly respect stores and how hard people are working especially on a busy holiday. I asked the butcher if it could possibly be given a bit earlier than 5 pm because I lived far away. He turns to another person and starts talking about me in Spanish thinking I did not hear or understand what he was saying. He was majorly bad mouthing me. I looked at him and said..."I understand Spanish." That's all I said. He looks embarrassed and said "sorry" and walked away really fast. I didn't follow him, talk to him, report him to management or say anything to even acknowledge his rudeness. I'm saying something here without his name on purpose. He was probably having a bad day. I honor that. But the entire experience at this location is one I've never had at HMart. Most likely I won't return to this location. No... I'm not mad at this butcher. I don't know what his day was like. I know what the energy was like in the store and the music alone with that many people could put anyone on edge. I didn't find many places in this store very helpful. We did get some great items which is why I rated it 2 stars. Otherwise it would have had one.
