Real Produce is located in the Almaden Shopping Plaza next to Trader Joe's. It's been awhile since I've been back but I thought I the past the fruit was pretty, though, now it's hit or miss now.

Real Produce if for real really good! the fruits are like picked fresh from the trees, the guys working arranging the produce and making sure everything is properly in place are awesome. One of them even took the time to go and search for a cart for me since there was shortage. However the personnel at the cash register could use a bit more of interpersonal skills and not leave customers to help others in the middle of a transaction. As per items, I found everything I was looking at more. The store is pretty and painted in happy colors. All look fresh and abundant. Only but is the super long line to pay and people passing with their carts was hectic. Probably non weekend days are less heavily trafficked. Amazing array of olives, lots of variety.

It is very disappointing for a big supermarket, what if someone doesn't have cash and their order is below $5?

This is a nice neighborhood produce store sandwiched between a Trader Joe's and Costco. The prices are reasonable and produce is fresh. Other than produce overflowing inside to outside, you'll find Mediterranean and Middle Eastern spices and local treats. Like I said, neighborhood store almost like a bodega so ambiance is no-nonsense. There may be a long line but cashiers are quick so make sure you have your payment ready and bags (if you bring them) ready. $5 minimum card payment and they do take Apple Pay.

They violate this by not accepting debit cards

They have a super cute little farm stand selling produce, jams, syrups, and a few knickknacks. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Cosentino's also offers classes and events among the fruit trees and flower gardens. I went for a beginner's watercolor class on a warm spring afternoon. Shaded by fruit trees, about 20 of us sat at a long table decorated with fresh-cut ranunculus flowers and learned to paint tulips (very badly in my case!) from a local artist. It was a really sweet way to spend a couple of hours and remember back when orchards were the life blood of the Santa Clara Valley. The farm features heirloom fruit varieties and picks them ripe, so I'll definitely go back in the summer for stone fruits and berries. It was a little early in the season for a good selection when I went.

It closed after a number of years and was very much missed by the community. The current family farm is set up in the farm stand style in the middle of a neighborhood. Back in the day, the woke area was dominated by orchards. Today, it is dominated by single family homes. Support your local community and do your shopping here for fruits and vegetables grown in the premises available seasonally.

I kind of laughed when I read the reviews from the people that bought fruit that they thought wasn't good. Any person that buys fruit from any store needs to check it before they buy it. That my friend is standard practice. The store was very helpful, identified level of ripeness in the different fruit we purchased so we knew how many days each one was likely to need to complete ripening before we ate it. Thank you for the wonderful service of bringing fruits around the world to our location!

A few days later, I came back to buy more, but they didn't have the smaller boxes available. The staff suggested I buy a larger box instead with 13 mangoes for $52, so I agreed. One of the mangoes in the box looked old, so I asked if it could be swapped for another. She refused and said they don't allow switching. I told her I wouldn't buy it then, but the cashier stepped in and kindly offered to switch it for me. She was the only pleasant part of the experience. The pricing also didn't make sense. The larger box actually costs more per mango than the smaller one, which was surprising. On top of that, in both purchases, at least one mango was not the advertised xoài Thái "ngọt" but instead a different type, xoài hạt lép. It feels misleading, like they are mixing in cheaper mangoes to cut costs. Overall, not an honest experience and the inconsistent service made it worse.

This place has been a San Jose staple for years and has been my go-to main supermarket for as long as I can remember. The selection covers everything you could possibly need, from international products to everyday household essentials all under one roof, the kind of variety that makes any other grocery store feel incomplete. What keeps me coming back just as much as the products is the staff. Many of them have been there for years, always friendly, always consistent, always making you feel genuinely welcomed. That kind of familiarity and warmth is something you just cannot put a price on. You come in for groceries and leave feeling like you just visited old friends. This Food Bazaar is a true San Jose international community treasure and deserves every bit of loyalty it has earned over the years. Highly recommend making it your regular stop, you won't regret it

My favorite brand is the Apollo fillo dough. I got a few boxes of that for my Armenian Paklava. And I couldn't leave without getting some fresh bread. I talked with Eddie, the owner, for a bit. He's so kind and if there's something you can't find, he'll help you get it. It's always a pleasure shopping here. They have the best international food items and excellent customer service. I needed celery for my stuffing recipe and yams for my candied yam recipe. Every fall they get the "Diane Yams", which are the best. They are a dark reddish brown on the outside and dark orange in the middle. They are sweet and delicious. I have never found these yams anywhere else. I buy them from Lunardi's every year. I got the items I needed and headed to the checkout. The line moved fast. The young man helping me was very nice. I went home and briefly looked at my receipt and noticed I was over charged for the celery and the yams. I was actually charged for sweet potatoes which are a pale orange color and they were $1.00 more a pound than the Diane Yams. I called the store and explained the situation. I had to return to the store and get back in line to get refunded. Abby, who helped me with my refund apologized and said the guy helping me usually works the late shift. They should do a little training on the differences between the yams, sweet potatoes and regular potatoes. A $1.00 more a pound is a lot especially when you have bought a large quantity. Now for the celery, I got charged for the blue tagged celery when my celery was clearly a red tag, which was on special. Not even sure how you get those colors confused. Next time I will check my receipt before I leave the store.
