    a variety of food items

Prices for some items are insanely expensive compared to other Indian stores which are few miles away. Ex: 20LB laxmi sona masoori rice bag is $23 at this store and $15 at Trinetra which is like 5 mins drive away from here. I didn't expect this huge price difference. I have been coming here from 4 years and took so many groceries including sona masoori rice bags and owner also recognizes me as a regular customer. After I got to know about this when I went and asked him, he first of all didn't expect that I will ask him like that and he didn't know what to say. He just offered me for a refund for one bag I took week before which I declined and walked out. Safe to say, I won't be going to this place from now onwards.

Stale Indian sweet ladoo. Avoid it.
    Grease Monkey ..

Stale food with no "sell by" dates on the boxes. I purchased a box of Indian sweet ladoo for my wife today and it was stale and was unfit for human consumption. She was very disappointed. Avoid buying sweets from here that are packed in plastic containers with no sell by date stickers. Wanted to support this local business, but was very disappointed to find they don't care about quality of the items they sell. I suspect they intentionally avoid putting sell by date stickers on food items. What a shame.

They have a super cute little farm stand selling produce, jams, syrups, and a few knickknacks. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Cosentino's also offers classes and events among the fruit trees and flower gardens. I went for a beginner's watercolor class on a warm spring afternoon. Shaded by fruit trees, about 20 of us sat at a long table decorated with fresh-cut ranunculus flowers and learned to paint tulips (very badly in my case!) from a local artist. It was a really sweet way to spend a couple of hours and remember back when orchards were the life blood of the Santa Clara Valley. The farm features heirloom fruit varieties and picks them ripe, so I'll definitely go back in the summer for stone fruits and berries. It was a little early in the season for a good selection when I went.

It closed after a number of years and was very much missed by the community. The current family farm is set up in the farm stand style in the middle of a neighborhood. Support your local community and do your shopping here for fruits and vegetables grown in the premises available seasonally.

I kind of laughed when I read the reviews from the people that bought fruit that they thought wasn't good. Any person that buys fruit from any store needs to check it before they buy it. That my friend is standard practice. The store was very helpful, identified level of ripeness in the different fruit we purchased so we knew how many days each one was likely to need to complete ripening before we ate it. A few days later, I came back to buy more, but they didn't have the smaller boxes available. The staff suggested I buy a larger box instead with 13 mangoes for $52, so I agreed. One of the mangoes in the box looked old, so I asked if it could be swapped for another. She refused and said they don't allow switching. I told her I wouldn't buy it then, but the cashier stepped in and kindly offered to switch it for me. She was the only pleasant part of the experience. The pricing also didn't make sense. The larger box actually costs more per mango than the smaller one, which was surprising. On top of that, in both purchases, at least one mango was not the advertised xoài Thái "ngọt" but instead a different type, xoài hạt lép. It feels misleading, like they are mixing in cheaper mangoes to cut costs. Overall, not an honest experience and the inconsistent service made it worse.

This place has been a San Jose staple for years and has been my go-to main supermarket for as long as I can remember. The selection covers everything you could possibly need, from international products to everyday household essentials all under one roof, the kind of variety that makes any other grocery store feel incomplete. What keeps me coming back just as much as the products is the staff. Many of them have been there for years, always friendly, always consistent, always making you feel genuinely welcomed. That kind of familiarity and warmth is something you just cannot put a price on. You come in for groceries and leave feeling like you just visited old friends. Utensils and napkins were brought out as soon as we were seated. Minutes after we placed our order, water was brought out. Both the carafe of water and 4 cups were kept cold in the drink refrigerator. We ordered the following: 1. Spicy Garlic beef pepper rice: My 12yo liked the dish though there was alot of beef left at the end. 2. Garlic beef pepper rice: Hubby says it was bland and had to add the garlic sauce on the table to his plate. 3. Curry beef rice with cheese: I really enjoyed my plate but it was quite bland. I needed to add black pepper and salt along with the spicy seasoning to add flavor to it making it more savory. The curry seasoning has a good taste to it and was not overpowering. 4. Chicken katsu with curry sauce: Hubby says it was good. Chicken was tender and crispy. Curry sauce was flavorful. It's quite good that my 10yo asked to switch his plate, garlic beef pepper rice, with hubby. My 10yo really liked the sauce as there was 2 pieces of katsu left and he didn't want to eat it because there were no more sauce. 5. Chicken karaage: lightly seasoned with a light crisp, not too crispy likethe chicken katsu. The hicken was moist and the dipping sauce is like a spicy mayo sauce. Ive never seen food come out so fast. Within 5 minutes our 4 sizzling plates came out and once we started eating the chicken karaage came out. We ended up eating it along with our meal instead of an appetizer. The two staff working in the front were very efficient as I observed them to clean up the tables quickly, ring up customers and assists with the food delivery orders for DoorDash/UberEats/etc promptly. Although service and food was good, I am not sure if I will want to come back as the ventilation in the restaurant is poor. It was smoky and by the time I left the restaurant 45 minutes later my hair and clothes wreaked of the smoke from the sizzling platters.
