    Spicy Garlic Beef Pepper Rice

Came for an early dinner, really fast service and you order everything from a QR code. Quite a good variety of menu items! The corn cheese is a must get from here! Ordered the spicy beef pepper rice! It was a little too spicy for me and I wish it had more garlic flavor / flavor in general. The sauces on the table were yummy!

Do not get the chicken katsu it was so dry!!!! The beef udon was a fun experience. The Takoyaki was really good. The service was good. The ambiance was ok.

Located in the same plaza as Sprouts, this casual dining spot is small but offers plenty of seating. Ordering is done entirely through a QR code on your phone, so there isn't much interaction with staff, but the process is quick and straightforward. My food came out really fast and was sizzling hot. I ordered the kimchi beef pepper rice plate. The portion of beef was solid for the price. The kimchi wasn't the best I've had, but it was okay and still added some good flavor. The add-ons are a bit pricey IMO. They provide plenty of condiments at the table to add extra flavor to your meal. Overall, a satisfying and convenient place for a quick, tasty bite. A solid 4-star experience!

Food was satisfying, and since neither my sister nor I were very hungry that night, we decided to share a couple of dishes. We ordered the sizzling beef pepper with vegetables and the kyuuri (cucumber salad), and both hit the spot. The sizzling beef was flavorful, and the cucumber salad was light and refreshing. Service was attentive and pleasant throughout the meal. The space is pretty basic, but still comfortable and perfectly fine for a casual dining experience.

I came here as a party of four around 7:30PM on Tuesday - we were able to be seated right away. Service was definitely quick! We ordered cheesy fries, plain fries, beef garlic rice, salmon rice, fried tofu veggie rice, as well as miso soup and cucumber sides. Portion side was good! Very reasonable price for the amount of food we ended up ordering. Would definitely come back to try their other entrees!

The food was amazing per usual. The service was mediocre, they take your order and let you be. The place is spacious and has youtube videos playing on the TV. However, the table was a bit sticky and felt dirty

This was our first trip to this Sizzling Lunch location. The place is clean and the service is very fast. Our food came out in less than 5 minutes after placing the order. The menu and food is exactly the same as the other locations. Everything was served quickly and very hot. No complaints. I'll definitely go back.

Beef Udon, Garlic Beef Pepper Rice, Kimchi Beef Pepper Rice, & Beef Pepper Rice

My friends and I stopped by for a quick and fast meal. Upon arrival, we seated immediately and ordered our food. I noticed that the store gets a bit humid especially with the hot pans and the store lacks a bit of air ventilation. My partner and I each ordered our separate dishes, we chose the Beef Udon and Garlic Beef Pepper Rice. The appetizer we also tried was Chicken Karaage. The dishes are a bit bland therefore you do have to season it to your liking with the sauce bottles and seasonings they have on the side. Both of our beef dishes came with butter, green onions and corn. If you want additional toppings, you're able to choose what you like and there will be an additional cost. Average: * The Beef Udon is decent. I enjoyed the udon. Since the skillet is hot, it cooks the meat really fast so if you don't want dry and over cooked meat, make sure you move it. In my case, I left it for a bit too long so the meat wasn't as soft and a bit chewy. * Garlic Beef Pepper Rice is decent as well. If you want something filling then this is it. The garlic does add some taste to it because without the sauces it is bland. * Chicken Karaage is decent. It's crispy on the outside and very juicy and tender on the inside. With the spicy mayo sauce, it pairs well. Final Verdict: Solid 4/5. It's simple and a quick meal, just meat with either rice or udon. There are a lot of dishes on the menu that you can try. I went with a simple dish so nothing stood out to me. I do want to come back and try something that is a staple and maybe be a bit more enjoyable. So far, the dishes I have had here are simple and hopefully I find a hit soon.

    Sizzling Teriyaki Chicken

I was in the city for Fanime weekend and decided to eat here for dinner. I have been to the other Sizzling Lunch locations, so I knew what to expect going in. I know their spicy pepper garlic beef is one of their signature dishes, but I opted for teriyaki chicken, adding egg and kimchi. Sizzling Teriyaki Chicken: Overall, very delicious. I was scared of having the chicken coming to me raw, but they cook the chicken for you prior to sending it for you to do the rest of the cook with the rice and sauces. I thoroughly enjoyed this meal, with the mix of rice, corn, sauces, kimchi and egg all working well together. The wait was not too bad and we sat down right away. Overall, I can see myself coming back here again.

Kimchee Beef Pepper Rice - also very good but the kimchee was only okay for me

Loved this place! Better than I thought it would be. Anytime you can mix food with fun you've got a winner. Well if it's good food which this was. Honestly about a 4.5 star place but 4 is too low so I rounded up. For the price you get a good quality meal and get to play with your food at the same time. I love the interactive part of the meal. It comes in a piping hot stone plate with a cute paper bib (totally needed to keep it from getting messy - what a cool innovation). You mix up the food so it cooks properly and then mix it together as you like. You get little crispy bits of rice as well as other toppings of your choice. Go if you want to have fun with food. FOOD: The quality of the meat was better than expected and like I said a lot of fun to play with. The taste and flavorings were good, too. I did the classic Beef Pepper Rice which was delicious. I loved the crispy bits on top and the rice was good (if you've read my reviews before you know how often places just can't cook rice to save their lives). The garlic soy sauce was a nice addition but I liked topping it with teriyaki sauce better. Also ordered a side of gyoza which was terrific. My wife got the kimchee fried rice (also good) but the kimchee wasn't the best. It was still very good though overall. SERVICE: Quick and efficient and the plating was great. They didn't come by very often or really check in on us but when we flagged them down for help they were very responsive. COST: For what you get I felt it was well worth it. About $20 per person, but I walked away full and happy!

I got the garlic beef sizzling plate! While there isn't as much flavor as I would like, there are great sauces at the table so you can season your dish as much as you'd like! Food comes out pretty fast as well. Service consisted of servers bringing out food, retopping your water and handling your bill- pretty standard service. No complaints here. :) Ambience isn't really a focus at sizzling lunch. You're there for a good quick meal and then you go back out. It's a nice place to catch up with friends.

    Curry Beef Udon

Came for lunch and was seated quickly! The food came out fast too. There's plenty of seating inside and the restaurant is casual. I got the Curry Beef Udon but have gotten the Beef Pepper Rice before and liked both. I'm not a huge udon fan but wanted to try something new and was pleasantly surprised by this. Definitely recommend Sizzling Lunch for quick, filling meals :)

Came here with some friends tonight, and I ordered the spicy garlic pepper beef and added mushrooms. We were able to each open our own tabs by scanning a QR code at the table. My plate came out quickly and was delicious!

They have shelves of dry goods to purchase. Refrigerated items to purchase. Their deli counter is towards the back and wraps around the front. I ordered: 1. 2 meatballs: hearty and delicious. 2. Beef raviolis: small but packed with meat and in their meat sauce. Flavorfull! 3. Arancini: I've never tried one. It's a rice ball filled with veggies, cheese and ground meat. Then rolled in breadcrumbs and deep fried. Then served with their sauce. Holy Moly!!! Why have I never had this heavenly piece of Italy?!?!?! Seasoned well and fried well. My hubby and I loved the ravioli so much that we made a point to check out the shop ourselves during the Goombahs Car Show in Downtown Willow Glen last Sunday. They offer so many authentic Italian & Sicilian treats here, like cannoli, various desserts and cookies, gelato, a full espresso bar, freshly made pasta, panini, focaccia, cornetti, and more! They even have vegan and gluten-free options which is a huge plus in our book! It's just a sweet little slice of Italy right there in San Jose. The lady who took our pasta order was so friendly, and we were mentioning to her that something in the shop reminded us of something we had when we were in Taormina and also this great Italian cafe in Sydney, Australia (there are a lot of Italians there too!). We definitely felt the warm welcome of this family-owned business, and truly appreciate that everything here is made with high-quality ingredients imported from Italy. My MIL also ordered a beautiful cannoli cake for her grand-daughter's/our niece's 10th birthday that we were celebrating that same day, and it was loved by all, especially the little birthday girl who loooves her cannoli! Then I realized the video was highlighting the best food spots in San Jose! I live in West SJ and it's a 20 minute drive to Antipasto, but I didn't mind, I had to find out for myself. I hurried up and went there immediately, only to realize they were closed on Mondays. My mistake, I actually went online to check their schedule, and got into the menu a bit too passionately, that I forgot to actually check their hours. So I went back on Wednesday, and decided to double check that they were actually open this time. Upon walking in, I was a little intimidated to be honest. Everybody looked like a regular, while I walked around like a headless chicken trying to figure out which side of the store to go to. Nick noticed that, and went out of his way from behind the counter to guide me and my wife. He let us know where to go for sandwiches, the butcher, raviolis, etc... Me and my wife got the lasagna dinner with 2 meatballs, and TBC beef ravioli W/ salads. It was love at first bite. This place was better than all the Italian places in San Jose, without a doubt. Yes, I'm talking to you Original Joes and Maggiannos. All throughout our meal, we noticed people chatting with Nick and the rest of the staff as if they were family. Who knows they might be! Nick continued to include us by talking to us and making us feel welcomed. We are fans for life! Great food, great service, what else can you ask for? The carbonara was amazing--served super hot with great flavor and a solid amount of meat. Easily a 10/10. One tip though: eat it while it's hot, because once it cools down, it's not quite the same. The seafood pasta was also a standout. Everything tasted fresh, the flavors were on point, and it felt surprisingly light for a pasta dish. You know how pasta can sometimes feel heavy? This didn't have that at all. Another 10/10. The pesto pasta (a special that day) was just okay for me. It leaned a bit too oily, and the pesto flavor didn't really come through. They added ricotta, which kind of overpowered everything else. I did like the portion and the amount of meat, but overall I'd give it a 7/10. The ambiance was decent--nothing too special, but clean and comfortable. Service was excellent. It felt like a family-run place--three brothers along with their wives and kids--and everyone was super friendly and welcoming. They gave great recommendations and even helped accommodate my mom by seating us closer to the bathroom, which I really appreciated. The portions and quality justify the price, and it stands out as one of the better Italian spots in the Bay Area.

This is our second time at this location. I am glad they open this place up so we don't have to…read moredrive to willow glenn anymore to get their pizzas. The two times we came here in the evening, we found parking right away. There is a lot of space inside with many seating. They have multiple tv's around so you can catch the game no matter where u sit without needing to turn around. The staff were very friendly and they did not rush us to leave after closing time the first time we were there. They have a good selection of beer and pricing was on par with other places. We ordered pizza, wings, fries, and pasta. Of course we ordered beers to wash down the food. They offer 6 beer flights which was a good idea since you can try different type of beers. They also have pliny the elder served daily here. The fries were really good. They were crisp and have the right amount of oil. I can just munch on these all day while sitting and watching the game there. We always have to order wings when we see a place that offer wings. The wing sauce was ok and the wings were a little dry. I like my wings tender and juicy. We also ordered some pasta which I forgot to take a picture of. We ordered the hot classic and built our own pasta like the chicken alfredo and creamy truffle ravioli. The pasta has a lot of flavor and I would definitely recommend getting the pasta. The meatballs have good seasoning and the pasta was cooked to perfection. The pizza is the real reason you would come here. The toppings were fresh and flavorful. They did not overdo it with the sauce and the crust is amazing. The crust is thin and isn't dry or crisp. It is soft and if you pick the pizza up wrong, the toppings will fall off. I would fold my pizza in half when i pick it up to keep all the toppings on the pizza. Like I said, the pizza tastes so good. If you have been to Bibo's other locations, you should definitely check this location if you are in the area. They have a good amount of space to accommodate a big group. The price was decent and definitely worth every penny. Cone out and give this place a try if you love pizza, pasta, fries, beer, or just want to find a place to catch a game or hang out with friends and family. The staff will definitely make you feel welcome.

Love me some NY pizza! Bibo's does it justice. They don't have as many toppings/flavor variations…read moreas the other location, but it's always pretty solid. One of my favorites is the goat pizza--I do like goat cheese and it's super balanced with the honey. Service is quick and they have really good beers on tap--you can't go wrong with pizza and beer and sports. They have a big TV on the wall, and arcade games, which is nice.
