I showed up bright and early, his team took a look at my car, did a test drive and fixed my issue all under an hour! B & D to the rescue!…read more Our beloved 2016 Prius Touring IV got trashed a few weeks ago after we hit a nasty, jagged pothole at 35mph late at night on a very dark street. Initially, we knew that both passenger-side tires had blown. However, after our car was towed to B & D the next day (I had found them here on Yelp and liked that they were local and had great reviews), Diko and Richard reached out to let us know there was far more damage than we realized. Right from the start they cared about both us and our vehicle and wanted to make sure everything was handled correctly and professionally. They gladly worked with our insurance adjuster after we filed the claim, took care of the paperwork and financial items, helped me identify, then recommend and finally obtain the proper replacement tires, and then went to work identifying and then repairing the damage. Today we got our Prius back and I have to say, it hasn't looked this good since we drove it off the dealership's lot 3 years ago! AND they not only did repairs, they even DETAILED the car. The work they did was above and beyond anything that was ever done at the dealership during previous service calls. Moses removed the tire, immediately found the nail, and patched it in just a few minutes. Second, my Segway Ninebot self-balancing scooter needed a brand-new tire installed. I'm admittedly a person who doesn't know much about cars but relies on on. So when mine broke down, I looked on google and on yelp for a mechanic. For a fee, they attempted to diagnose the problem and gave me their cost for repair. It was much higher than: 1. What their brand's estimator gave: https://www.napaonline.com/en/auto-care/car-repair-estimator. 2. What other mechanics quoted for the same work via the Yelp message center. 3. What my weekend mechanic friends said it should cost. Plus, on their receipt for the diagnosis fee, it said that Certified cannot certify that the identified problem is the only problem; there could be more. Thus, the diagnosis was not thorough. I used the Yelp message system to find another mechanic. The second mechanic diagnosed my car's issue differently, did the fix for a fair price which also happened to be 70% lower, and gave it back to me working within 24 hours. I can't say I have any reason to ever come back to Certified again.
