It's located at the 5-way intersection at Encinal Ave, Central Ave, and Sherman Street . It tends to have the lowest gas prices in Alameda. So why not buy gas here all the time? Because it closes too early, and it's closed on Sunday. They close at 4pm on Saturday. I stopped here today because it was open and I carry an ExxonMobil gas card. If I didn't have an Exxon card, I would keep going. It's an OK gas station.

" it's out of order, let me try to reset it" As I get out of line and go park in front of the gas station to ask for a refund he gets it to work and now 4 new cars showed up and I asked if I can cut the new cars since I was next in line. Good gas prices and convenient to Safeway and In N Out. I like to go to Safeway or Whole Foods usually and the other Safeway in the south shore shopping center seems to be a hassle as Park St moves at a snails pace with multiple red lights. I like a gas station that is clean and where there aren't constant crowds. I usually can get in quickly with little wait. I remember the pumps ran quickly and receipts printed. I'm usually not the kind of guy to get gas at a grocery store but the convenience thing and lack of popularity keeps me returning.

It's kept pretty clean, has squeegees with soapy water and paper towels, air hoses, and you can use your Safeway club card to take advantage of any earned points. Back in the early 90's, when I lived nearby, it was "Alaska." Auto repair and smog testing is provided by Central Auto Repair. Inside the small shop, you'll find the cashier and some basic auto supplies. The gas isn't cheap. But it's Top Tier fuel, and my truck runs great on it. I was there was a Sunday afternoon, and drivers were there getting air and doing basic fluid checks. It's nice to have a gas station in the middle of town, and away from a busy shopping area. The Alameda Gas Station is located at the Morton Station shopping area. Grocery store and restaurants are nearby.

I stopped by in the morning on 3/1/24 and a gallon of regular was just $4.09 which is the cheapest in this area. It was about $0.40 cheaper than any gas station in alameda. It doesn't look like anything has really changed from the old 76 gas station. The mini mart is still there. You can still get a smog check for your car. There's an air and water machine but it was out of order. Theres a lot of room to maneuver around in the middle of the gas station. Just be careful when you are entering and exiting the gas station. The pumps are located near the sidewalk and there are a lot of elderly Chinese people that walk around the street of this gas station.

For this reason I am adding .75 stars to their score. The employees will push you aside if you are waiting in line and they want to walk by you. They will NOT walk around you. I appreciate anyone with the gusto and swagger to treat others poorly, and without remorse, especially when on the clock at work. They have that in spades here, which I respect. I hope to infuse my own professional demeanor with this sort of natural dismissive hatred and apathy. Because of this, I am adding an additional .0322 stars. I will admit they have cheap gas - but that is because the quality is so bad. This is good, because I love low prices. I wear clothes I find on the sidewalk even though I have plenty of money. For this I am awarding an additional .71 stars. There are card skimmers here - if you pay with card at the pump you will be charged $100 dollars extra, and unless you keep your receipt the bank will not validate your claims. I am under the impression the business owner installed these to give himself a little bonus, but I have no evidence of this - perhaps they simply allow others to do so and can't be bothered to remove them. This is industrious and has an undertone of wealth distribution, which feels just and good. I am awarding them an additional .35 stars because of this. I have had engine troubles immediately after filling up here in the past due to what seemed to be high water content in the fuel. I am guessing this is to add an emergency source of water, so in case you crash in the woods or something you might be able to separate the water from the gas and survive and extra day or so. In the novel "Hatchet", had the plane been filled with watery gas, perhaps our hero would have been able to use it to drink. For this reason, I am adding an entire star to the review. When I was on crutches and I couldn't open the door on my own, they would not open it for me. They said I shouldn't be out shopping by myself if I was not capable of these sorts of things. I think they are correct. I was too pathetic and weak to be out and about without an able bodied assistant. I am awarding them .233901 stars for this reason. When I came with a friend who had long hair they said only women should have long hair and told him to leave immediately. When they threatened to call the police, my admiration for them grew even more. I think weaponizing the police to fulfill your whims is good, and is the god given right of any business owner in our sweet America. Because of this bravery and patriotism, I am awarding an additional 2 stars. These are just a few of my experiences here, and I am excited to add many more chapters to my book of adventures at this gas station!
