Fact is that I had already bought it but needed a fresh smog certificate for a parking pass at Utah State. Since Kent ALWAYS looks at my cars I took it to him for my smog. Kent gave me a look I rarely see after he plugs in a diagnostic tool. He looked at me and said, "you need to take this car back to the dealer." Turns out it had two gnarly engine codes that indicated a whole lot of repairs needed. Margot hassle but I did get my down payment back(very rare) because the car would not pass smog. We ended up buying a brand new car so my son should not have any issue. Kent does my oil changes with synthetic oil, has changed a fuel pump on my precious pick up, certified a dozen vehicles smog, troubleshooting which led to an easy repair for me, co2 sensor, and a new certificate. Diagnosis information telling me my precious had a burned out catalytic converter and led me in the right direction. I've referred friends who also have had great experiences. I stopped by in the morning on 3/1/24 and a gallon of regular was just $4.09 which is the cheapest in this area. It was about $0.40 cheaper than any gas station in alameda. It doesn't look like anything has really changed from the old 76 gas station. The mini mart is still there. You can still get a smog check for your car. There's an air and water machine but it was out of order. Theres a lot of room to maneuver around in the middle of the gas station. Just be careful when you are entering and exiting the gas station. The pumps are located near the sidewalk and there are a lot of elderly Chinese people that walk around the street of this gas station.
