As far as employees, it's hit or miss for a good customer service oriented employee if you go inside. I've had some very nice friendly helpful employees behind the counter, but have also had the robotic types that are just going through the motions. They don't say Hi or Thank you or even say You're Welcome when you say thank you. So thank goodness I rarely go inside except to get a drink once in a blue moon. read more

Like a lot of people, I come here because it's the lowest price for regular in town. I have never had problems with the employees like others, but I will say that in the past, I experienced a red flag when I pumped gas here once. What I mean is that I usually fill my tank when I see the gas gage at certain intervals like 1/4 tank or 1/2 tank, and I know how many gallons it takes, and this particular time, I saw that it registered more gas pumped than I knew it gave. What this indicated to me was that the pump had not been calibrated correctly, and thus, one would be cheated if paying for 10 gallons when it only pumped say, 8 or 9 gallons. Of course, I called the owner about this, and he compensated me for the difference, but who knows how many people didn't realize they were overpaying when they thought they were paying the lowest price in town? I thought state regulators usually checked on gas pump calibrations, but maybe not. read more

I don't buy gas here because they don't take credit cards, and the place is always crowded. The last time I was at AM/PM, someone backed into a pump and told me to get out of the way. BEWARE! If you use your ATM to pay for gas they charge you a $.45 fee. For those slow at math.... For instance you drive across town, for gas that is at 3.37 a gallon, and you get 15 gallons, it's actually 3.40 a gallon with the ATM fee. Also, the pumps are ridiculously slow. I concluded that they want you to give up short of a full tank because of the row of impatient looking customers waiting in line behind you. Thus, affecting the price further, had you paid with ATM. Not necessarily worthwhile to drive further down Park or all the way from Webster, unless you have cash or happen to be in the area. read more

I hate going in here. The only reason I do is because they have cheap coffee and it's a block from my apartment. The young gals in there do not know how to have a job. They complain to each other about work loudly in front of customers, saunter around in no hurry to help anybody, text and TALK on their phones, mumble, and one of them can't even let me finish a sentence. They're not there to do anything but collect a paycheck. I also find the blaring TVs out at the gas pumps to be unnecessary and annoying - I can only imagine how the people that live next door feel! This is the average gas station that does not accept credit cards. I wonder what will happen if you tried to use a credit card. The interior is OK with the minimum essentials for a gas station, and the outside is pretty average condition. Once in a while some crazy customers are at the gas station who scream and rant publicly. The gas prices are cheap, and there is free WiFi nearby that you can use. Be very aware of them stealing your money!! I Pumped gas and got in my car notice my gas gauge on my 2016 car didnt move. Went inside the store to let Karen the cashier know that the gas didnt go into my car. That maybe the pump wasnt working. She told my maybe my car isnt working. She then kept yelling "what do you want me to do ,that its my car that's not working and I dont know what to tell you. I asked her why is she being so rude. She said she doesnt care. I told her she was acting like a B****. She said I was a B****. She then said oh well not her problem that this gas station stole my money . I have never had such rude service before in my life. The cashier Victory yes thats her name rolled her eyes and raised her voice to me when all we asked for is a squeegee. Theres no longer a bathroom no Public bathroom so the closest restroom is KFC or Jack in the box or wait till u get to ur house. Everything has been recently remodeled . Great deals cheapest gas everyone there is nice. If u do use a Debit card its only .35 cents no other charge Not like other gas stations were as if they charge u a different price ALL ARCOS ARE ONE GAS PRICE. They ONLY TAKE DEBIT NO CERDIT CARDS! The best part is they have double punch tuesday when u get the drink card ( when u buy 4 u get the 5th free) fridays the 12oz cups are .25 plus taxs .31 cents summer is coming up and thats a good deal for drinks ! read more

these guys are such bull! we were paying customers and they told us the bathroom was "out of order".. then i walk out (but my boyfriend was still in there but apparently the clerk didn't realize) and he gave other people the bathroom key! they let us in, and it was pretty hilarious to go back in and give the bathroom key to the liar clerk., if i could give them less than 1 star i would!!! read more

I edited this review. I do remain concerned about the fact that machines and the cash machines are frequently broken. But I originally wrote this review because the cash machine took my money and the attendant was not helpful. However, I went back to try and resolve it again. Esayas, the attendant, was wonderful. He worked hard to resolve things and make sure everything was all right. I got my money - and my gas! I would like to encourage the owners to take better care of their station, but I will happily continue coming here for another 25 years. Thank you, Esayas! read more

thought this was 24/7? ive come here many times, as this is usually the best place in alameda! ive got my gas here sometimes at 2am, but no its 11pm and the first time ive ever came here and someone told me sorry were closed. there was a young kid with the woman so probably left the premises to take the kid home? i dont know, but when a gas station is marked as 24/7 they should have someone there 24/7. or at least leave a note on the door!! read more

Don't make it to the East end much but needed fuel. Stopped in at AM/PM and was surprised that they charge .45 cents to use ATM. Little fee, I know but WTF. Dug in my car for cash... carried it in, and RUDE cashier. Couldn't put down his cell phone to help me. Finally got his attention and paid cash. Went outside to fill up and PUMP BROKEN. For those of you who don't know. It is illegal to charge a surcharge for using Visa. At this location they require 40 dollar minimum purchase or they charge a 3% surcharge. Notify these vendors and turn them into VISA. read more

I've been an employee for AM PM for a while now and I have never seen a business run so badly in my life. And there is nobody I can complain to because the hire up you go the worse they get. You cant pay with your card outside so the lines are always to the back wall and everyone is pissed because they had to come inside and still pay 45 cents. Nobody else charges 45 cents why should they? And because it's so busy we can't clean and instead of understanding our situation they cut everyones hours so the place is always filthy.
