I think it's a fun idea to tweak a bite, but unnecessary...with exceptions to the chili oil. The stir fried fish fillet was a standout because of the mushrooms and vegetables! All the textures really mended together. The only thing I didn't like was the raw garlic. The Waygu beef was tasty, tender, and red! And the minced Waygu fried rice was just okay. The only shortfall was the wok hei was a tad bit underwhelming in the Waygu beef and fried rice at my last visit. Palette is worth a stop if you're craving elevated Cantonese that still feel authentic. I'd say about 1.5 entrees per person is a good ratio to stick with. FYI-The final bill already includes tip.

The food was absolutely horrible. We ordered orange chicken, salt and pepper crab, orange chicken,…read moresteamed clams with vermicelli, xiao long bao, Peking duck, and pork buns. The salt and pepper crab tasted more like cake and eggs, with absolutely no crab or pepper flavor. I don't even know how that's possible. The Peking duck was mediocre with too much fat on the skin. The xiao long bao were poorly wrapped, with mushy skins that fell apart and let all the soup leak out. The pork buns were generic and no different from what you can get at any other restaurant. Additionally, the service was bad. The staff knocked over our teacups and spilled tea all over our table twice. For $300+, everything but the steamed clams tasted bad. Never coming back here again.

We also all got a cup of the hot Hong Kong style milk tea. Loved the cup and presentation. Everything was pretty solid and I like that their menu is extensive and has a large variety. No complaints about the food / service, would come back.

For the birthday dinner, we ordered chicken fried rice, dry chilli chicken, dry chilli fish, and the sizzling chicken for my son. The dry chilli chicken and fish were the stars. Spicy, flavorful, and exactly what I had been dreaming about. They also surprised me with a flourless cake, ice cream, and a sparkler, which was such a sweet touch and made the birthday girl very happy. Naturally, we went back for Happy Hour, which runs from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The lychee martini was absolutely singing my name, but in an unexpected display of maturity, I stuck to water. K had the $5 draft beer, and we shared four appetizers: two orders of dry chilli chicken because we already knew how this story would end, dry chilli fish, and the Konjee crispy lamb. We would not order the lamb again, but the chicken and fish? Absolutely. No notes. I may already be emotionally attached to the dry chilli chicken. Savio was our host and was warm, responsive, and lovely throughout. This has officially become a monthly hangout spot for K and me, although I suspect the dry chilli chicken may see us more often than that.

I also ordered the Mongolian beef, which was flavorful and made with good-quality beef that wasn't fatty. My only complaint was the amount of sauce--it was very thick and oily, and enough leaked out of the to-go container to make a mess. The bean paste chicken was also tasty, with fresh vegetables and tender chicken, but again there was a heavy pool of sauce at the bottom of the container. Cutting back on the sauce a bit would make both dishes even better. Overall, the food was flavorful, portions were solid, and the prices are hard to beat. I'd definitely come back when I'm in the area.

Getting into the main dish, it tasted like the chef forgot how to cook Kung Pao, asked ChatGPT what to do with what they had, and just threw in table chili, chicken, and whatever leftover veggies were lying around before calling it a day. There were tons of veggies on the plate, which overwhelmed the dish and made the chicken taste much less flavorful. To make matters worse, there were absolutely no peanuts on the plate. Just like my experience over at Rickshaw Corner where zero peanuts completely killed the texture profile, skipping them entirely here was just awful. Verdict: A complete disaster with bland rice, overwhelming filler veggies, and a total lack of peanuts that makes it feel like a random kitchen experiment.

The server got us sat right away and was friendly. We decide to share a bunch of plates including the pan seared baos, different stuffed rice balls, stuffed scallion pancakes, fried wontons, cucumber salad, purple yam chips, chicken & corn dumplings and Mongolian beef potstickers The pan seared baos and the stuffed scallion pancakes were our absolute favorites. The baos were crispy, rich and juicy. The stuffed scallion pancakes were like tacos with the flakiest and most satisfyingly chewy taco shell. The meat inside was well seasoned and tender. These two dishes in particular are going to be must orders anytime I return. The cheesy kimchi rice balls and purple yam chips were both hits at the table as well. The chips they have made and come out in no time so you can start snacking right away. The rice balls were nice and crispy on the outside than soft and gooey on the inside. They had that bright kimchi flavor. The cucumber salad was good too, the main flavor of them was cilantro so if you don't like cilantro then you should skip it. The fried wontons were standard but satisfying. They did their job. Finally the chicken and corn dumplings and the Mongolian beef dumplings were the weakest of what we ordered. They got mixed reviews from the table. Consensus was that both were pretty bland overall and didn't compare to the other dishes we enjoyed so much. As far as the food there was a lot to love and a couple dishes we'd switch out for something else next time. But we also don't go in expecting to love every dish and are happy to have gotten so many dishes that we do love. Especially those stuffed scallion pancakes, they are the biggest reason this review had to be a 5/5. Also because of the good service and peaceful environment

They weren't kidding when they call themselves a grill Cons: Service will take a while. They seem to be a hit on DoorDash or food delivery since there were more orders getting picked up than in-store customers. Interior seems kinda unmaintained? I have come across this food truck a couple of times at Off the Grid events and have meaning to…read moregive it a try. One night in Foster City, I decided that this place was the best option out of all of the trucks present so I settled on eating here. I have never had dim sum from a food truck so I was a little apprehensive as to how it would taste especially since I am picky about my dim sum. I got the dim sum platter, which included siu mai, shrimp dumplings, chicken pot stickers, and joong (sticky rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo). I also got an addtional order of xian bing (beef meat pies) and the creamy pork cutlet with rice. The dim sum platter was decent. I've definitely had better siu mai, dumplings, and pot stickers elsewhere but coming from a food truck, they were pretty reasonable. I love joong and don't find it at many places so that was pleasant surprise and it was tasty. The xian bing was all right... it was clearly a pre-made beef patty wrapped in dough that was simply refried. I know I shouldn't be expecting something made fresh-to-order at a food truck but then I don't think you should really have something like that on the menu at all if it's premade. The savory pork cutlet with rice was essentially a version of congee (creamy rice porridge). It was pretty good except that they had put shredded cheese over the top of the dish. I honestly had no idea why they would do that and it was not needed nor aesthetically pleasing at all. If management is reading this review, please consider removing the addition of cheese to this item. Overall, I wouldn't necessarily seek this place out if I am craving dim sum since there are so many better options in the bay area. However, this truck serves up pretty reasonable food with a couple of items that you wouldn't necessarily find at the nicer dim sum restaurants.

The staff was efficient, though the interaction felt a bit impersonal, and the meal came as a fixed combo platter rather than allowing us to choose individual items. Unfortunately, much of the food tasted as though it had been sitting in a warmer for too long. There were a few decent elements, but freshness and texture were recurring issues across the platter. * Har Gow: Each dumpling had two full shrimp inside, which was generous. However, the shrimp felt overcooked, likely from being held too long. * Siu Mai: A good-sized dumpling with shrimp and a meat filling, but the texture of the meat was dry and lacked flavor. * BBQ Steamed Bun: The filling was shredded, but there was far more bun than meat. It also tasted more like a pre-made product than something freshly prepared. * Wrapped Sticky Rice: This was probably the strongest item of the group. The glutinous rice and meat were satisfying, although it still did not taste freshly made. * Sesame Ball: The mochi-like exterior and sweet paste filling were nicely balanced, but again, it seemed to have been sitting out for a while rather than served fresh. Overall: the presentation showed potential, but the execution did not match closely. Since this was a catered pop-up, I realize it may not fully reflect the dine-in experience, but based on this meal, freshness and quality control need more attention before I would seek it out again.

I parked in the parking garage near the movie theaters (horray for free 1.5 hours parking!). I arrived on a Friday morning, right around opening and we were seated immediately. We were given an iPad to order and after noticing there were none of our (somewhat niche) favorite dishes, we ordered the Combo for 4 people. The combo came with hot and sour soup and baked BBQ pork buns, along with our choice of additional dishes from a set list. We chose the six-piece soup dumplings, tofu eggplant, Chinese broccoli with beef, beef chow fun, and the Portuguese egg tart. I thought that the hot and sour soup was hot and barely sour, but it was loaded with meat, tofu, and wood ear mushrooms. The BBQ pork buns tasted great and were interesting; it was a mix between a pineapple bun and a BBQ pork bun. The Soup Dumplings were good, but annoying to eat. Because they were steamed in their own foil wrappings, we were not given soup spoons. It was hard to peel them out of their wrappers while still preserving all the juice. The dumplings were very tasty and the wrappers were just the right amount of structural integrity. The tofu eggplant dish was much too sweet for our taste buds, but it wasn't terrible. The Chinese broccoli with beef dish was very good. The beef was velveted very nicely and was very tender. My only complaint would be that the Chinese broccoli was barely cut, so be sure to chew if you get this dish. The beef chow fun was a bit of a let down; it was kind of bland, but it did feature the same large chunks of beef that the Chinese broccoli beef featured. Finally, the Portuguese Egg Tarts were silky and very flaky (though they did have a strange fruit surprise in them). Overall, I would return for their lunch combo. It was great value (in this economy) and the dishes tasted good. The staff was very friendly and promptly filled up our waters.
