Visited at the end of summer. Staff was gracious and accommodating, food was delicious and restaurant was clean with nice views! Definitely the place to eat in Edgartown! Will be back!

What a DISAPPOINTMENT. Honestly, the whole evening was just a series of sad, annoying, and frustrating events. To start, we check in and they say they're just putting the table together....10 minutes later and we still haven't sat down. Finally sit down and order drinks. We order a a simple cocktail (think- 2 ingredients and a garnish). First time it comes out, it's straight booze. Second time, it had the wrong second ingredient. Third time, no lime. FOLKS. It is NOT that hard to make a damn vodka tonic. ANYWAY, we order food. This is what we got - Spaghetti and meatballs: holy crap, a 6-year-old could have made a better dish. No herbs. Barely any sauce. This was a pathetic dish or presentation thereof. Linguine and clams: five clams in shells otherwise just chopped clams on top. Fine dish but nothing great. Grilled rare tuna: boy, take a fantastic dish and totally mess it up. You have this beautiful nicely sliced rare tuna...to only be DOUSED in eel and wasabi sauce. Seriously folks, put some on the side, don't drown it. The warm rice cake was a nice touch to an otherwise cold dish. With the cost, you're better off going somewhere else, certainly for the food. Overall disappointment.

I went with 3 others for MV Restaurant Week when they offered a 3-course dinner with some nice choices. My friends have liked this restaurant and I was happy to check it out. We arrived to find that the restaurant was not open yet for dinner and others were there too waiting for them to open. We were seated promptly along with the others who arrived before us. The staff was efficient, very experienced and friendly. The decor was comfortable and made it seem like we were seated in someone's home kitchen. I enjoyed the Crispy fried eggplant with burrata cheese for the appetizer. It was crispy and delicious. Next I had sea scallops with risotto for my entree. The dish was tasty and just enough for me to feel satisfied. For dessert they offered a strawberry rhubarb crisp with whipped cream which we all enjoyed throughly. Our wait staff was super knowledgeable, extremely attentive and friendly. We even had a few laughs. We will return!

This time we went with friends, which meant I got to sample a little bit of everything -- the short ribs, wok-fried lobster, and a massive slice of carrot cake that took me two days to finish at home. We also enjoy getting dressed up to come here since they've got the white tablecloths my wife looks for when she's sipping her drink -- so don't show up straight from the beach in flip-flops and a tee. The vibe is always relaxed but elevated, the food and drinks are on point, and the service never misses. That's why we keep coming back.

Normally this place is booked solid when we visit the Vineyard, but around 8 AM we decided to take a chance -- and luck was on our side. We walked right in and grabbed a seat. I wasn't really hungry, but when you have a chance to eat where past presidents, foreign dignitaries, and celebrities dine, you don't pass that up. I went with the avocado toast, topped with toasted everything seasoning, heirloom tomatoes, shallots, and two eggs on multigrain toast. The verdict: it was very tasty. That everything seasoning hits different -- I need to find out where they get theirs. My only small critique is that I would have liked the bread slices just a little thinner, but that's more about me cutting back on carbs than them doing anything wrong. I'll definitely have to return during drinking hours to try their signature Shark's Attack cocktail. Rating: Solid breakfast spot. Worth the hype. I eat, I judge. The fork stops with me.

A Culinary Gem That Outshines Even the View - Bettini at Harbor View Hotel…read more Bettini at the Harbor View Hotel is one of those rare places where the food, service, and setting harmonize so perfectly that you almost forget which one impressed you first. Yes, the view of Edgartown Harbor is breathtaking -- the kind that glows in the golden light of Martha's Vineyard -- but here, it's the food that truly steals the show. Under the remarkable leadership of Executive Chef Juan Martinez and Sous Chef Momo Camara, every plate is crafted with soul and precision. The scallop crudo was a masterpiece of restraint -- impossibly fresh, delicate, kissed with just the right acidity to let the sea speak for itself. The lobster bucatini came next, beautifully balanced with a subtle kick that added warmth without overwhelming the sweet richness of the lobster. And then, the beef carpaccio -- paper-thin, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and bursting with flavor in every bite. Service was flawless from start to finish. Our bartender Taylor made the most beautiful hot cocoa for my daughter -- just the right temperature, velvety, and not too hot -- proof of the team's thoughtful attention to detail. Andrei, our server, was both attentive and genuinely funny, effortlessly remembering each of my kids' names after our very first dinner. That kind of personal touch transforms a meal into a memory. Bettini isn't just a hotel restaurant -- it's a culinary destination in its own right. Whether you come for the harbor views, the impeccable service, or the artistry on your plate, you'll leave knowing you've just experienced something special.
