We ordered the pistachio latte, dirty chai, Cunda simit, and halloumi with sujuk. The standout was definitely the pistachio latte--the flavor was rich, nutty, and beautifully infused into the coffee without being overly sweet. Unfortunately, the rest of the menu didn't quite live up to that first impression. The dirty chai felt pretty average; I prefer stovetop-style chai with a deeper, more layered masala profile, which was missing here. The Cunda simit was very dry, and my partner didn't enjoy it and she found it hard to bite in & blend. The halloumi was solid, but the sujuk leaned heavily on a generic meaty saltiness rather than the bold, spiced balance I was expecting (cumin, garlic, pepper and the slight tang) --it lacked that satisfying umami depth. Prices were also on the higher side for the portion and overall experience. While I really enjoyed the atmosphere and would come back for the pistachio latte, the food side still has quite a bit of room for improvement.

Upon asking for it, there was a flask offered with almost empty tea in it. We all were just frustrated with the whole experience to start with. Then came the dishes. The bread platter had some missing the toast. Two of the omelettes with avocado on the side was a disaster. One of the avocado was very raw which my friend could not even bite on to and the other was served with the seed cut together with the slice. The next bad dish was the pancake which was hard. The other dishes Sautéed beef with eggs and Menemen with cheese were good. Overall the service and quality was not at all satisfactory. Upon our feedback to the owner who was also serving apologized not just for us but also for another two guests who had similar experiences I suppose. My only hope is that they will take care of this situation and serve better.

The first impression of décor and display, it is clean, intentional, thoughtful and cozy. We perused the menu and I decided on the fig and cheese croissant, accompanied by an espresso martini. We found our seats at a table and I could not take my eyes off the artistic desserts on display. One in particular was a tree ornament, made of cake, it was shiny and beautiful, almost too pretty too eat. Almost. My only regret is that I didn't enjoy one, but I was too full after lunch. Our meals were delivered to our table and even though I wasn't very hungry when we arrived, the look and smell of the food fueled my appetite. My croissant creation was filled with fresh ingredients and the decadent combination of savory and sweet hit the spot. The espresso martini was wonderful, even my picky husband liked it. To our delight, we had the opportunity to meet the owners, a husband and wife team. Both very stylish, with warm smiles and welcoming conversation. The wife is the pastry chef, I had to wonder if she ever had time to sleep considering the array of beautiful desserts on display and what it must take to perfect them, individually. We look forward to returning on our next visit to London hopefully during the warmer months to enjoy their patio, and THIS time, dessert first! And maybe second! I ordered the Big Veg (a bunch of vegetables wrapped in collard greens) with their nutty bacon, and a side of sipping broth. My friend got their Seed to Sausage on beet bread, also with a side of sipping broth. The service there is very friendly, and it's a very hip and cool place! I love the concept, and it gives off a great vibe. However, my first experience was less than ideal... The Big Veg cost me $9, and with the sipping broth ($3), the total should have been $12. For some reason, they charged me $15, and so I asked for them to correct it. The correction took a while, but eventually they gave me back in cash. However, the cashier mistakenly gave me less than the amount owed, and overall, the entire refund process was quite slow. Although they had warned me beforehand to eat my wrap as a gyro (as the collard green is fragile and cannot sustain the content's weight), by the time I had arrived at my sit-down destination, the paper bag was soaked through. The sauce and dressing had leaked everywhere! It was a very messy eat, and despite being very careful, the sauce just kept dripping down my arms and in front of me. I would highly suggest that they reinforce the packaging for stronger protection (i.e., a double wrap). The wrap itself also lacked flavour, though that may have been in part due to my decision to get the nutty bacon (which was essentially just hemp, fried walnuts, with some smokey flavour). Maybe try the cheese or the actual bacon for more taste. The bone broth, though interesting, could have used more depth and flavour. Given my experiences, I would have given two stars - however, I had a bite of my friend's Seed to Sausage sandwich and it was quite tasty! I think it really depends on what menu item you ordered.
