My recent visit to The Crepe Crusader at The Market at Western Fair District was unforgettable.
The character of the building was the first thing that I noticed!
Entering The Market I was impressed with the amazing collection of local vendors, you can find everything from fresh produce to quilting supplies, book stores and fresh bread, and so much more- there is so much to explore and enjoy!
The crowning jewel to my visit was a stop at The Crepe Crusader on the second floor, being greeted by super heros was a fun surprise. They really promote the family friendly atmosphere - offering colouring pages and crayons to the young and young at heart, and also then displaying these works of art both on the doors and on the their display screen, I was lucky enough to witness the joy in the faces of two young brothers watching their pieces be put up!
Beyond the ultimate joy I was met with, I was impressed with the extensive menus available at The Crepe Crusader - they have something for everyone - with sweet and savory options.
They have a meat based menu, a plant based menu, gluten friendly options, as well they are very accommodating in making amendments and adjustments when requested.
Their customer service is top notch, and their food is over the top! When I was there they were in a middle of a rush, but still were pleasant and welcoming and truly made me feel like I was visiting a friend.
I went with The Reuben Rumbler, their plant based version of a Reuben crepe and oh my goodness was I in heaven - the presentation was incredible, it was almost too pretty to dig into - the Montreal's Smokin' (made by their neighbours, Great Veggie Bites) had some of the best texture and taste I have found in plant based deli slices, the combination of flavours in their Reuben was amazing and most assuredly one of the best things I have had to eat in a very long time, 10 out of 10, I would highly recommend, and I will be back to try the rest of their menu!
I will definitely be visiting again and again, and have been telling everyone I know to check them out! read more
