    Plenty of cherries
    Faith C.

Big, juicy, (mostly) sweet cherries for $4.50/lb!! Love how they have plenty of ladders, but also most of the cherries were quite low to the ground--perfect for little kids as well! Had a wonderful time cherry picking here on a sunny Saturday afternoon. They supplied us with buckets/bags upon entering and the weigh/pay process was super quick and easy. Cash only!! Would defo recommend this farm for a wonderful cherry picking experience!

My sister planned for a family visit to Cherry Time on opening weekend that just so happened to land on Mother's Day. Didn't realize there were so many types of cherries and each variety having its own unique timeframe as to when they are available to pick... For opening weekend the only cherries available for picking happened to be TIOGA. If you are anything like me, you are probably clueless as to what a "tioga" cherry is!! Lmao. According to the staff, these cherries in particular are small in size and are known for being more mildly sweet. These cherries tend to be used for baking since sugars will be manually added. Please plan accordingly because there are no restrooms available for use during our visit- we did see a few porta potties further down but all were locked. Maybe it was too early in the day for the staff to open up since we arrived quite early in the day. 4/5 stars. Staff was kind and this experience pleasant. This was a ton of fun for our kiddos who didn't seem to be phased by some of the tart or less sweet cherries.

This place is huge with so many varieties of cherries. The raineers tasted great, pretty sweet and soft. We also got bing cherries but there were others we couldn't find. Since it was so big we couldn't tell what cherries were what variety but the raineers are yellow so when we finally found them we could tell. There are ladders inside so you can reach the top cherries if there aren't many left at the bottom. We visited in mid June and there were still plenty left. It was a bit difficult to tell which cherries were the sweetest but I personally am not picky. They gave us bags to put the cherries in. We ended up getting a lot of them bruised so we had to eat then quickly. Maybe not putting them all in the same bag would've helped. Also make sure to bring a plastic cup and water to wash the cherries inside.

The cherry at this farm is huge and sweet. If you want to beat the crowd and the heat, you need to be there around 9:30am like me.

I've only been to 1 other farm in Brentwood for cherry picking. This place doesn't require a minimum purchase, but that you pay for what you pick and obviously don't be obnoxious and pick cherries to just waste them on the floor. I found a few sweet trees and some ladders in the back rows. They provide bags but you can definitely bring your own bags or buckets. Very friendly staff, 2 entrances (one each side), porta potties in the front, and friendly staff. Cash only!

Sweet cherries sold by the pound you pick. Love the guided parking attendants. Ladders provide to share

We visited Brentwood for strawberry picking, but since Cherry Time was right next door, we decided to check it out too. We loved the farm--it has both cherry and peach trees. The cherries and peaches were incredibly sweet and juicy! The staffs were friendly and took the time to go over the rules with us. Cant wait to go back. Thank you, Cherry Time. It was a fantastic day.

This place has so many different types and so good. Best one yet and we went to many cherry picking spot

Cherry picking for the first time and had lots of fun! We went there around noon time and there was not much people and easy to find parking spots. The staff there were so friendly and greeted us, they have cherries, apricots and peaches. Their coral cherries were sooo good, and only $4/lb. I'll definitely recommend my friends coming here again! The temperature got higher when it's around 12pm.

Loved it!! The place is huge, cherry trees for what seems like miles of endless rows. Got there about 10am and it was like a concert parking lot. Lots of people but definitely spaced out where u hardly were near others. I went end of May so I had to walk a bit to get to the unpicked trees. Cherry picking is popular so go soon as season starts. They have a variety of cherries (bing, coral, some others). Price was $4/lb and u buy what u pick. I was picking my heart out and ended up with 5lbs quickly. Season is now over, will return next year!

(3.5 stars, rounded up to 4)…read more The Urban Edge Farm is well-known for their peach and apricots during the summer time. But who said U-Pick season has to end after the summer? During the fall, they offer other U-Pick fruits, such as pomegranates, persimmons, and kumquats. Last weekend, we decided to try out their persimmon U-Pick. I initially found out about when their persimmon U-Pick would be available through an Instagram comment (there weren't any lnstagram posts or events on their website directly advertising this year's persimmon season), but I also double-checked by calling them the morning of before making the trek to Brentwood. The front of the farm area is a little store front, where you can buy fresh produce that's been harvested directly from the farm. This is also where you weigh your fruits after picking them. After completing the liability form via QR code, they drive you and your guests on a jeep to the fruit trees (and back). During the short drive to the persimmon trees, we also spotted baby cherry trees, a couple of pomegranate trees, and what appeared to be a grapefruit tree. As for the persimmons, there were about 5 Fuyu trees and 2 Hachiya trees. There were plenty of Fuyus available for us to pick. On the other hand, the Hachiya trees were quite bare so we only ended up finding and picking one that was ripe enough. At $4/lb for both varieties of persimmons, we ended up paying around ~$17 for 12 persimmons. The persimmons that were ripe enough to eat were nice and sweet. Getting the U-Pick experience without the summer heat and with reasonable prices was great. The only downside to this experience was the abundance of ants on the trees. The ants got on my hands, clothes, and even my face and the top of my head. The ants didn't appear to affect the quality of the fruit, since they were mainly on the branches and the tops of the persimmon leaves. I wasn't afraid of getting ants on me, but it was starting to get bothersome having to swat the ants away from my body and the persimmons I picked. I thought I had gotten rid of all the ants before leaving and getting into my car, but throughout the ride home, I spotted some straggler ants on my lap and arms, and even on the windshield! So take that into consideration if you're not particularly fond of ants.
