Kyle's trash
Leo M.

I recently got in a horrible snowboarding accident, so I decided to go with movers. The 5 star reviews I read on U-Haul had me sold. This was the worst experience I ever had! We moved our stuff closer to the front for easier access. When Kyle came in with his buddy they were late bc of car issues. I wasn't upset bc I understand things happens. What bugged me the most is when they looked at my stuff and the size of the truck and already assumed it wasn't all gonna fit. I told Kyle it should bc I personally had put all the stuff in the truck moving up to Portland. I told him what I wanted as far stacking the boxes and not to stack things on top of my motorcycle. This guy just ignored everything I said! I didn't like his attitude and the way he bossed the other guys around, the other guy ended up doing most of the heavy lifting. I was also kind enough to go to the store and get them something to drink bc it was humid. Kyle left his canned drink underneath the U-Haul, which was hella rude. I kept hearing Kyle say I had so much shit and being extremely rude about it. If you're gonna complain about something like that say it to my face. He kept having me come out and look at the truck and saying that there wasn't much room. I noticed that he could stack a cabinet I had on top of another. He said, yea but you don't wanna scratch it and you don't have any moving blankets. I said I have a one and a plastic tarp, he rudely said the plastic won't do much. Once he was done, he said he stacked everything he could and even to the top of truck, and that we weren't gonna be able to fit most of our stuff still in our house. Basically when they were finished, my wife and I took everything out and repacked it. When we were repacking I found that they broke stuff! They didn't read any of the labeled boxes. Some said "do not stack on top of this" in bold black letters. They still stacked heavy stuff on top of it. I was able to fit EVERYTHING in my house including the stuff he said wouldn't fit and would have to leave behind. I even had EXTRA SPACE. What was the point of hiring you guys just to do everything ourselves. Kyle just half assed everything. I should of gave kyle's tip to the other guy who deserved it. I would rate this one star but that wouldn't be fair to the other hard working ppl.

Believe the 1 star reviews. Do not put your trust in these people. The owner posts his own fake reviews and recruits his friends to make fake reviews. I could not get ahold of the company for a week. The person who texted me said he is having issues with his boss so he would not be helping for my move the next day. I again tried to get in contact with someone. The movers first arrived to the wrong address. They then took over 3 hours to move a small studio apartment and made me pay an additional hour through venmo. They damaged multiple plates, there is a huge gash in one of my dressers, they ruined a storage bag and they left another dresser falling apart. I again tried contacting the only through text and email with no response for days. The owner blamed me for the damages and said he will not refund me because he is having housing issues. I don't see how that is my fault. He is refusing to come to any compromise. He is completely unprofessional and rude. The cost for the items they broke alone were $115.

Jeff and JJ were friendly, worked quickly and carefully loaded the U-Haul, making sure items remained in tact.

I should have just gotten my friends and a uhaul to move, but i was promised it would take 5hrs. i was billed 5.5hrs. tip top of the money i had left. and they didn't even have time to move everything. why? because their recklessness with my things i didn't want them carrying my computer monitors. they were hired to pack and move stuff across portland. they came at 1:30 when they said only to tell me that they didn't know they needed all the packing stuff. they eventually arrived nearly 2hrs later and towards the END Of the original window i was promised without any 'hey we will be there at this ETA' they said they got stuck behind a train, which is fine i guess? but no update after that until i called and complained, which got me a 5% discount, which is nice i guess? but like everything that happened after were MASSIVE red flags, both for the computer and the 'movers' which felt like contractors they just hired for whatever without properly vetting. i had a small move, 2 rooms. they were the slowest movers and most reckless movers i've ever hired. but i don't really blame them fully for that. supposedly they were working since 8am and just drove up from salem or something. they didn't even eat lunch. is that even legal?! no wonder they came to the door exhausted already and out of it. These 2 guys did the best they could, but honestly with how exhausted I was from helping them (something i SHOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO DO), they were doing a good job, but that doesn't really matter. in the end this guy ruined my 2000 custom built standing desk for music. not sure if i can get it repaired or fixed. he undid it and said he will put it back together. it was pretty easy just a few bolts into the joints between the wooden top and the legs and putting on the keyboard tray. easy stuff for the most part (when you have a drill, i don't own one). this guy didn't even look at where he was drilling or understand how the desk was put together after showing him specific things. he just drilled in the bolts and they hit a part that they're supposed to go into but was put in backwards making it impossible (on purpose) to get the screw in. this guy just kept drilling harder and harder and when i asked him about it he was like yeah it's supposed to sound like that. He either was so exhausted he couldn't think straight or just took on tasks he could have said 'yeah i don't know how to do that, can you do it?' either way now i have a broken desk that's only partially built and put together. i am really glad i moved all of my expensive stuff to my place with a friend last weekend, because they definitely would have broken a lot of very expensive things! I also gave them a mattress cover to put on the mattress, and they struggled doing that. You are movers wtf?! i zipped it up about half way and moved on. Then when we got to my new place they didn't even use it and put the mattress on the pavement to get a better angle or something. like what was the point in bringing it?! They also dropped a bunch of precious memories i had in a bin in a bin, they said they took them out because the outer bin couldn't close (bs). They were holding it open wrapped around their arm and i asked them to close it as it doesn't look secure and he said it would be fine, then immediately drops it with pictures and papers dropping on the ground and getting dirty. Anyway this all just happened. and there's no way I can live in my new place due to the lack of time they afforded to me to actually place things in the right spot. At least my bed is in the right spot. luckily for now i am in a short term rental because my last place had mold and why I am moving. i am highly allergic and being there as long as i did, both to wait for them to show up and how slowly they worked on loading the truck, I am feeling sick again because of it. The estimate was low balled to say the least because these guys move at a snails pace because this company overworks them and treats likely their staff like crap. these are probably more desperate people looking for an easy pay day. one guy was like 'i worked 4 days this month' and the other one worked 6 days in a row. a 12 hr day without a break outside of driving (which isn't a break) isn't really fair or legal? I paid nearly 1k for this move, and you can't afford to give these people a proper break between moves? I'm sure they weren't making nearly enough either. Lastly they pressured me to sign a thing at the end of the receipt that says everything was delivered intact, which i didn't sign. Anyway go with another company, not worth the risk. I didn't have another weekend to do this move as i need to have a livable space and that takes time as well. Anyway the movers were careless, slow, expensive, and ignored instructions.

DON'T WALK, RUN away from these people. Setup: I had already started packing. So along with sq-ft…read moreof the apartment, I provided a detailed inventory of all the large items, and an estimate of cu-ft in boxed sundry. I also gave them photos and suggestions for off-street parking. On moving day, they arrived 40 min late and had no information about the parking situation (+15 min for moving the moving truck). Either the estimator or dispatch listed me as a single room rather than top-to-bottom 1,000 SF apartment. They only booked a 2-person team for 4 hours (needed to be double), and nowhere near enough packing materials to finish the job. Between the late start and fixing all the problems, we burned 2 hours before even getting started. The guys were complaining TO ME that they wouldn't be paid overtime. Their preferred time-saving method was to simply empty kitchen drawers (including sharps) into huge boxes that also had paper lantern floor lamps, decorative pillows, and random stuff from my office (lamps were trashed). There were only 2 closets; both had gotten the floors cleared, but no one bothered with the overhead shelves. Due to limited space on the truck, I had to make other arrangements to move my couch, 2 living room chairs, and my bed. Once we got to the new place, they ignored the room labels and simply piled everything I own in the middle of living rm/kitchen. Instead of using the rest of my weekend to unpack, it took me TWO WEEKS to dig out, distribute, and get stuff put away. I made several trips back to my old apartment to clean out the closets and rescue other stuff that I discovered. I paid another $900 to have those last 4 pieces of furniture carted out and donated. Hire these idiots at your peril.
