Cut off all of my hair! Booked with a MASTER STYLIST, found out 1/2 way through I got someone else without being told of the change. JESSICA RUINED MY HAIR. Showed the stylist photos of what I wanted, photos of myself with a cut I've had before. She gave me a BOB type cut that was longer in the back, very uneven. I can't even believe she has a license to do hair. I paid and left because I cannot deal with confrontation. I got in the car and broke down crying. Contacted management via email and sent before and after photos along with the photos I showed the stylist. Management said they would look into it. They never got back to me and I've tried to follow up every couple of days for 3 weeks and I'm being completely ignored. I would just like my $120 back. The blond photos are the cut I asked for, the others are what she did to me, the last one was my hair before. It's just awful and I still cry when I look in the mirror. They had fliers outside for discounts and waved me in. I booked a cut and blow dry. They needed a card "to have on file" which was weird. Another lady said it'll just be for like a dollar. Not enough stylists. Rude management. If you are a minute late, they will not accommodate you. Don't bother. Not worth the time or remote location. By the way if you are the owner - get a new manager. No people skills. No appreciation that the customer and their satisfaction make your business. Where did you find that person? Hire a couple more stylists to accommodate the fact that people are sometimes late, and walk-ins happen. I know it is hard to find good people in this economy. But that day you got an irate customer and your stylist missed out on a very generous tipper. How can you keep people if appointments get cancelled like that. They work for tips. I had never in my 64 years left a bad review. I was a member when they just opened. I went 4 times in person to let me know if they were able to do my makeup for me and my daughter. They told me that they were going to call me back. They never did so I went back today, the person that did my makeup in September was so unprofessional and rude that even that I need someone for that special day I wiil never go back. I went here with many girls to get our hair done before a rehearsal dinner and our experiences were awful. We paid extra for a treatment to help our hair. We were told that this would help our hair in the humidity. We also told the stylist that we were going to be in an indoor outdoor event and needed our hair to last. My stylist told me to use a hot tool so we did. By the time I Got to event to change into my dress (15 mins away) my hair looked like this! I asked for the old Hollywood glam style curls. We went over the pictures on the wall they had of the various styles they specialize in, and picked one that works best with my hair texture and the style I wanted. After consult, shampoo time. It's so soothing having someone else wash your hair. I felt very clean afterwards and much better than when I came in before. There are various add on's you can add to your blowout during the wash, like a scalp massage or protein treatment, but I just stuck with the standard today since I only had an hour. He blow dried, curled, and styled perfectly. Not a ton of product either so my hair feels fresh and light, not weighed down. The stylist I booked with went home early so my 1pm appointment started at 1:30, I was then told I'd be charged for extra time because my shoulder length hair was curly. Which I had no problem with, assuming my hair might actually require additional time. My hair ended up taking less than an hour to blow dry *which is the average amount of time* ... but I was still charged for a service I did not receive... after all my hair came out pretty mediocre and I plan on going home and fixing it myself $95 later.... read more

I heard through the grapevine that many stylists come in to get their hair styled....i am so glad that I did this for myself! Working in a private studio, I really needed them. I am a sanitation freak and especially now, I feel that they are safe and clean. Everyone is using a triple sanitation process on their brushes and use a sanitized set on each client. I like early appts, friendly atmosphere, i even like the music. I've had several stylists with several different looks. I'm now with Francis weekly... I'm happy happy happy that I came! They accommodated our group of 5 well when we all arrived at different times. I would definitely say the scalp massage was worth t and my hair looks fantastic. However I won't be back because the staff just looked very unhappy and did not smile, laugh or be very friendly. It made the environment feel a little awkward because the staff was just overall annoyed. The owners just kind of hung around the front when they could have made sure everyone was taken care of. My story is sadly similar. I told the stylist my hair doesn't take curl. Without any mousse or gel (briefly sprayed something, probably detangler), she spent 1 1/2 hrs. curling sections, then pinning them to my head. The curls fell out later as soon as I unpinned them. I was really looking forward to my first true blow out! I have only ever had my hair styled after a haircut or for weddings. By the end of it all I left a little disappointed. I'd still say give it a go if you live in the area and are not fond of doing your own hair. They just opened recently. The girl that helped me was super nice and seemed to be doing her best but it was not the overall experience I was expecting. She was great personality wise! I just wanted something more special if I was paying for something I could do myself. When you walk in you are greeted but it was a little off putting like you were interrupting them (but I was the only client there). Starts with a wash followed by the blow dry. There is a non wash dry style option but you really need wet hair and the blow dry to get a true "blow out" type look at a salon. During the blow dry and styling my chair was turned at an angle the entire time so I could not see what she was doing. If she had done something I liked, I would have liked to watch her technique. Or if my hair was falling weird one way I could ask her about it then. My appointment was a one hour time slot and she stuck to that time pretty closely. Almost felt like okay times up. I would have liked more of the style I picked from the look book/ hair menu they had. I wanted loose waves and got regular curls. The products they use for styling do not appear to be name brand. They smelled good but didn't seem to do much or hold up well after I left. The most disappointing part was that I felt like everything she did I could do better at home. Maybe if you're not used to doing your own hair this kind of place is good for you. But the style I got was very basic. I'm not sure if blow dry employees are licensed cosmetologists as I did not see any licenses anywhere like a typical salon? If you are good at doing your own hair I'd say stick to that for the price. When I walked in I was greeted by the young lady in the front desk who did an ok job at welcoming you. She then introduced me to the young lady who would proceed to do my hair. She was very sweet and listened to what I wanted. She asked if I wanted a head massage and I thought it would be a great idea to get pampered. Hey sure why not. I must advise those reading this that I used to have a membership with Drybar back in NYC and I now regularly attend Just Blow It, which are great places to go and reasonably priced. Either way, the so called head massage was a complete joke. I would definitely recommend not paying for it. I'm pretty sure there was no difference between that and the regular wash. When she sat me at the chair I wasn't offered anything to drink so I kindly asked if they had anything to drink. I saw they had wine on their shelves so I asked for wine and she mentioned that they didn't serve any. Am I wrong for thinking if you have not one but several bottles of wine and champagne glasses on display for the customer to see then I should assume you have it to drink as well? I mean the wine wasn't a big deal but it's funny that you don't offer it but have it on display. I prefer other blow bars because they have different drinks to offer aside from water or sparkling water. The blow out was something average, they have a deal where if it is your first time then your first blow out is 35 but I don't consider that a big deal. When paying for my service I was offered a membership which I kindly declined. I honestly would've gotten a membership if the head massage was amazing and if I truly felt pampered, the blow out was nothing to rave about. But hey if it's your first time then might as well. I have hair that has a really hard time holding a curl, BUT it is possible. My hairdresser is able to get my hair to hold a curl until the next day and I've even been to Dry Bar and my stylist was able to curl my hair in the morning and it lasted until after a wedding I attended that night. So it is possible. My hair stayed curled after getting my hair done for MAYBE 2 hours. After that it was pin straight. I'd also like to add the first thing I told the stylist was that my hair does NOT hold a curl well. If your hair holds a curl well then this place is probably fine for you. I was over charged and called within 2 hours of leaving to explain and try to work it out and ask what I was actually charged, everytime I called and spoke to an associate, they were apologetic and said the manager would call me back. I came in to get a hair and makeup trial and loved what Yamaris and Chantel did for me! So I booked for my wedding. The hair and makeup were both 5 stars and I looked gorgeous. The reason for 4 stars I because since I had my makeup trial with Chantel, I booked her to do my actual wedding makeup. But when it came time for my makeup to be done, they had a different person work on me, and she was not doing it exactly how I wanted it. Eventually they just had Chantel finish it up for me, and I don't understand why she wasn't doing it in the first place since she is the one I booked with. I took an appointment for my daughter's hair (tight curls) explained while taking it on the phone. I had a 35.00 coupon for this place so I decided to try it out . I usually go to Stella Luca for color , J Christine or Autumn Nucci for cuts/ blowouts . The receptionist told me that my coupon was " expired " but there was no expiration on the card. They said they would charge me 40 plus 12 for my extensions . Fine. I'm attending a wedding at grand Cypress so wanted my hair blown out for a formal reception. I told Edwin that it was for a formal wedding. I showed him the dress I was wearing and how I had had my hair done previously. I told him I liked to have body in my hair. As soon as I sat down he said he would give me beach waves. I said is that formal enough and he said yes it would be. There was no mirror across from where my hair was being blown so I could not see what was being done.My hair is flat and barely any style and now I have to redo it after paying for it. I wanted to like this place because the people who work there are so nice, but unfortunately my blow out was sub par. My hair has never looked more flat and none of the curls stuck because my hair stylist didn't create any volume using the blow drier and round brush. Instead, she completely straightened out my hair with the blow drier and then tried to use a wand to curl it.
