I'm SO GLAD I did! The least of my worries nowadays is my hair thanks to the Brazilian blowout treatment and the products she sent me home with that I was also hesitant to buy but I'm so glad I did!!! Since I trust her and she's never steered me wrong I gave in. It was all absolutely totally worth it. Nowadays I take my quick showers using the shampoo/cond and then a quick comb through of a leave in cream. I've blown it out once for a straight bouncy look but have left it air drying for most days and have received nothing but compliments on it. Everyday has been a great hair day ever since! I was mostly going for the relaxation and this experience definitely delivers. I made an appointment online and then went to TCG's location in the Hourglass District. They did send a note beforehand, saying what to expect, how to show up (with unwashed hair), and to not show up too far in advance as they have limited seating. It is a small location and in addition to the Headspa, they are a full service Aveda Hair salon. There are two Headspa scalp analysis stations at the front as well as two Headspa beds in the back. The description did say that there may be other guests in the same room as you and when I arrived, someone else had already started her experience but it was fine. It really didn't impact my experience at all. Abigail had me sit at the scalp analysis station and then asked me questions about my hair and scalp, as well as how much pressure I preferred for massages (the 60 minute experience includes a leg massage, a hand massage and of course the head massages throughout), and what temperature I like the water. She then had me pick which essential oils scent I would like - I chose bergamot and lavender - which would permeate the experience. Abigail viewed my scalp through a magnifying camera and showed that I had product residue on my scalp all along the bottom of the hair shafts. I then changed into a robe and got on one of the Headspa beds. I was covered with blankets as well as a weighted blanket and it was so relaxing already. Abigail then covered my eyes and started working on my scalp and hair. To be honest, I really have no idea what she did, LOL, but it felt great! There were a few tools that really massaged my scalp as well as several different products. During the session, she massaged my legs as well as moisturized and massaged my hands. Then it was time for the cold rinse of my hair and my session was, sadly, over. When we returned to the magnifying camera, I was amazed at how shiny and clean my scalp was! Abigail then put in a detangler and brushed my hair. My hair is too short for braids but a simple braid is included if your hair is long enough. Not included is a blow dry, as that is a separate cost, but my hair was just slightly damp so I was fine. This is a great experience and I will definitely do it again.

REVIEW OF PEDICURE I…read morenoticed that this place seems to be a Jack of all trades and does everything ranging from hair to pedicures. This means all the differing reviews could be for a range of things. In terms of their pedicures, I probably wouldn't go back, but I wouldn't tell people not to go here either. CONS: 1. The nail tech didn't seem to know what she was doing. I went with a Deluxe Herbal Spa Pedicure, just because I went with the most expensive thing on the menu at $45. I was hoping this would mean it was the best and it is not very often I have time away from my baby so I wanted to make it count. I'm not sure if this was new, but they seemed confused. A woman, who I'm guessing is the owner, came over to help out. When I went back to read what was supposed to be part of the pedicure I realized I never got my feet filed with a special tool, the second wrap or hot towels, or what is billed as "an amazing manipulation of the lower legs and feet." The buffing felt pretty much the same as a normal pedicure so I wish I went with the Deluxe Callus Pedicure Treatment, because that was the part I was really looking forward to. 2. I had to ask them for something to drink. The woman I think is the owner came over later and that's when she asked the other woman if she wanted something to drink, but I already had water at that time. 3. At the end, they didn't tell me they had a heat lamp where I could dry my toes more. My nail polish rubbed off on my sandals, once when I left right away and once when they fixed it and I sat with my feet under the lamp for 8 minutes. I'm not going to hold this part against them since I didn't have the correct shoes for a pedicure. I was here on vacation and decided last minute to do this. However, this isn't the type of place that seems to let people sit afterwards and let their nails dry. It's more of a done and go atmosphere. I ended up just having all the polish removed so I didn't have to deal with the hassle. 4. It said when booking that the pedicure would take an hour. Mine took fifty minutes even taking into account I spent time deciding on nail polish, because they originally gave me the choices that are only for gel. Their classic pedicure is 45 min which is why in this case ten minutes short actually felt like it meant something. PROS: Since I just wrote about my nail polish fiasco, I do want to point out that they have disposable sandals for you if you aren't wearing the right type of shoes. I just knew I had a long walk ahead of me from the parking lot to my hotel room so I decided it wasn't worth the hassle. Their cheapest pedicure price is $15 and their basic pedicure is $30. I almost feel like other than the scrub and lotion with oils I got the normal pedicure, so if you go for that one, I don't think it would be bad. That's a pretty good price. They take cleanliness seriously. My tech was wearing gloves, put a plastic wrap in the foot tub, and wore a mask when she started coughing a lot. I know my CONs are way more than the PROs, but I think this is a good everyday nail place if you're looking for something cheap and fast. I would come here for the $15, but I don't think this is a luxury place so I wouldn't spend more than $30.

I had to make an emergency appointment with an opthamologist after my lash appointment with spa bar because I am leaving for my wedding tomorrow. I told the doctor I felt some extra burning in that corner while getting them done and the specialist told me the lash tech either scratched my eye or got some of the chemicals in my eyeball that damaged the surface of my eye. I called and asked to speak to a manager (to hopefully get a refund for the extra $25 she charged me for the style I wanted and the $25 I tipped her) but the manager was unavailable and the front desk totally brushed me off saying the doctor was probably wrong and burning was normal. Burning can be normal, but when a specialist tells you that you've damaged someone's eye, accountability is expected. Don't go here unless you want an extra charge for style, and then have to pay $94 at the eye doctor after they damage your eyeball.

I was greeted by the owner at the front and even though it was later in the afternoon I was able to get my service immediately. I was shocked by my price in the best way possible and left a healthy tip to recognize that I was pleased with my experience.
