Been going to these guys since I moved to FL 6+ years ago (Nick & Rich are my go-to guys). Always welcoming and friendly, and always professional and a great haircut. Most days, even when it's busy (no appts.), even if a few people are waiting, they're generally very efficient and speedy. However, at busier times, especially if you're waiting on one or two specific barbers to become available (they ARE popular!), it can be quite a wait at busier times. Recently moved down to Orlando on a permanent basis, prior to that I was part timing it from New Jersey (after being raised and spending my young adulthood in NYC where Astor Place was my go to spot). Because of that part-time arrangement I never bothered to have my hair cut in Florida. Times and circumstances changed and unless I feel like flying to New Jersey every few weeks I had to find someone good locally. I researched a lot of the local places and settled on Nick's. Besides being a short distance from me the reviews seemed to be exactly what I was looking for, AN OLD SCHOOL BARBER SHOP! Walking inside I realized they nailed it. Several barbers doing their thing with fresh cuts being delivered without flaw. So I put my name on the list and had a seat.waitinf to be called. Without knowing one barber from the next I was playing a game of chance but what choice did I have, I need a fresh cut. Turns out Nick himself was the first one freed up and called me over. Discussed what I wanted done and got underway. After a few moments I was super comfortable with the job he was doing, faded tight on the sides and back with scissor cutting up top. I enjoyed the short conversation with Nick as well, turns out he's also originally from New York so he and I discussed Italian delis in the area (lacking) and provided legit Italian restaurants I could check out. I'll share those as I experience them. Back to the cut, clean, tight exactly what I wanted and needed as well as getting a compliment from the wife. So yeah I found my guy and if you need that clean fresh cut then Nick or one of his barbers are where you should go. read more

The wait isn't too long even if it looks busy, as there was 4 barbers on hand who are very experienced and precise. It has an upscale nostalgic atmosphere. Most of my son's instructors, assistants and other students at my son's martial arts studio, Victory MA Dr. Phillips go here, and they are all great leaders with stylish, perfectly cut hair. FYI, the ESPN taekwondo tournament is sponsored by Paul Mitchell! I had to check it out for my son as we wanted a closer place than SportsClips, that was excellent with boys and men's hair, kallicks and all. The guy who cut his hair was meticulous, using a short handheld blade and scissors. There is no more odd patches sticking out in the back. It was a super clean cut all the way around his ears and neck. The only downside is that it wasn't cheaper. For about the same price, my son would get the MVP treatment at SportsClips (shampoo, hot face towel, haircut and neck massage.). So, we will probably go to both now, depending on time. read more

Absolutely horrible. I just had to walk out of a haircut halfway through. He buzzed off my whole beard, kept talking about chipping people teeth and cutting their ears off while he was cutting hair. I've been going to Nick's for years and every time I try someplace else, I end up back at Nick's. They are affordable and offer good haircuts. Because of this, Nick's has gotten really popular. So much so that the wait times are getting longer and longer. It's walk in only - they don't take appointments. My recent trip was on a Wednesday afternoon and I waited over 45 minutes to be seen. They've also added some new barbers since I first started and quality varies depending on who you get. Finally the waiting system is a little unorganized. It makes me sad to write a bad review about this place when there are so many good ones but I feel I need to share my experience. The place looks great inside, love the style and the guys that work there seem really nice. I went in for a hair cut and a shave and for 30$ that's a good deal. The haircut turned out pretty nice but the shave was NOT good to say the least. First of all I told him I wanted a trim on the beard and the mustache and I even explained to him I was not sure how much shorter I should go with the stache to fade into the handlebars at the end. After us talking, him cutting my hair and the shave, I must have forgot about the trim on the facial hair and apparently so did he. The worst part about the shave was my neck. It was sooooo incredibly uneven. I mean man I've only been frowning facial hair for like 4 years and I can shave more even then this, and I did when I got home to fix this mess. Not only was it uneven but I had this gash taken out lopsided under my chin that looked terrible. He also cut me twice which wasn't a huge deal if the shave was nice but it wasn't. I really wanted this place to be my new go to, with the great price and location but man I really doubt I would ever come back with such a bad shave from a barber shop that advertises that that's what they do. read more

I've been looking for a good barber shop that is affordable, modern, and cuts my hair the way I ask them to. Nick did an awesome job. I live in waterford lakes so the drive was around 25-30 minutes. I also had to wait around 30 minutes. There are three seats with three barbers on at all times. There were 5 or 6 guys ahead of us. Each guy sat down, told them what he wanted, and was finished with his haircut in about 10-15 minutes. I will be back for sure. For a quick good looking fade, wait for Nick's chair.
