I made an online reservation which was very simple and made easy with a great drop down menu selection. Didn't choose anyone because this was my first time and had no clue. Jay cut my hair "perfect" and even my local hair critic (the wife) was impressed!! He spent time ensuring everything was measured and right. Been years to find someone of this caliber. I can't say enough about the crew at this shop! I took my son to the new V's barber shop by Daryl Carter and the barber messed up my sons (14) year olds hair so bad. The cut was so uneven and so bad! I called the Windermere store right before closing and they took excellent care of us, fixed the cut as best they could, edged his lines perfect, shaped his brows, refunded me for the bad haircut, and were so kind and helpful! This place rocks! Did a walk in appointment for a haircut, and before I could turn around I was seated in a barbers chair and asked the styling that I wanted. The receptionist was extremely helpful although she was in the chair next to me getting a trim! It says something to me about a certain salon that the workers get their own haircut at the same location! My stylist, Connie, was very adept at understanding I had not had a haircut in a month or more and that I was sorely in need of a full haircut - not just a trim. The haircut I received was far more than just a haircut and more like a styling! Connie was very focused on her task, and very polite throughout the entire haircut. honestly shocked at the lack of hair knowledge that the barber possessed. Went in to test a haircut for my fiance for our wedding. Asked for a fade, leaving it long on top since he has great curly hair. left with no fade in sight, and his hair blown out with a boar bristle brush and waxed in place was the pure frizz this barber created. so uneducated in hair styles and types, honestly believe everyone in there was taught one haircut and thrown on the floor. extremely disappointing and a huge waste of money read more

Every time I take my son here they are always very friendly, place is clean and appointments run on time. Set up an appointment recently with Wil and he did a fantastic job. My son usually has issues with people cutting his back colic too short when they fade up and then the hair ends up sticking up. Never would I recommend this to any person with hair on their head. The only thing that was cut, was my bank account by the fact I had to get this fixed. This is a picture of what I asked for versus what I received. When I walked in, I had to wait about 15 min for service. My barber Mo, was angry and yelling w his coworkers 1/2 the time of the 15 short minutes I was seated. Others were given atleast 30-45 min. At that, I had to pay $30 dollars. I wouldn't have even paid $10 for the service I received. I had to go get my hair fixed at a SUPER CUTS that cost me $7 to make up for this bad haircut. The atmosphere is inviting and comfortable. All of the barbers are extremely nice and attentive to detail! They do not rush you through, a simple Men's haircut will last ~30 minutes. A hot towel and straight blade for your neck and temple areas are always included. They also do a nice job with precision using the straight blade for a hard part. I typically go to Johnathan, but the other barbers are great as well. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for. read more

I live in AZ and visit my grandson in Windermer once or twice a year. I needed a hair cut ( a simple buz #2) called your shop V's Barbershop - Windermere. Asked if they take walk ins and was told yes, plus told to get there asap. This was about 5:00 and got there at 5:15. I knew I had to wait and while waiting I noticed that half of your barbers spent 2/3 of their time cutting hair and 1/3 of their time texting and looking at their phones. This was while a client was in the chair. About 5:40 I noticed that one by one your barbers finished their client, they started cleaning up and putting away their tools. This went on till about 6:10 and then they put up the closed sign. At last the barber who sits at the chair closest to the window remembered me. I think he was surprised that the other barbers were just standing around and no one else had taken care of me. I guess they thought I was not worth it since I am an old man, in shorts and a t shirt. To his credit the barber did offer to give me a cut, but I declined. I told that if the other 4 barbers standing around did not have time for me, I did not have time to give your shop my money. The funny thing is that I have always tipped about 50% for all the barbers that have given me service. The next morning went to Great Clips, They took me right in and was treated like a customer should be treated. Jasmin did a great job an was in and out in less than 20 minutes. If you are looking for a quick trim, I would not recommend V's Barber Shop. Instead go around the corner to Great Clips, where they know customer service. We walked in and were greeted by Mr. Jackson (I believe that was his name) She did not have an appointment so we were a walk in, so we waited for the next available barber. We waited about 20 minutes and we understood appointments come first. Juan walked to her and greeted her with a handshake and introduced himself. Very nice touch! They take every step to make you feel comfortable and provide you with a great experience all around. Her haircut was awesome the lines and everything. She still hasn't found a good barber in Miami, so much that we drove to Orlando for a weekend and stopped to see Juan for another cut. Prior to V's, I had been to about 4 other barbershops in Orlando, all with varying reasons to cut ties. I'm sincerely grateful that V's Barbershop opened up in the neighborhood. Their atmosphere and attention to detail made me feel confident since the very first visit. I thank Lawrence the owner for this, because without him none of this would be possible. But I also thank Jonathan, my favorite barber, he's super professional. Jonathan, earnestly cares if you get a great haircut and how you treat it there afterward. To him it almost seems like he's only as good as the last haircut he gave. There's a thoughtfulness, effort, and serious skill that he employs to make sure that you leave feeling completely exceptional. Horrible experience. I have never written a review in my life. I usually let things go, but it hits a nerve when my little kids are affected. My son had a confirmed appointment for 10am. I notified one of the barbers that we had arrived. At this point, it was about 9:58. He looked at a computer for a minute, consulted another barber. I over heard her say, "Just reschedule it, don't stress over it". At this point I had been sitting in a chair with my son for 10 minutes. Nobody followed up with me.. or explained what was going on. I stayed for a few more minutes as I watched other customers go right into their seats. It was like I wasn't even there. The last time I felt this unwelcome was when I tried to eat at a restaurant in Deep South Alabama where they refused to serve me. I'm a new customer and had a pleasurable experience with my barber Sal. He was well mannered and cut my hair exactly how I wanted. I was a few minutes late and he did not complain but proceeded straight to offering me a 5 star cut. The only downside to the experience were the other staff members in the shop. They were talking about previous client reviews and behaved very unprofessional. Working firsthand in the service industry it's is completely Unnecessary to talk about other clients in front of the public - especially in a negative manner. I arrived for an appointment that I scheduled two days prior for a haircut and shave only to be told that there was an error with the scheduling system. They stated that appointments aren't ordinarily scheduled on Saturday, and that they were attempting to work through people that they had waiting and try to get to me as soon as possible. I decided after about 15-20 minutes that i was not going to wait any longer. My intention was to be able to get a relaxing haircut and shave, it is irrelevant to me if their appointment system shouldn't be scheduling Saturday appointments, i don't need to hear that, i had an appointment and expected that appointment to be honored promptly. There were a lot of children there and they even had a toddler crawling on the floor. In my search for a new barber shop i am confident I can cross this one off the list it isn't what I am looking for. read more

I had read a few other reviews about the wait. The person answering the phone said they could probably take me, I was going to be there in 20-30 minutes. I waited maybe 10-15 minutes, and Elvis came over, greeted me, and took me back. Hands down, the best haircut I've had in a couple of years. He asked me how I wear my hair, explained what he was doing, and had me set for a week of meetings. I felt like a rock star! He took great care of me. My family is in Orlando for a wedding of a family friend. Started out my day with a shave at V's in Windermere. I'd been to a V's in Scottsdale and was very pleased. I found a newly opened outpost here in the Orlando area so I called and was advised to come in when they open as they don't take appointments on Saturday. I arrived first thing and due to the great reviews I asked for Connie who I thought must be good since she her station was the first chair in line. Connie told me that she honed her craft in Hoboken New Jersey under the tutelage of two Old Italian barbers you used to cut Frank Sinatra's hair years ago. They obviously did a great job because Connie is an excellent barber. This ranks as the best wet shave that I've had thus far. She commented during the shave that "this is therapy for me". that's a nice thing to hear from a.person who is working around your neck with a very sharp straight razor! I highly recommend a visit for some relaxing grooming "therapy". read more
