I am writing this review on behalf of my sister regarding her recent experience with Erica, and unfortunately, it was extremely disappointing. My sister went to the salon on Friday with waist-length hair and showed Erica a clear inspiration photo of a cut that would fall below the chest with face-framing layers. Instead, Erica dry cut her hair from the back, where my sister couldn't see what was happening, and cut it to just below her shoulders, significantly shorter than what she had requested. After washing her hair, Erica asked to see the inspiration photo again and then told my sister she couldn't do the face-framing layers because her hair was now "too short." To make matters worse, my sister overheard the stylist next to her comment that it had been cut too short. My sister is young, a full-time student, and works part-time. She didn't feel comfortable speaking up in the moment, especially once the length was already gone. She came home almost in tears because the result was not what she asked for, and there's no way to undo such a drastic change in length. She trusted Erica with her long hair and left feeling unheard and extremely unhappy with the outcome. read more

I believe she is a newer hairdresser however, she was fantastic with listening to what I wanted, and while she was cutting my hair, we collaborated on the length and she made sure that she didn't go too short and took her time with me once I am ready for another haircut I would definitely revisit her, I like this location better than the doctor Phillips location. read more

When I lived in Georgia years ago, I really trusted Aveda products and Aveda salons due to the natural products as well as the amazing customer service experience. So when I was looking for a salon that I could trust to do a major cut and I was very pleased with my choice. My stylist was Ashley S. She was very attentive to my needs and what I wanted. She started out the appointment with a consultation before taking me into a beautiful stone room to wash my hair with essential products that were good for my hair and scalp. The treatment also included a hand massage and aromatherapy. She took her time with my hair. She cut it the way I wanted and double checked her work and answered all of my questions regarding my look and how to further maintain my hair. She was a joy to speak to, like two girlfriends hanging out yet conversing about informative product information and hair, makeup and skin. Came in for the first time needing a color balance because the blonde sections of my hair had gotten too light. Prior to my appointment I took the survey online to see which professionals would be a good match. This lead to someone reaching out via email the next day to schedule my appointment. If you are having your hair cut and colored it will be done by two different people, which is something I have not experienced before. I showed up to my appointment ten minutes early and was offered something to drink. I got coffee while I waited. Alissa did my hair and she was super friendly and easy to talk to. She was able to darken my hair, but not super dark as one would do in the fall. A summery dark, which was perfect. I added a blow dry to my appointment where Alissa curled my hair. if you are someone with dark hair like dark brown or black and looking to color it in streaks or balayage, beware. I am an Asian and have naturally black hair. I had gone in for a consultation wanting to highlight my hair for adding some dimension. The color I wanted were dark espresso streaks all over my hair. I had a consultation with Their color specialist Jojo and she was confident she could get it done Af treat I showed her a picture of what I wanted. the day of the appointment they had everything ready and she started working on my hair. Bleached it then toned it. I confirmed again if the color would be what I had asked for And the answer was yes. When my hair was washed and she was starting to dry my hair, i had thick uneven streaks of brassy orange and it looked like only the crown was done. I asked about it and she replied that since I wanted Partial hair this is what they do. I was shocked that first they did not pencil in that I wanted my entire hair done and then I had brassy orange. She told me to come back and she would fix it. they charged me 200$ for this service. I went back and now they had another specialist fix my hair she tried to fix the damage, but could not give me the color I wanted. They did the service for free but the color was a lighter brown. with every wash the color keeps getting lighter and I can see the original brassy orange coming back. i have colored my hair before in Asia but my hair has never been messed up this badly. Coloring damages the hair and make it dry. But after what was done with Aveda bleaching and toning my hair is like jumbled hay. I will have to do some serious recovery of my hair for it to not get that dry and neat like. My hair got completely ruined. I have been using color care products and my hair is no where close to being soft and shiny. This was a huge mistake. They made my hair horrible with the toning and bleaching. They say their products are milder than the ones in the market but my experience has been that L'Oréal products, Majirel, they are better for any kind of hair color than Aveda products. It was a very disappointing experience and now I have horribly dry and jumbled hair at all times. read more

I honestly really like this salon! And I'm someone who have been traumatized from going to salons in the past. I made an appointment to get just a haircut. When I arrived, I was greeted and waited in the waiting area which was very comfortable and had nice ambiance. The waiting area has a lot of products, not just hair but also cosmetic. Then the stylist's assistant came to get me and gave me a tour of the place. Initially I felt like I might get pressured into buying things or upgrading my service. But they didn't do any of that so I was relieved. After the tour, the assistant took me to wash my hair. She offered aromatherapy & hands/arms massage, which I gladly accepted (hoping it didn't cost me much more money). After that I met my stylist and discussed the hairstyle I wanted. She was very helpful and gave her honest opinion of what she'd change based on what how I currently treat my hair (no heat, minimal care). I honestly really appreciate that because it avoided any surprises for me later on. We agreed on adjusting the hairstyle and she got working. It didn't take too long to cut but took a bit to blow dry since I have a lot of hair. My hair was considered extra long (a little above my waist) and it costed $95, which was the cost they told me when I made the appointment. I was honestly surprised that wash, aromatherapy, massage, and blow dry was already included in the price they gave me initially and they didn't charge me any extra! Horrible Especially Nonna who killed my hair because she oversold. This elderly woman should not be working with people. When I came back to ask that they fixed my hair as elderly Nonna did not follow my request she laughed at me in front of the entire store, mocked me and refused to leave to go to the back of the store when the manager asked her to. She also had her assistant Carole wash my hair with her hair hitting my eyes totally gross. I asked her to stop and she refused.
