Ebony did a fantastic job on my hair today. I came in at 7:30 pm and they were able to accommodate me. Usually when i go into a salon as a walk in, i have to wait quite a bit because i have long thick hair and they prioritize the easy cuts first. I didn't feel that way here at all! Ebony was extremely thorough with my shampoo and made sure to get any buildup out. She also had lots of great recommendations. Trying to return products that I just bought. There were at least 5 stylists there and not a single one of them knew how to do a return, poor Kat who was amazing and very apologetic at the time called Claudia the manager and instead of walking her through the process, her one problem solving skill was for me to come back tomorrow. Second location I had to stop at because apparently the managers there don't take the time to trainer their people the proper way so that way problems like this don't arise. Quite honestly the worst haircut I've ever had. Asked for face framing and a trim and somehow ended up with choppy uneven layers around my entire head. I've spent two years trying to grow out my length just to end up with super short choppy layers that will take me another two years to grow back. Super unprofessional as well. Don't expect to leave the salon without buying something. Firstly, i wanted an inch trim haircut and to re-do my layers which normally takes at least 5-10 minutes. She did maybe three snips and said i was done. My stylist then told me all my hair was going to fall out and I needed thickening shampoo in order to have hair by the time I'm 35. I bought the shampoo and then returned it the next day because it made my scalp burn. When I went to return it, another stylist said how hard it is to process returns and I had to wait 25 minutes for someone to be able to help me. She also made it seem like "being allergic" wasn't a valid reason and she tried to push me to buy tons more products! (But if I'm allergic to something I don't want to buy any fancy shampoo until I know what I'm allergic to) after a 10 minute debate of my return and time saying no to other products I was finally able to return the shampoo. The following day, I look at my receipt and I gave her a $5 tip for a $20 "2 minute haircut" and then I notice that on the shampoo purchase receipt it says I then gave her an $11 tip! She gave herself a tip for the shampoo!! :( Needless to say I won't be returning... read more

Really nice employees but I was not impressed with the stylists choices on certain areas. I thought I was clear on what I wanted, yet instead of asking how I would like certain things: decisions we just made. Also coloring was not thorough on sides. Anyway it is "just hair" & will grow back. I'd also expect a bit more for the price point. I would probably go back because the stylist was so nice and it is convenient. I'm sure once they learn how I like my hair it will be perfect. When that day comes I will leave another much higher review. read more

I only went for a hair wash and blowout and Virginia made it SO complicated with all the various ways she could upsell the transaction. First my hair was long, then thick, then dry, then oily - and prices and options changed with every "revelation" until she understood I wasn't going to bite. From blaming the shampoo I use (so I could buy the shampoo they sell) to talking about some "build up" in my hair which I know to not be true, this salon and hairstylist need to find the true meaning of customer service. AKA it's not do less and make more. The hair wash was the fastest I've had - I wonder if the shampoo even came off. Never going back there again. read more

I love this salon, great energy and talented stylists. Its not like some of the others ive been to. My favorite stylist is kyla. I highly recommend her. She really takes her time on a good fade and shape up. I actually wont let anybody eles touch my hair since shes been doing it, her fades are on point everytime. Scheduled a basic haircut, was able to walk in and be taken back right away. Added on an eye brow wax, which was also easy to add. Overall, the experience was fine but missing some of the "nicer" touches I'm used to from other budget salons. When washing my hair, there was no towel or cape offered so I got wet during and after as I had to walk back to the chair with my hair dripping wet. The hair brush used to brush my hair had lots of someone else's hair in it, which I didn't love. The cut itself took about 5 minutes, which is much faster than I've ever had a haircut. After he was done cutting, he asked if I wanted it blown dry, to which I said yes. He then told me it would be $36 (more than the haircut itself) to have it dried. I quickly passed on that as that's a ludicrous price. Overall, my hair was cut but the experience was not that great. I haven't had a chance to look at the back of my head yet but I'm hoping it will be fine since it was a basic cut. read more

I have been going to the Hair Cuttery for three years. My stylist, Kyla, began at another Hair Cuttery location and when she moved (about 6months ago) I followed. The reasons are many...but the first reason that I became a return customer was because Kyla remembered me. She gives great customer service and I have never been disappointed in my hair cuts, colors, or foils...as you can see I have used most of their services. The prices are very fair and, most importantly, the customer service is great. My husband and son also get their hair cut at Hair Cuttery but they aren't selective on who "does them". They have never had a bad hair cut from any of the stylists at Hair Cuttery and that is why we are loyal, repeat clients. read more

After showing the stylist lennie ( black short hair, gold tooth) a detailed picture and description of my desired bang length and cut she proceeds to give me an asymmetric short as can be cut. Stoping her and saying that's its too short she laughs and says " well that's what you wanted". I told her it wasn't and she proceeds to continue to laugh with no concern that I was distraught and very upset. The manager Amanda was gracious enough to try and fix the horrible cut but with no real success. Please avoid this stylist and this hair cuttery all together. read more

I gave her specific details, using basic cosmetology terms and she neglected what I asked and cut my hair down to the skin with the clippers. After that there was no turning back so I suffered through it and left thinking I would be going home to shave my head bald... I've been in here several times to get my eyebrows done, with no problems. Got my hair cut and styled a month ago, which also was fine. Today, I went in for a basic shampoo and blow dry, which is listed online as being $17, and got my eyebrows done as well ($8). When the time came to pay, I was charged $36. I told the stylist what the online price listed was, and she said that I either misread it or it was a short hair price (my hair is above shoulder length, and in no way qualifies as long hair, so I don't see how that would have mattered). She seemed not to really care or want to make things right, despite the fact that I had sat to the side halfway through my hair being dried for what she promised would be only ten minutes (ended up being more like 30) so she could take a client who had made an advance appointment. She rushed me through the whole thing could barely explain what I wanted. I planned on getting a blow out but she ripped my cape off and walked towards the register for me to pay before I had the chance to ask.They offered to blow dry my hair but at that point I just wanted to leave. This was my 2nd appointment, as it was supposed to correct the mistakes of my first visit on November 21st. My original appointment was for a partial foil. I paid over $100 and my hair looked like it had not been touched. I contacted the manager and she scheduled me with her best color stylist who is also the assistant manager on 12/5. This was the worst experience. My appointment was at 1:30pm and I did not leave until 7pm. My hair went purple and orange. It was a disaster. I began to worry it was going to fall out. My hair was foiled and stripped 3 times. I was exhausted. I requested for the stylist to call her manager. I was taken to the break room to talk with the manager. The stylist was crying and upset. She was very sweet, but she totally messed up my hair. I demanded a refund and so rebuilding hair products so that I could go somewhere else and get my hair done. The manager told me she would come in on 12/6 and work on getting me the refund. I paid with a debit card, so I am uncertain why she couldn't just issue me a refund at that time. The manager said is was a new system and complicated. On 12/6 she texted me and asked me for my address to send a gift card. This is absolutely ridiculous. I just want my money back so I can get my hair fixed somewhere else, not the Hair Cuttery. She said it was something her district leader would have to take care of because it was a new system and she could not do it. She said she would let me know as soon as she had an answer. Later that evening on 12/6, she texted me and said the district leader would have to take her through the process for the refund. The manager said she would be in contact with me and let me know as soon as the refund was issued. I texted her on Wednesday. She responded with, "It is still pending ". I texted her this morning and no response. I truly feel that this is being handled unprofessionally and I am definitely being taken advantage of. I paid good money for my hair to be ruined. Was pleasantly surprised and SUPER HAPPY with my cut. Recently relocated from NY last summer. I've been needing to find a stylist who would understand my hair needs. I had gone somewhere else months ago for my "first" cut. It was "OK." As it grew out, I could see how that stylist was perhaps not as experienced as I would have hoped. Fast forward just a few days ago and I thought I'd try Hair Cuttery. From the moment you walk in you can tell the difference. I'm very pleased with my cut. I asked for an extremely simple hair cut. One inch off the end and layers and thin it out. Lynnie confirmed what I wanted so I know she understood and then apparently just decided to do whatever she wanted. She cut the ends, but didn't touch the layers. She didn't do any thinning which I told her was the main reason I came. She commented on my grays until the point that it made me feel very uncomfortable. I have a few grays in my part and that is it. I told her 3 times I didn't care about the grays, but then without asking she sprayed some crap on my head that turned them black and made my hair crispy. I now have to wash my hair again because I look disgusting. I will NEVER go back to this location again. Lynnie was by far the WORST hair dresser I have ever had. read more
